Detective Brienne Logan is exhausted following her trip to London. Before she’s had time to take a breath, she learns that her best friend Adam has died. That unexpected news sends her into a state of prolonged shock. She throws herself into work, chasing murderers and tending to menial tasks just to keep her mind off her loss, but that’s not enough to shield her from the reality of the past several weeks.
Mia Matthews’ victims have lived with immense anger and sorrow since Brienne failed to resolve her last case in Woodstock. Their case takes a dramatic turn when Mia is found dead, and Brienne is torn about how she should feel about the situation. Nevertheless, she has a new case on her hands, but as she investigates, she discovers evidence pointing back to her.
With so much to contend with, is Brienne ready to face the fight of her life or will this serial killer case be the one that finally breaks her?
I haven't read anything else by this author and won't. It's very juvenile. Extremely fast read, and the story line was childish. It was like watching a children's cartoon. Very disappointed.
