Broken Pieces #5

Syn's Broken Journey

Rate this book
Syn Nolan - AKA Gorgeous lethal man.

I’m the last hold out. I’ve watched my brother and cousin settle down and start families of their own. That’s not for me. I’ve never been a one woman kind of man and I have no intention of changing my wild ways.

I’m born an bred military. I love two things - my country and family. I’m as loyal as the come, until a wild cat red-head plants her beautiful pouty lips on me. My head is still spinning, but I’m focused on a mission and I can’t let her derail me.

I’m hunting a killer. There is no time for a one night stand.

Journey Valeur - AKA - Wild cat red-head.

Wow, I just saw the most gorgeous lethal man I’ve ever seen. I had to taste him. I knew I’d never see him again, so I boldly kissed his delicious lips.

I didn’t stick around because I’m being hunted, but I couldn’t pass him up. He was definitely a man on a mission, and I’m a woman on the run.

Running is all I’ve ever done. I’ve made one bad decision after another that’s led me to who I am.

I’m a killer, there’s no time to sit still.

Armed with books in the crook of my elbow, I can go anywhere. That’s my philosophy! Better yet, I’ll write the books that will take me on an adventure.

My heroes are a bit broken but will make you swoon. My heroines are their own kick-ass characters armed with humor and a plethora of sarcasm.

If I’m not tucked away in my writing den, with coffee firmly gripped in hand, you can find me with a book propped on my pillow, a pit bull lying across my legs, a Lab on the floor next to me, and two kittens running amuck.

My current adventure has me living in Idaho with my own gray-bearded hero, who’s put up with my shenanigans for over thirty years, and he doesn’t mind all my book boyfriends.
If you love romance, suspense, military men, lots of action and adventure infused with emotion, tear-worthy moments, and laugh-out-loud humor, dive into my books and let the world fall away at your feet.

4 Syn's Journey to love

 photo conan-clap-gif-1414251276_zpsyylarsio.gif

Syn Nolan is the last of his family that is still single. Everyone else is settled down and marriage. I loved Syn in both Steel, and Gray's books and couldn't wait for him to get his HEA too. I really loved Syn and Journey's story but my favorite book is still Kell and Gray! Just sayin' Kell and Gray are hard to beat with their epic love. And can I just say I loved that I got plenty of Kell and Gray in this book. Along with tons of Steel and Ady too. I loved watching Syn fall hard for Journey. He was so sweet, sexy, and I loved that he didn't just jump into bed with her, but he waited until it meant something for both of them. Journey was awesome and kick-ass. I loved how much of a fighter she was. Brave, sassy, with a softer side that Syn slowly brings out of her she was a great heroine.

 photo 17161206_zpsz3flyz18.gif

Syn and Journey were hot as hell together. There was tons of sexual tension and a strong connection between the two. When they do come together fireworks. Syn was so sexy. I loved everything about this book but the bad guy. The villain was kinda cheesy. I kept picturing him rubbing his hands together and laughing menacingly. Other than that though I loved getting to catch up with all the past couples, seeing their families, seeing their love for each other was still going strong. I loved the epilogue. I felt it wrapped up everyone's HEA perfectly and gave me all kinds of warm fuzzies. A very exciting and sweet read. I'm sad to see the end.

So... once again I changed my mind few times during reading book from the series, and knowing things from the previous book.
Syn is full of surprises but is that only a man who can have a one-night stand? He gave me few turns like an upside down turning my thinking about events! I liked him even more in this book!
Journey is a woman that was destroyed in her young adult years and now she's trying to figure out what to do. Great complex character!

Events are sometimes very surprising and that gave me twists of my stomach! Very colorful bunch f events and also other characters were full!
Rest of family was like a thunder to me here! Especially Gray! I loved her even more!

Highly recommended!

Finally Syn's Story....And I wasn't disappointed. Once again Kelly Moore has a way to draw you into the story and not want to let it go, waiting for the finish but once you get there you want more....bittersweet because you get the HEA you were waiting for but still wanting to read more of their HEA after and not wanting their story to end.
What I love most about this Broken Pieces Series is the strong woman that are in each of the books and Journey is no exception, she is beautiful, strong, a fighter, determined and would do anything including sacrificing herself to keep everyone she loves safe. She is no damsel in distress and Syn finally meets his match when they cross paths. From the first moment he spots her, he knows she is different and can't help but be drawn to her and after finding out who she really is and the truth of what had happened to her, he can't help but falling in love with her. Journey is more guarded but even she can't help falling for him as well. Their love is tested more than once but they come out stronger than ever before.
And once again a testament to Kelly Moore's talented writing ability to tell a story had my tears flowing during the heartaches, my fists clenching during the action scenes, laughing during the kidding and bantering, and smiling so hard my cheeks hurt at the ending. A book filled with action, suspense, danger, love, steamy scenes, heartache, and a HEA....what more can you ask for.....KUDOS & CONGRATS to this author for delivering another story worthy of 10+++++ stars.

This is such a good ending of this family’s journey in life and love. Syn Nolan is hired to find the person that killed a high military’s nephew named Axton. Syn finds out it was Journey Valeur who is a beautiful woman that killed him and he is attracted to. After Syn has a chance to talk to Journey and get more information, he finds out what Axton told him is not the truth. Axton is an evil man, but they have to find the proof to convict him of his crimes. The journey they all go on is thrilling, exciting, and dangerous. I never wanted to put the book down. Yet, I didn’t want the story to end either. I loved getting to know this family and all they each went through to find love.

Journey is a very strong willed and independent woman. Her brother Traveler is protective of his sister. Syn has always been a love them and leave them type guy until he meets Journey. Syn and Journey were meant for each other. I strongly encourage you to read the book.

“When this ordeal is over with, you will see yourself through my eyes and you will understand just how beautiful you are”
This quote is the sentence every wounded soul wishes to hear from a loved one. I know every time my husband says something of that nature to me – my cracks feels less horrible, my scars less painful.
Syn & Journey’s story is a tale of overcoming struggles, of love that conquers obstacles, of a world in which is ok to dream of love’ even if you gave too much of yourself to the wrong person.
Just like in the previous installment, this book also have many tears worthy moments’ in the best possible way.
Highly recommended.

The man, the family, the mission the journey and the things he will do for those he loves. Syn is a little rough around the edges, loved by his family and loves in return. A mission will take him through an unexpected place. A love of his own. Get ready to go through emotion after emotion as we follow Syn on his broken journey. The ending of a fantastic series, (I'm not ready 😢) but oh what an ending and so worth the wait. Every page, every word will reach out and pull you in. Journey with Syn and feel a little Synful yourself.

I was given an ARC and here's my honest review.
Wow wow wow!! This book deserves 5 stars!!!!! It is simply perfect! It's the best conclusion the readers of this series could expect!
This story sees the characters we learnt to know throughout the series and focuses on Syn and his new mate Journey. The new adventure of our characters is fast paced, rich of witty banter and unexpected events.
This series ends with this book and I am almost sad because it is one of the best series I read this year. I totally recommend it!

Syn's Broken Journey was a fast-paced, shocking, emotional roller coaster! I've loved this series from the beginning and I'm a bit sad to say goodbye to the Nolan family and friends, but this was a wonderful, action-packed conclusion!
I'm a big fan of Kelly Moore's writing and am always looking forward to what she comes up with next.

Syn’s Broken Journey

I enjoyed the storyline and the drama also the HEA ending.
The characters were interesting but this book didn’t hit my heart and soul like the other four. It is still an amazing story to read.

Syn is a military man. Together with his brother, Steel, and his cousin, Gray, they're a force to be reckoned with. Because of his exceptional skills Syn is asked to go on a mission to find and bring back JV. This person is claimed to be a murderer who lives in a hidden compound. Because of the fact that Syn has to infiltrate the compound and make the people there trust him this is a mission he has to do on his own. Is one Broken Journey all it will take to bring Syn to his knees?

Journey has been running and hiding for a long time. When she was a young and naïve girl she fell for the wrong man. Her mistake cost a lot of people their lives. Journey made sure that the rest of her people had a place to escape to. They dug a tunnel which leads to a hidden compound, where they live in peace. Journey's sister, Venture, has been missing for years now. Journey will do anything in her power to find out if her sister is still alive and bring her back home if she is. The problem is that the man Journey is up against is a powerful and high ranking military man. He'll do anything to make sure the dirt she has on him stays hidden. Will Journey be able to trust again, so that she can find out what happened to Venture?

Syn has always been the playboy of the family. He knows all about unconditional love, but thinks that this will never be in the cards for him. Syn is gorgeous and he loves his family with everything he has. He would literally take a bullet for every single one of them. He's badass and has plenty of muscles, but he can also be very tender and caring. I loved those contrasts within his character. I fell in love with Syn ever since Kelly Moore introduced him. He's someone you'll want to have in your corner when you're ready to go to war. Syn is exceptional and he deserves to find his soul mate.

Journey has been through hell and back. She's consumed with guilt about the loss of so many lives. She blames herself and she's been fighting her way back ever since. Journey pretends to be hard and calculated, but everything she does is aimed at keeping the people in her compound safe. I loved how smart she is and how she is a true force all on her own. Journey has built high walls around her heart and she finds it difficult to let people come close to her. She will sacrifice herself if that means she'll be able to keep others safe though. She loves deeply and I was cheering for her to find what she needs to have closure.

Syn's Broken Journey is a beautiful story about finding true love when you least expect it. I loved Syn's family ever since the first book in the Broken Pieces series. They can be a bit overwhelming and it warmed my heart how they always stand together as a unit. Kelly Moore is a skilled writer and she makes me go through many different emotions while I'm reading her stories. I felt every word of Syn's Broken Journey and I must admit that I had tears in my eyes more than once. I always had a soft spot for Syn, so I couldn't wait to start reading his story. Syn's Broken Journey is the last book in the Broken Pieces series and I'm sad that there won't be new stories about his remarkable family. I'm a big fan of Kelly Moore's writing and I highly recommend all of her books.

What can I say except that Kelly Moore writes books that you never want to end. They are so in depth that you become part of the book, relating to all the characters, feeling their fears, loves, happiness and sadness, their jealousies and the depth of their love for their family and friends.
I somehow missed the story of Grace and Kell getting back together and was delighted to see that they had. It is like coming home to visit Steel's compound. This is the story of Journey and Syn as well as all their family and the journey they make to bring down a military officer who traffics children to New China ( in Mexico?). Their love of each other, of justice, of family all prevails as they fight against evil and suffer as they believe each other has been killed.
I couldn't put this book down and truely do not want to believe this series has ended. Oh well I can go back and read those books that I missed.
This book can be read as a standalone but it makes it easier if you have read the rest of the series first.

How I love Kelly's books! I don't know how she can come up with one great suspenseful, sexy read after another for this military family. Each one has you turning the pages for more, but never wanting the story to end. Syn's the final one of the Nolans to find love. When Syn gets hired for a mission he never thought he would meet Journey. From the moment their paths cross she has him guessing and wanting to learn everything he can about her. Her life has not been an easy one but he plans on changing that. When things start to get dangerous, Syn's military family all jump in to help. This book is an emotional read that has you turning pages to find the answers and happiness each deserve. Syn and Journey's road to love was sweet and super sexy - full with suspense, secrets and surprises. I love this family, this series and am so sad this is the final book!

I absolutely love Syn! He is all sexy hot man, but also courageous and strong willed. On his way to collect the mysterious JV, he has a random encounter with Journey, who has no idea who he is. When secrets are revealed, they are both in grave danger, and Syn's family jumps right in to lend a hand. I love that Kell, Gray, Steel, and others are also part of this story. This is a strong military family who really sticks together through thick and thin. Syn and Journey were amazing together. Their story was so full of dangerous twists and turns, and the devious Axton was definitely a force to be reckoned with. The neo-technology in this story gives the plot an interesting twist as well. I absolutely loved it!

I absolutely loved this emotional book of Syn and Journey. I love how it stays tied to family and the strength of true love. The feelings this book evokes are powerful and I was teary eyed more than once. Kelly Moore has done an amazing job with this book (and the rest of the series), it is beautifully written with characters that squeeze your heart and draw you right in on every page.

It's no secret how much I love this series and this book is no different! We get a whole different look at Syn than what we saw of him in the other books. He isn't just a player, he just needed to find that one girl that made everything in his life change. Journey is that girl and she is strong and tough! The perfect match for Syn. This book is fast paced and full of action, steamy scenes, excitement, and sadness. Kelly Moore covered a wide range of emotion in this book. So much so that I would be angry one minute then completely happy and excited the next. This is the perfect end to this series. Everything is tied up and left me with no questions. This has to be added to your TBR list especially if you loved this whole series like I did.

This is by far the best installment of the "Broken Pieces" series! There is even more suspense in this book than in the previous ones. You are left guessing until the very end of the book. I was left crying with sadness, seething with anger, and jumping for joy while reading Syn's story. One thing that is unique about the characters in Kelly Moore's books is that they all have interesting names, and the meanings behind those names are revealed within the pages of the stories. I'm sad that this is the last book in the series. I loved getting to know each character!

Syn's Broken Journey is GREAT conclusion to this series. I am sad to see it come to an end. You'll want to start with the first book Broken Pieces. I started with the fourth book Pieces of Gray and although I read it, I did feel a little left out or not as connected to the characters. I will definitely be starting this series from the beginning.

I loved Syn and Journey's story. I even got teary eyed. Kelly had the right amount of everything in this book. Action, Love, Intensity, Twist N Turns, Romance, Heartwarming/Heartfelt moments

Syn and Journey were made for each other.

That one moment when the scene unfolds and you feel your heart drop, yeah that happened. Awesome book. Definitely worth reading and losing some sleep over.

So, it’s no secret how much I love Kelly Moore and all of her novels, and Syn’s Broken Journey exceeded all of my expectations! This is book 5 in the Broken Pieces series and focuses on Syn (Jacksyn) as he takes on an unusual mission as requested by a high-ranking General. Unlike Steel and Gray who are have married the loves of their lives and have babies, Syn is still a bachelor who has never been in love. Everything changes while on a train to Utah and Syn spots Journey across the bar. He’s instantly captivated by this woman, which has never happened before. He assumes he’ll never see her again, but soon they are trying to work together to bring down a criminal.

As always I have developed a huge crush on the male character in one of Kelly’s novels. It happens every time, just can’t help it. When I think of Syn, I think of a “manly man,” who is strong, sexy, muscular, fearless, intelligent – just all of it! Besides being a big, sexy tough-guy, Syn also has an enormous heart and does what he can to do right by others, especially those he loves. Syn and his family are extremely close as always and are each willing to do anything to protect each other.

Journey was a little different for me… I had moments where I really felt like I connected with her, then I would change my mind, then I would like her again, and so on. I can’t put my finger on why, but I think her character was so untrusting that it made me reluctant to trust her. Does that make sense? Journey was definitely tough and self-sufficient being the leader of a hidden compound and community, and her soft side was revealed eventually, but I still felt like she had a wall up throughout the novel. Journey’s uncle Noah stole my heart immediately and although her brother Trav went back and forth for awhile, he ended up proving to be a good and trustworthy man.

If you recall my review of the last novel, Pieces of Gray, I fell in love with Kell (now Gray’s husband) and his character was just as incredible in this novel. Without even knowing Journey, Kell trusted Syn and jumped right in to help with Journey and the overall mission, repeatedly putting himself in difficult situations such as cramped quarters, darkness, etc. that reminded him of his time as a POW.

Once again, Kelly Moore has created an action-packed, emotional, and romantic story that is difficult to label as one particular genre. She includes a little of everything in her novels making it appeal to the reader regardless of their normal preference. There’s military stuff, bad guys, weapons, romance, sexy scenes, sweet family scenes, and so on. Kelly’s writing style continues to amaze me with the complexity and pace of the plot and development of characters that makes you feel like you are there and part of their family. I have learned that when I sit down to read one of Kelly’s novels, I won’t do anything else until I’ve finished the entire thing, and I know I will absolutely love it.

Syn’s Broken Journey should be available around April 26th and I cannot recommend it enough, although starting at the beginning of the series will add to the enjoyment and provide more understanding of the characters and their lives.

*Many thanks to Kelly Moore for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

IT DOESNT GET BETTER THEN THIS - Awesome!

The Broken Pieces series has been quite the journey. I love this series and Kelly Moore is an awesome writer. I love the names of her characters and the play on words. I recommend the whole series to anyone who enjoys reading a series and Syn's Broken Journey is the perfect ending and an amazing conclusion. I am sad to see it come to an end. You'll want to start with the first book Broken Pieces. I know I will wait a bit then read the whole series again back to back. This book is has a lot of emotions. It is complicated and compelling, filled with mystery and suspense, action, and an intense love story that will make your heart beat a bit faster, it really doesn't get any better. Syn and Journey are each other's half and they make a whole when they are together. I highly recommend this book, I highly recommend the whole series. This is one not to miss.

Expect the unexpected

Journey wasn't looking for love all she wanted was her sister back home and Axton to pay. When Axton hires Syn to find and bring Journey to him he takes the job seriously. Until he finds out the truth. Then it's a race to save her sister and Journey herself. This book will make you cry and laugh at the same time. This was the first book I read from the series and I want to read them all.

Excellent ending to a series!

Kelly Moore has excelled again with this final book of her Broken Pieces series. She is a fantastic and gifted writer and writes the kind of books I enjoy reading, full of suspense, strong characters, love and happy endings. I plan on reading all the books that Kelly has written and look forward to any new books she writes.
