Armand saved me from a despicable man, Devlin Wick.
What a name. It sounds like ‘devil’ and ‘wicked’ to me.
I wasn’t sure why, but I couldn’t remember the specifics of what Devlin had done to me, though I did recall the sheer terror I felt the last time I saw his face. It was smoky... or foggy. I’m not certain which.
If I really concentrated on that moment, I could faintly hear a male voice crying out, but Armand didn’t want me to think about that. As much as I tried to obey him, I found myself wondering about that man and that night, even though Armand insisted that he had gotten me out of an awful situation.
Armand was a vampire, and he loved my blood. He said there was something unique and special about it and that he would protect me at all costs.
He said he treasured me.
That was what I knew to be true, and that was my life.
Armand had changed me from the woman I was—the kind who would fall for such a hurtful person.
I hated Devlin Wick.

Each night without Jolie was torture, and I couldn’t help wondering if in some small way, she was feeling the same, missing me. The second that thought crossed my mind, I saw her screaming in fear of me, clutching Armand to her fiercely, while the witch closed the incantation, removing me from her life.
I’d tried reaching out to the Twin Ravens Motorcycle Club, since I heard that despite their outlaw persona, they were secretly the good guys. But if they were, they would’ve taken up the battle, rather than refuse to help me. Nothing in their decision made sense, considering the rumors floating around, but I had to move on if I was ever going to get Jolie back.
With no other choices available, I went to The Decrees to stand before Zane Thornton and beg for his help. I would’ve dropped to my knees if that was what it took to rescue my girl. But rather than Zane joining me, his Maker, the ancient vampire Reese Kelley, agreed to fight to free Jolie from the rogue MC Soldiers of Strife, specifically their president Armand Glaceau. The members were all Stone Cold vamps, exceedingly strong and faster than any vampire I’d ever encountered.
With a team made up of Reese, some of my old crew from Corruption, Inc., and a gibbering maniac who thinks he’s the prophet Elijah, we devised a plan to rescue Jolie and eliminate as many of the Soldiers as possible in the process.
But even if we save Jolie, and she’s in my arms again…will she be the woman I loved and love me in return?
Jolie was mine once, and despite the odds against us, she will be again.

I loved this book.
Jolie is stolen from Devlin. It takes him a year to get her back.
After he gets her back he has to win her love all over again.
Devlin is so patient with Jolie.
This book is short, sweet and to the point.
I can't wait to see what Elaine comes up with next.

This story actually begins towards the end of the Decrees where an ancient vampire, Zane Thornton has been hearing cases and passing judgment..... Devlin Wick has not come for judgment, he's come to ask for assistance. It's kind of a last resort after the Twin Ravens MC refused for some reason to help him..... Devlin's lady, the love of his life, Jolie has been stolen by the president of the Stone Cold MC, Armand Glaceau to be his personal blood and sadistic sex slave. She's a human that has that "special and rare " blood that myths speak about and every vampire covets. Jolie was spelled to hate Devlin and love Armand. He needs to find someone who can break the spell and he needs the forces to rescue her.
Not only does Zane live up to his reputation of being chivalrous with a sense of justice by agreeing to help but Reese Kelly, Zane's maker also agrees. ..... This is that story.......
I couldn't put this down once I started reading. It's action all the way, weather it be war like fighting or sexual, which can be dark, and cruel at times.......having My favorite vampires in the fray is beyond exciting. Mazzie Dowe kicks some serious butt too! Even London makes an appearance! And it seems like a HEA when all is said and done, but I'm not so sure about how long that will last. There's still something dark lurking, waiting, watching. I can just feel it. See what you think.
I definitely recommend this to adults only please due to adult situations.

Devlin and Jolie's story is set in the same world as Zane and Master for Tonight, I really like this as it adds more to the story for me, that being said it could easily be read as a standalone.
Devlin's story begins when Zane is seated as a judge, his known to be ruthless but Devlin has no choice but to face the vampire and ask for help.
Devlin is a vampire too and he is strong, he likes a simple life until one day when feeding off a girl called Jolie, something clicks and that's the beginning of a wonderful relationship until she's snatched from him.
Jolie has a ditzy feel to her, she's also caring and weak in the sense that she's human in a vampire world.
Devlin feels desperation, his determined to get his girl back. The journey isn't easy, our man has to learn patience. Along the way we meet a new type of vamp, okay they're not the nicest but they are interesting. Elijah is another characther in the book, he has a hippy feeling to him/witch doctor/magic man?! I'm really interested in seeing more of him.
It always nice to have familiar faces appear but it's also great discovering new ones.
A romp into the vampire world, full of adventure, passion, and sexiness.

OMG!!!! Elaine Barris has done it once more❤️ I have followed and read all of her books. This book starts at the end of the Decrees which Zane (baby) is the leader. Which was wonderful since I love all of Elaine Barris books especially Her series of ZANE!!
I have fallen in love with Devlin. He is so beautiful inside and out. His love who is Jolie is kidnapped by Armand. So, he asks for help which he does receive by Reese. Reese is an ancient Vampire who is amazing. If you read any other of the books he can also be destructive and very mean. I love Reese.
Here is another wonderful book by Elaine Barris that will be another classic!! I can not give any real info because you MUST read this!!!

This is the 1st book I’ve read and reviewed for Elaine Barris and it was fantastic. I don’t need to give out any spoilers because Elaine gives you everything you need to know in her blurb, but what I will say is this - I loved all of the characters especially Devlin he was willing to do anything to get his love ( Jolie ) back and he did. There’s action, adventure and some pretty hot scenes and I think that everyone needs a Devlin in their lives I know I do. I loved ❤️❤️This book and it’s worth more than 5 ⭐️, great storyline and characters and I highly recommend this book you won’t be disappointed.

Devlin Wick is a vampire, a former leader of the "Corruption Inc." M C bike club and mate of Jolie, a human woman who given him back his soul with her love. Then she was stolen from him and after her rescue she was damaged, fearing her lover, believing the lies her tormentors had told, forced to have her memories regressed to the time before she had met him to keep her sane. This book made compulsive reading as Jolie's rescue was made and then her gradual awakening to Devlin's love once more. It is a brutal tale of rape, torture, death and destruction ending with a reclaimed love of two soul mates.

This story drags you in immediately and never lets you go! I loved it! I wish it had been a bit longer but that is my only issue with the story and really that's only because I didn't want it to end, i wanted MORE!
But its so so good! Well written and smart! I laughed out loud at parts and I loved all the twist and intricacies in the plot that made this story fantastic.
I haven't read any of the other stories that are written in this world but I will be looking for them as soon as I finish writing this!

What do you do when another vampire not only steals your mate from you but convinces her she's terrified of you ? What ever it takes to save her, that's what.
Devlin will do anything to free Jolie and get her back by his side where she belongs but there's more than vampire influence going on here and things may not be as easy as he hopes, will Jolie remember the truth ? More importantly, will she survive the trauma if she does.
Another fantastic book by this author, she never ceases to amaze me with her ability to draw you into the story so you're experiencing it first hand.

Armand has kidnapped and bewitched Jolie, Devlin's mate and he will do anything to get her back. Now he is leading a ragtag group of mercenaries and various other nutters in an attempt to get her back from the president of the rogue MC Soldiers of Strife. Will getting her back be enough how will he cancel out the bewitching spell you need to read this book to see how it all ends.
This was agreat book and my first from this author now I am off to read the previous books.

This book is a must read! It is well written with a well-developed consistent plot and it will pull on your heart strings. You will feel sadness, disgust but most of all you will be very happy for the outcome after everything Devlin and Jolie had to go through to get there. This was a wicked ride. Elaine pulls the reader through Jolie's hell . The incredible dedication shown by Devlin's to save his woman and take out the group that stole her. It must here been difficult to sit back and listen to her when she was going through the process to try to rid the evil that had overtaken her.

This is a super well-written book that will have you hooked until the very last page if you like a good paranormal romance like I do then you will really enjoy this one.It had a fantastic storyline and wonderful characters that you cannot help but like and root for.This was a great read and I cannot wait to read more from Elaine

This book is one steamy story that gets down and dirty as it sets up the plot and introduces us to the characters. It got a little brutal at times, so sensitive readers beware...there are some scenes that could be triggers for some. That notwithstanding, Devlin and Joli’s story is a real heartbreaker, but it’s great to see it all resolved in the end. Recommended highly.

As someone that doesn’t really like MC tales I was happy that this was more of a vampire story then a MC one. It did take me a chapter or two to really understand what was going on but once I did I really enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed this book. I haven't read anything by Elaine Barris before, and even though I had no idea what any of the back story was, it was still a really good read. Plenty of action and the characters were great.

Devlin and Jolie thru hell in this story. A man on a mission to save his mate and a woman brainwashed to fear him. Will he get the help he begs for. Will they get Jolie back and if they do how will things ever be the same again?

My heart went out to Devlin and Jolie. Their relationship goes threw hell and back. I just love all the characters. I couldn't put this book down. I can't wait to read what happens next.

This story ties in perfectly with the rest of the Tulsa Immortals series, starting off during the Decrees, the vampires trials led by Zane Thornton. If you've read other books by Elaine Barris you will be very familiar with Zane but if not this is a nice introduction to him:)

This book is so sad, all the horrible things Jolie went through and then when they finally get her free her mind almost fractures because of the guilt she feels. Devlin loves Jolie so much that he resets her life back to before she met him, he figures it's better to woo her again then fracture her mind.
