A chance meeting in a frozen wasteland leads unwilling assassin, Seven, from Siberia to small-town Virginia. A new life in suburbia beckons. All she has to do is keep out of trouble as she tries to mend her broken heart.
Or so she thinks.
When Seven’s world is torn away from her, she's left with no choice but to fight back, and help comes from an unexpected alliance. A deal is struck—If Seven helps Emmy Black to destroy the remaining stocks of a deadly virus, Emmy will assist with Seven’s little problem.
But not only is Seven used to working alone, someone in Blackwood Security is keeping a secret from both of them, one with far-reaching implications.
Will life be the same when the truth comes out? Can Seven regain her old form and survive the operation? And how does disgraced CIA agent Quinn fit into the story?
Ultraviolet is a standalone romantic thriller in the Blackwood Security series - no cliffhanger!
Elise Noble is an English rose with a few thorns who loves chocolate, sleep, and well-defined abs. Not hers, unfortunately. She lives near London with a horse who eats all her money and three dogs who eat everything else.
Elise writes real, gutsy heroines and flawed but swoon-worthy heroes in stories that mix mystery and mayhem, humour and happily-ever-afters.
WOW! This book has it all!!! Action, Romance, and Amazing Plot Twists!
A ruthless Russian General controls Base 13, a maximum-security military compound, out in the middle of nowhere, Siberia. A bright violet eyed, highly trained assassin along with her one huge weakness, her 2-year-old daughter, live in a cage on the base. With a name like Seven of Ten, can she even dream of a semi-normal life outside the compound?
Seven, a hard-as-nails Russian assassin, is being held captive at Base 13 by Russian General Zacharov, who uses her daughter, Tabby, to control her. Seven has had enough. Finally, when a small, nearly impossible window of opportunity presents itself (when a team of weapons inspectors visit the base), Seven attempts to escape with her daughter.
Where will they go? How will they survive outside the compound? Seven's skills have been slipping while in confinement and Tabby's father can't help because he is dead. What should Seven do when she is ordered to assassinate someone who does not deserve to die and the order comes from someone who has a lot of leverage on her? Luckily, Emmy & the Blackwood Security Team offer to help her and she begrudgingly accepts.
Witnessing Seven, a loaner, learn to trust the Blackwood Security Team is heartwarming. Watching them all kick lots of ass is exhilarating. Learning about Seven's (*spoiler*), finding out that Seven's (*spoiler*), and when it is revealed that Seven is (*spoiler*) are awesome, addictive plot twists! This book has it all!!! I could not put it down!
This is my favorite book of my favorite series (so far) as it has tons of action, lots of Emmy, and so many twists and turns you won't see coming! It is a difficult book to write a detailed review for because too many spoilers would be revealed. If you love Emmy, Black, Bradley, Dan, Mack, Jed, Xav, and the rest of the Blackwood Security team, this book will cause you to loose sleep because you won't be able to stop reading it. I'd give Ultraviolet 10 stars if I was able!
IMHO, for maximum enjoyment, this book is best read as the 7th book of the Blackwood Security series; however, it can be read as a standalone and there is no cliffhanger. The Blackwood Security Series is my favorite book series ever! The characters are smart, sassy, and very talented with weapons and intel. The plots are action-packed, exciting, yet plausible and have just enough romance and sex to keep it interesting! :)
This is another great Blackwood Security series read, featuring another of the world's most deadly assassins. Seven has been kept in a Siberian prison cell for the past three years, only released when her jailer needs for her to do a job. And the leverage he uses to bring her back is her two year old daughter, Tabby. Seven has long waited for an opportunity to escape with Tabby, and when a weapons inspection team prepares to departthe base, she takes advantage of the distraction to make her move. What she doesn't know is she's escaped onto the plane transporting a disguised Emmy Black, who has tagged along with the inspection team.
Seven was moved from a Russian orphanage at a young age after killing a man who attempted to assault her. Her new abode was a base in Siberia, where the commander became her trainer. But after years spent carrying out missions for the psychopath, she made the mistake of falling for the copy machine repairman who visited the business where she was working undercover. When she learned she was pregnant, she planned to tell Sam and leave Russia, but her controller beat her to him, and Seven watched as a body bag was removed from his apartment.
Sam Quinn was in the Rangers with Jed and they both accepted jobs with the CIA when they were recruited. But Quinn has been off his game since his assignment to Moscow. The woman he met and fell in love with there broke up with him, just before someone tried to kill him. So when she walks into Blackwood Security headquarters alongside Emmy, Quinn can't believe his eyes, and he's furious. And discovering she is an assassin, not the receptionist he believed her to be, is just icing on the cake.
This book features Seven, Quinn, Emmy and the team. It's another one I couldn't put down.
Once again, once I started reading, I could not put this book down. All of the Blackwood Security series have such an energy about them with the fast pace, action aplenty, colourful characters that you really feel that you know personally, plus the romantic thriller aspect. As always there is that wonderful sprinkling of humour that really i s the cherry on top. This 'installment' in the series was especially interesting as it explores more of Emmy's background and her relationship with Seven (Ana). I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the relationship between Ana and Quinn rekindle and of course the familiarity of the other Blackwood team members. What book isn't complete with a happy ending? You will laugh, you will cry, you will be on the edge if your seat. I highly recommend not only this book but all the Blackwood books by Elise Noble. You will not be disappointed.
Nothing could have prepared me for such a wonderful and badass book,ultraviolet....this book is full of every possible emotion a person can think of....from love to hate... happiness to sadness..... enmity to friendship....pride to guilt....name any emotion and it's there....but that's not all...this book is so action packed and full of adventure that reader won't be able to stop reading till the end....nothing's better than a book that can drown you in its magic and this book just did took me to the depth of its magic....I was overwhelmed...i even cried more times than I can count...I cried out of love,pride,sadness...this will always be one of the best books that I will ever read in my life......
So I've had this book on my tbr list for at least 2 years. I put it off. I don't know why. Especially after reading it and seeing how amazing it is! This book was sooooo good. It introduces you into Ana's back story. I've read about Ana in some of the other books in the series but she was never one of my favorite characters. Mostly because I didn't understand her. After reading this she is one of my favs! You definitely want to read this book! 5// stars. (I'd give it more if I could).
Side note. Bradley has always been my all time favorite characters. In this book as well as copper it hints he has a bf. I'd LOVE to get his backstory! The best part about Elise Nobles books are the character development. You can't help but to fall in love with the characters....or want to kill them!
Ultraviolet by Elise Noble Ultraviolet, the latest romantic thriller book, by Elise Noble, is just packed with intrigue and edge of the seat suspense! Most all of The Blackwood Security team are involved in this adventure, including Black. This story is incredibly exciting, fast paced and had me racing through the pages because of the suspense of it all! If you think that her other books were exciting, and hard to put gown, then this one tops the list. Wow!! Without spoiling the excitement, I can tell you that this story is well worth reading and I just loved it!! I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
1. Quinn was a d!ck and a hypocrite. Even after he found out the real reason that Ana broke off with him, he was a total a$$hole to her. He was angry at her even though she had broken her own heart to keep him safe and he was angry at her because she hadn’t been honest with him about who she was. Naturally, it was ok that he hadn’t been any more honest with her about who he was. And, of course, he was out manwh0reing around while Ana was broken hearted and celibate. 2. What a letdown! Almost the entire book was about the search for Tabby and her reunion with her parents was only the last three pages. To make things worse, there was NO explanation of how she was found.

In Elise new novel "Ultraviolet" you get to meet the new character Seven. The novel is a fast paced thriller with awesome twists and turns. I loved the fact that Seven, the deadly assasinator had a daughter and how Noble portraided the love they shared throughout the novel. While reading the book you only fall in love with Emmy and Seven more and more, how they interact with each other and how they become really good friends. It´s both intruiging, funny, exciting, romantic and sad, in other words it´s got a bit of everything. Can´t wait for more!!
Ultraviolet by Elise Noble I just finished reading UltraViolet, the newest book in the Blackwood Security series. Can the series get any better? The "Blackwood" family continues to grow. I love meeting and learning about the new members. Emmy meets the mysterious Lilith. Ultraviolet takes the reader on a ride of love, loss, intrigue and reconciliation revealing more of Emmy's and Black's personalities. Ultraviolet is fast paced and packed with twists, turns and surprises. "I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this
I've read most of Elise Noble's books and I've enjoyed all of them so far, but this is my favorite one. There's plenty of action with a fair dose of romance. The new character, Seven, has so many different sides to her .. mother, assasin...and this made the story and even better read. For those missing Emmy, don't worry, she's back! We see lots of the old characters again. Thanks Elise for another great book.
I find Ana a very intriguing character. She’s strong, wily and good at heart. In fact, she has some traits in common with Emmy, including a less than stellar upbringing. Heartbreaking, beautiful, and exciting are words I’d use to describe this story.
Possible triggers could include: child abuse, kidnapping, torture, assault, intentional death. But I’m sensitive to some of those, and was okay.
Holy smokes! Elise Noble's Blackwood Security books always delight but this one grabs you from the getgo and takes you on a breathless ride all the way until the end. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time reading Seven's story. The plot twists kept me completely riveted and I enjoyed learning more of Emmy's back story through this book. I can't wait to read more in this series!
Each books in Blackwood series catches your mind and soul little bit more. Ana is the missing pieces to emmy's puzzle. Quinn is melody to Seven's tune.. Tabby is what missing for the complete family. Black is achor to emmy and ana's ship. Blackwood series addiction to my maddness. Thank you Elise..
Prepare for an amazing ride of twists and turns with Elise Noble's latest installment in the Blackwood Security Series. If you enjoy intrigue, strong characters that like to kick butt, and romance this is the book for you. Ms Noble once again delivers an outstanding read that you will not want to put down. Check out the series. You won't be disappointed!
An Assasin with a heart - and the twists that i surely didn't see coming. I love the style of writing , the way the characters are so real. Of course, I love Emmy - and I see her evolving, which is really cool. I've read all the Blackwood novels in this series (in order) and Ultraviolet is just as awesome. Can't wait to read the next one!
I have read 7 book’s consecutively and I’m running out words to praise the writings of this this author. Every book has been unique and has followed seamlessly from the previous book. This book was an edge of the seat ride.
I like everything about the books. I don't like that they are so short. I think Emmy and black should have a baby! Elise, will you think about that. I would recommend it to anyone who likes these types of books. I think this should be a TV series. I would watch!
I loved this story. I highly recommend that if you are going to read the Blackwood Security books, that you read them in order. Ultraviolet introduces us to new characters that continue to build on the Blackwood family. Each book just keeps getting better! Emmy rocks!!
I just love the whole Blackwood Security series. Ultraviolet #7 has lots of twists and turns and you don't want to put it down! I'm not going to give any spoilers but I absolutely loved the story of seven and can't wait for the next book by Elise Noble?
This book has to be one of my favorites. I loved seeing more of Emmy and the gang. I can't wait for more. I would really like to see another novel about Emmy and Black going on a mission though.....hint hint
I love everyone of Elise's books. Suspense. Mystery. Romance. Captivating. Keeps my attention til the end. I'm so glad that I read Pitch Black and all the others since.
Wow...what a book! I was on the edge of my seat all the way thro wondering how it would all play out. The characters interaction and development are awesome. It had some very emotional moments in here too. I need more! Can’t wait for the next book.
This book has me questioning what would happen from the start and kept going all the way through. I don't know how Elise will too this one, but I sure can't wait to see her try!
I love this series. Unfortunately, I binge read it. Ordered it online for my kindle at 0200 am and finished it at 0545. Can't wait to read the next one, but I have to be more organized about when I order it so I'm not a zombie the next day.
I am reading this series and I am so happy that I did! I was captivated by the first! I didn’t know the next would be the same experience! I have loved every one up to now and getting ready for the next! Love the author, so thank you!
Can't wait for the next Elise Noble book. This one kept me on pins and needles the whole time. Great fast paced read with enough action to keep you hooked.
