A funny and bittersweet look at grief, love and families who maybe love each other too much.
Letting go of the past and facing the present and future is harder said than done for Kam Matafeo. Getting over his wife’s death isn’t something on Kam’s list of things to do. But when Grace Jackson, his new Sous Chef walks in, life is turned upside down. And not just for him either. Anne, his mother-in-law, is not open to the idea of anyone new in Kam’s life and will do anything to stop his romance from blooming. But when the ‘Love Witches’ step in to protect him, the battle lines are drawn. Fircrest is in for some fireworks when the fight for Kam’s heart not only affects his family, but his friends’ lives too.
Things get so crazy that Grace has to make the decision to stay and fight for herself and Kam or to give up and let Kam slip back into the darkness.

I’ve been a fan of Kam’s since the beginning, and following his ups and downs throughout this fun series. Things haven't been going well for Kam so I was really looking forward this book and hopefully see him get a HEA.
It was so fun being back in Fircrest again, having this story pick up four years after the last books was nice. It was fun reuniting with favorite characters and seeing what they’ve all been up to.
As I mentioned above, I’m a big fan of Kam’s, it was sad to see a character who is usually so happy and positive who is now so unhappy and not himself. I also liked meeting Grace and how she fit so well into the Fircrest family.
While I enjoyed the story, I wish the main focus of the book had been on Kam and Grace only. I felt at times with the side-stories that they were overshadowing or taking away from Kam and Grace's story. Because of that, I felt their relationship was a little too quick and I didn't feel that strong of a connection.
This is not really a standalone story, at the very least you’d want to read Be Mine and Free Fallin’ before reading this one, but would probably be best to read all the books before this one since so many previous characters play a big role in this one. Lucky, all the books are lots of fun and have swoony romances and set if a charming small town.
Overall, I'm sad to see the Fircrest series come to an end, but I know I'll be reading the books again since I have come to love the characters. Would recommend the series to any one who enjoys contemporary romance.

When it comes to life, you should always follow your heart... that's the motto that Grace Jackson tries to live by and how she found herself in Fircrest, WA as a sous chef for The Iron Skillet. She doesn't know why her heart lead her here but she is excited to find out!
While visiting the girls of Belinda's Bakery, she soon finds herself being tasked as the one to bring the heart of Fircrest back to life. And just who is the heart of Fircrest? Why Kam Matafeo of course! No pressure... right?! ;)
Kam has been dead inside ever since he lost his wife, Bailey, in childbirth. It's been 3 1/2 years and he doesn't see himself moving on anytime soon. That is until, out of nowhere, Grace Jackson appears in his life. She is spunky, happy, sassy, full of life and love. From the first moment he met her, he found himself breathing again, smiling again, and even living again. He never saw her coming, but he is determined to never let her go.
One of the hardest lessons in life is realizing that life isn't always easy and relationships don't always work out how you want them to. They can get messy, ugly and extremely hurtful. But with determination, hard work and love, plus a little help from friends and family, anything is possible. While outside forces and insecurities do their best to tear a few of our beloved couples apart, fate steps in to make sure that, after everything everyone has been through in their lives, they all WILL get their HEA! <3
Holy Hannah! If I only had one word to describe Fircrest in Accidentally in Love it would be... CRAZINESS! This book reached an epic level of crazy. I have two names for you... Anne and Meredith. Need I say more?! Haha. These two went WAY beyond their normal crazy. Thank goodness the rest of the town was able to step in and put them back in their places. Gotta love those Love Witches. ;)
I have to say that while I LOVED seeing all our Fircrest family and what they have been up to over the years, I was a bit sad that we didn't get more of just Grace and Kam. I would have LOVED spending more time with them and little Natano. My heart melted whenever little Nate was around. I am really selfish and wanted more! Haha.
I am so sad to see the Fircrest series come to an end. I wish I could just crawl into these books and live there. They have been some of my favorites over the years and have gotten me through some pretty tough times. They will always be treasured by me. :)
I am SO glad that Ms. Guymon is getting back into the groove of writing again. Oh how I have missed her books.
As a side note... I do not recommend reading this book before you have read the other books in this series. You will definitely feel lost!
And of course I just cannot forget my casting! I am definitely in love with these two! Aren't they perfect?! *dreamy sigh*
Major "Spoiler Alert" if you haven't read the other Fir Crest books....in fact just don't read this book if you haven't read the other Fir Crest books because it's filled with all the characters and their "personalities"...you'd be completely lost. Just READ THEM ALL if you enjoy clean contemporary romance!! You won't be sorry! :)
I have such mixed emotions right now because I hate to see this Fir Crest series end. I have absolutely loved being immersed into their world and have fallen in love with their characters. I've been so anxious to see Kam happy again and I adored Grace's character. I wondered if I would, and give major props to Shannon for figuring out a way to find a character that we could all love and accept after losing Bailey. I loved them together. I was glad the story starts off 3 1/2 years later and it was fun to have all the characters from the previous books intertwined and seeing what they were up to. It was definitely full of drama and a rollercoaster of emotions but I loved the ending and how everything came together. The only thing I wish was that there could have been more focus on Kam and Grace and less focus on previous characters new relationship issues and talk of having to go to counseling etc.... but I don't know how you could have possibly had that, without having the book at least 100 pages longer. :) ....I get why Shannon put it in.....I understand that relationships take work and that many people firmly believe in going to counseling.....I just felt like it detracted from Kam's happily ever after for me. I found myself several times thinking towards the other characters.... "Stop being stupid and grow up so we can get back to Kam's story." See I would be a fantastic counselor. ;). All in all I adored being back in Fir Crest either way and I'm definitely going to re-read this series again and highly recommend it!
Shannon Guymon has done it again. This final book of her Fircrest series is amazing. I love the way the story lines all came together. I really want to live in this town. Kam has always been my favorite character. I cried in Free Fallin' when Bailey died, hoping Kam could find peace and love again. Enter a happy, spunky, forgiving, big hearted ball of fire. Grace Jackson breathes life into a mans broken life and turns the town on its ear. This story brings a smile to your face and sunshine into your life. If you are looking for something you will read over and over again, this book is one you'll want to ad to your collection.
**DO NOT read this book unless you've read the whole series!**
I adore this series and have felt like a resident of Fircrest, WA from the very beginning. I've been with these characters through their ups and downs and feel like they are real and true friends. When I close a book, I often feel like the characters have finally worked through their trials and are on their way to their happily-ever-after, so it was very interesting to get a glimpse of these characters 3+ years later to find that they're not all happy. Don't most people have a roller coaster of a life? I guess book people do too.
This felt like a high school reunion, with so many of my favorite, beloved characters, but there's drama galore. I'm not a fan of real-life drama, so I'm glad it stayed in the book and I liked the way the characters handled it, but I wanted there to be more restitution from a couple of them for events that occurred.
I can't even express how happy I am that Kam finally gets another chance at a happy life because it was torture to see him as a shell of himself. His new Sous Chef, Grace, is a charmer and wins the hearts of pretty much the whole town--with a couple of exceptions. I love how, in spite of her upbringing, Grace is a positive and sweet person, with a very big heart. As for the romance, it's there and there's chemistry, but the main focus isn't on Kam's story and I would have loved to see more of how he fell in love again. You can't have too much romance, can you?
There are a lot of little glimpses into the many characters lives in this series finale. I'm sad to say goodbye to them, but I'm so excited to see what's next.
Thank you Shannon Guymon for one last book! When Bailey died I cried for days! I could never see Kam moving on because the love was so real. But you found a way to give us a glimpse into everyone's lives and end this series on such a high note I could not stop the happy tears this time! Please don't let this be the end for you! You have an amazing gift, it's time to move to Readerville, where three sisters take over a building and bring books back to a town in need! We love you Shannon!
It sure was fun to transport back to Fircrest and visit all the old gang. I think everyone from previous books makes an appearance at some point or another. It was like attending a family reunion- catching up on how everyone is doing, and maybe even a bit of drama. Ok, this was a ton more drama than most family reunions I've ever been to, thank goodness.
It was so good to get Kam's story resolved. It's been a long wait between that last book where he is devastated, and this one where he finally breaks free from the sadness and darkness that encompasses him. I loved the journey back to the light and I especially loved how much his family and friends cared about that transformation.
This book was high on drama- there are some CRAZY women in Fircrest! It is also high on emotion and friendships. I would have loved more focus on just Kam and his story (the lovin' and the kissin'), but involving everyone gave me the feeling of catching up and I guess after a long break from this series, I needed that too.
I'm looking forward to more books from Shannon Guymon. I'm glad she is back writing again!
Three things I loved about this book: 1. Kam got a second chance at happiness. It was hard seeing a character I had loved earlier in the series in so much pain. 2. There were a few other cases where previous characters had marital struggles. Normally I don't seek that out in my quest for happily ever stories. It hurts my heart. I did love how Shannon Guymon handled it though. I think a lot of times we look at romance as the magic of meeting and falling in love. We forget that staying in love takes commitment, effort, and forgiveness. I liked her reminder and her message of hope. 3. I loved Grace: her optimism, her kindness to others, even when they were not kind to her, and her spunkiness. She might have been kind, but she also stood up for herself. I loved watching her win Kam over and make him blush over and over again.
I am sad to see the end of the Fircrest series, but excited to read anything else that Shannon Guymon comes up with next!
Content: clean (some kissing) Series: book 13 in the Fircrest series, it should be read in order, at least read Be Mine, then Free Falling first.
Ah so sad it's over. I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of the books in this series. It was fun to revisit the town of Fircrest and see Kam get a happily ever after. This series is great for those who enjoy clean romance, but don't start here. This is the icing on the cake and shouldn't be read until you have read the other books as all the characters from those other books make an appearance.
*Huge Sigh* So happy I took the morning off and decided to binge read the rest of this book. I was AMAZING!!!! Everything I hoped it to be and more. This Author has poured her heart and soul into this series of Fircrest books. Her love of writing and her love of her fans shows on every. single. page. There is an Authors note at the end of the book where she explains how writing this book was so hard for her. I know for a fact there were so many fans out there (like me!) dying to see an ending, especially for Kam. We all really appreciate the time and effort it took to make this thing happen! Take another deserved break we will be here waiting...
Ok on to my review....
This book is a whole lot of everything...It will have you laughing, crying, shaking your head and cheering! I love how the whole town comes together for each other. I love how all the characters from the 12 other books make an appearance in this one and I loved the story line all around. I just loved everything about it. After losing his wife Kam becomes a shell of who he once was, the heart of the town. Everyone, well almost everyone, wants him to come alive and be happy again. When Grace comes into his life and he starts to come alive there are 2 people in town that want to cause trouble...like I said this book is amazing there are just no words that can really explain how much I loved it. YOU WILL NEED TO READ THE OTHER BOOKS IN THIS SERIES FIRST FOR IT TO MAKE SENSE BUT TRUST ME THAT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT.
I put off reading this story because I wasn't happy with something that happened in a previous book, which is stupid and slightly juvenile, but I was finally convinced to read this book and I'm SO glad that I did. I've always loved Kam and this book is like the culmination of everything I loved about the series. All the characters make an appearance in the story (hello Tate) and honestly Anne and Meredith could have stayed out of it, but I understand why they had to make things so dramatic. I adored Grace. She was everything good and bright in the world, even though her life was difficult and lonely. Seriously though, Kam Matafeo. Aiieeyiaiiyiaii, he's all kinds of Samoan swoony. I've invested like a bajillion hours of my life reading and re-reading this series and this book makes it finally feel complete. A great ending to the first series I ever dowloaded on my kindle. Now if I could just find a Belinda's Bakery and Iron Skillet....
This was a fantastic ending to a series I've loved for years!! The way Shannon Guymon writes has immersed me in her world of Fircrest and made it a place I love to read and visit. I've been so invested in the lives of the characters, I wanted their endings to be perfect.....and yet, Shannon wove a incredible story with beautifully flawed characters and challenges that are overcome and made an ending even better than I could have imagined!! Sure, this might be okay read on its own, but it's even better with the rest of the series to give it a broader context that just isn't possible on its own! Sweet, beautiful read about second chances and love - but not just your typical love story - it's so much more than that!!
I absolutely loved this book! What an awesome finish for the Fircrest series. I reread all of them again this month and loved them more than the first time I read them. Shannon is a fantastic author who makes her readers fall in love with not only her characters, but the town as well. Well done Shannon, can’t wait for the rest of your “Karma” books, loved that one as well.
I was so happy to see this book published! It's been a long time coming, but so worth the wait! I loved reading about all the people familiar to me from previous books in the series. I loved Kam's story and this was such a sweet romance. I loved Grace and how she changed a whole town. I was just sad the story had to end. I LOVED it!
I have been waiting to see if Kam would ever find joy and love again and it finally happened in the best way possible! I love how it's not all sunshine and roses and how Shannon Guymon showed us that life is not a Faerie Tale. It's hard and sometimes ugly but if we communicate and stay positive life is beautiful!!!!
I'm such a huge fan of Fircrest and all those Matafeo family members. This was a perfect ending. I've reread this whole series multiple times and still cry when Bailey dies and Tristan gets found. Loved them all so much.
I love happy endings! I cried my eyes out when Bailey died. I am grateful that Kam found love again. I hope I can be as forgiving as Grace. A wonderful story about love, forgiveness, and fighting to keep marriages intact.
So much forgiveness and love. I may not have read all the other books in the series, but this was amazing. I can't wait to learn the tagging of passages because there were so many positive and emotional passages I want to remember.
