Fabulous!

I loved this book! It drawed me in so much as I read it in 4 hours none stop. I would recommend this book to people who have read Clare's first book and to people who really need a good book to get into. I hope that Clare creates a brand new book filled with loads more adventure for all of us to enjoy!

Charlie and her family are back as shockingly their beloved racehorse Noble Warrior gets stolen in the night and her best friend Polly gets injured too as the thieves get away!

As they enter the dark other world of illegal horse racing and await to see how Polly will be and if she'll even recover...

I enjoyed the book granted not as much as the first but the drama was next level with Polly and the horse drama it added an extra oomph to the series and Charlie is such a fabulous young character brave, daring and courageous is never giving up I hope she can inspire kids to be like that too who pick this book up!

The Charlie Bass series prove to be extremely sweet and humorous. The only problem I have with them is that they are packed with references of sport stars of whom I doubt the aimed readers (7 to 9 year olds) will have any knowledge of.
Also as the characters make frequent use of modern devices like IPads, I'm worried if these novels will stand the test if time.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED! Such a easy read!

I LOVE reading these type of 250 page books straight after I have either had a reading slump or simply just wanting to read a short story.

I love the concept of the story and how it easily followed the other book which is called “The racehorse who couldn’t gallop” reminds me so much of Roald Dahl and you can never be too old!

Es el segundo libro que leo de esta autora. Me encanta.

I liked it and the storyline. It is sad what cruel people do to a horse for their own gain. 😢

Most of the story was quite predictable, but there were a few twists to keep it interesting. Good mix of child-friendly and subject-specific vocabulary.

This book was so inspiring and emotional. It is definitely a book for children from the age of 7-11. I really recommend this book. In some places I think the author could have used some more advanced vocabulary such as instead of happy it could be elated or content. Otherwise this book is amazing!
