A lovely story of how love and romance can be brought back after many years if only one learns to reach and connect

Alovely heart warming second chance short story. I read this book in about an hour so perfect as a short journey or lunch time read. I sometimes find that some short stories leave you with half a story that never seems to really end but his didn't.

The book is about Eva dobbs what married her high school sweetheart Cooper 25 years ago. They thought their happily ever after would last for ever, however they was mistaken. After so many years of marriage the spark seemed to fade. Eve starts to receive roses from a secret admirer and on the some day Cooper arrives back in town on a business trip after a year of separation and asks if he can stay with her. Feeling that had never quite left start to stir and she realises how lonely the last year had been.

A beautiful story showing that a little bit of romance is what was needed to re-light the spark in their marriage.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic short story.

Eva and Cooper Dobbs have been married twenty-five years and separated for one. Cooper has come to town on business and asks to stay with Eva. At the same time, Eva has begun to get roses and gifts from a secret admirer. Eva doesn’t want a secret admirer; she wants Cooper. What does Cooper want? Is he really just in town for business? If they could just talk to each other (communication has never been one of their strong suits), maybe they could have a second chance.

Any relationship has it's problems. You have to have communication and trust, plus a little romance. Eva has been separated from her husband for a year. Living in separate states and no communication has left her lonely. She still loves Cooper and when the red roses start showing up from a secret admirer, she is perplexed. Cooper shows up in town working on a construction job. He wants to stay with her in their house. Torn, because she still loves him, will her secret admirer change her heart. A very emotional love story.

One Red Rose was a quick read. Easily read in one sitting. It was easy to read and kept my attention. Elizabeth Rose did not disappoint. I have yet to read one of her books I haven't liked. I will definitely continue to read her books. A HEA second chance love.
