Three sports. Three broken brothers. Torn apart by tragedy and forever bound by traumatic pasts. Thrust together once again when their paths cross in Seattle.
MELTING ICE Brimming with attitude and broken beyond repair, Isaac "Ice" Wolfe has a heart as cold as his nickname, and he likes it that way--until he meets his neighbor Avery Maxwell. When Isaac is warned away from Avery, he sees the writing on the wall. It's Avery or his career. To Isaac, a life without hockey wouldn't be a life worth living. But what about a life without Avery?
BLINDSIDED Tanner Wolfe is blindsided--by his dysfunctional family, his plummeting career, and the one thing he least expected--by love. After photos with Emma go viral, Tanner is caught in a lie and tells a bigger one to get out of it. Now he’s shoulder-pads deep in a temporary marriage while struggling to resurrect his disastrous career and reunite his broken family.
BOTTOM OF THE NINTH Zeke Wolfe, the man who’s written off his entire family, rescues a young woman and three children on a stormy Seattle night. Before he knows it, he has an instant family and a fake fiancé he’s certain he doesn’t want.

USA Today bestselling author Jami Davenport writes sexy contemporary, new adult, and sports romances, including Gone Missing, Seattle Sockeyes, and The Scoring Series.
Jami lives on a small farm near Puget Sound with her Army Ranger-turned-plumber husband, a Newfoundland drool monster, and a prince disguised as an orange tabby cat.
Jami worked in IT for years and is also a former high school business teacher but recently achieved a life-long dream of being a full-time author. A horse lover since birth, Jami showed dressage horses for over thirty years. Now she gardens and goes glamping, along with other travelling adventures. She's a lifetime Seahawks and Mariners fan, and has season tickets to the Seattle Kraken hockey team. She still misses her SuperSonics.
An avid boater, Jami has spent countless hours in the San Juan Islands, a common setting in her books. In her opinion, it's the most beautiful place on earth.
What a great way to check out the talented writing of Jami Davenport. The trilogy of the Wolfe brothers gives you a look at three different series. All stories left me wanting to read more.
I have absolutely fallen in love with this series. I started reading Ms. Davenport's books because I love anything and everything hockey. I also lived in Spanaway Wa. a few years back always complaining that there was no hockey out there. I knew how much Seattle loved the Sonics who had moved away years ago.
Back to the books: the main characters, the Wolfe boys, and the women who love them, covers just about everything any reader could want. Tall, built, sexy men with eyes you fall in to. The women are strong, determined become the rock for their men.
The books are about love, hope, faith, abuse, alcoholism, pain and fear. All the characters are shredded and re-built similar to US Marines. They all come back as far better people. Ms. Davenport leaves a few story lines open which leaves, at least me, ready to search for those 2 books.
I would certainly recommend these books to any reader that loves a happy ending after so much heartache at the beginning!
So much pain and hurt in Isaacs past. That he has built giant walls around himself and his heart. Pushing away anyone close to protect them from himself and to protect his heart form more hurt. A horrible upbringing set the stage for a tumultuous relationship with his 3 brothers. Then trachea struck and blew what little was there left. His attitude and antisocial tendencies make him persona non grata on his plenty teams he has been traded from due to his issues. In what seems is his last chance in Seattle he moves in next door to Avery who has a not so stellar history as well. But they have an instant connection something fierce. They combust. But then continue to burn slow and steady in the friendship they build despite being warned off from each other. Loved this story and can’t wait for the next book. And to read about Isaac’s brothers.
Blindsided—>
I liked the book but liked isaacs book better but for different reasons. For most of the book I didn’t like Emma’s wishy washy attitude. I love the concept of her romantic side. saying how she always loved tanner and how she knew he would be special to her. Then just leaves. I get having dreams and following them but she could have gone about it in better ways. I get tanners and his douche ways but he has been hurt really bad in his life by all those who should have been there to protect him. And he seems cocky and confident but it’s all a show. Honestly I wanted a HEA but I think he forgave her and they got back together to fast. Like essentially ends things over the phone in the most nonchalant ways after all the I loved him for years crap and then say she will keep in touch while she ‘figures things out’ then basically drops off the planet for over a month. Idk. Not cool personally. I get he loves her and wants her but like how can you trust that.
Bottom of the 9th—>
I liked the story and was happy to finally have the third Wolfe brother story. But I have to say there were things that did rub me the wrong way for some reason with this story. Paisley annoyed me at times. She was always so unhappy or pissed when zeke wouldn’t open up to her, but she was a Hypocrite because she purposely shit down when he asked about her past as well. Then she would get mad about their fake relationship when yes they both had feelings for one another but honestly zeke was pretty up front about what his team owner and agent did and wanted. He never lied. So honesty she has no right to be mad about the situation. I did love him with the kids. It was adorable. And I was happy when the brother finally resolved things. I had a feeling the reason he was so made was because of sieving something horrific and I was right. Wow. But I’m glad they all came together to weather the storm.

This review is for Melting Ice, first story in trilogy
4⭐️ heart melting, slow smolder hockey romance
I continue in my journey to read the Seattle Seahawks from start to finish. Melting Ice is the third book, seems I have missed book 2.5 where Blake meets a girl. I will have to go back. My copy of melting ice is in the Wolfe brother trilogy, so I get to read about Isaac’s brother’s Tanner (football) and Zeke (baseball), so I will veer slightly off course if I read these two other books next rather than follow the recommended reading order. Will see. I can continue to say Jami writes about characters that I can get. Their real, and could be my friend, family or neighbor.
Overall, the book is a really good read, with the right blend of humor, heart melting scenes and character chemistry that starts off burning up the pages and then goes to slow smolder as the story develops. Jami includes some angst, focused on Isaac’s career, whether he can control his temper, whether his relationship with Avery will get him booted from the team and this didn’t drag the book down, it is perfectly mixed in. The only thing I feel Jami did a disservice too, was Isaac’s mental health. He was a recovering addict but he also suffered depression, was taking medication for it, and it was just a small scene. Now I have to decide to go back to read Blake’s story, forge ahead in the Wolfe brother trilogy or read in the recommended order. So many choices!
Story background
Now, Isaac isn’t anyone’s friend and his anger issues along with not being a team player have gotten him booted from about every NHL team. Except the Sea Hawks seem to really want him. They seemed happy to have him. Avery is the younger sis of Izzy who just fell in love with Coop in the last book. If you read the book, you will recall Avery had just dropped out of pre-med to train horses, her life passion and work with troubled children the the owner of the stables brings in. Jami doesn’t spend too much time going into the sister’s relationship and their dysfunctional family, got that in the last book. She really focus’s on Isaac’s side and how Avery draws him out.
MELTING ICE Issac doesn’t bend and not a team player, on ice or at home. Hockey his first and only love. Avery was welcoming in the new year with a promise to do what she wanted and her dreams. Not what others expected. Horses were her true love, and one day she would have her dream. Thru his dog he finds that they are neighbor. The look shared sizzles, and will it melt the ice. His last chance, and needs to become a team player fast. Interesting story, and about two people giving time to love. BLINDSIDED Emma and Tanner a great love story. Tanner his antic off the ice, gets him a called to clean up his act. Meeting Emma who has a secret to be a recording artist. Marriage would give him the needed edge, that he has settled down. And with his contacts, to get her a career she wanted. They didn’t figure on love happening, a delightful story. BOTTOM OF NINTH. Zeneca and Paisley a rescue turns into an instant family, with Paisley and the three children. She soon found herself as his assistant, the past threatens to destroy what love and family was becoming for them. A good read, of this third worlds brother, All three a good read, of finding love when least expected.
Well what to say? Loved this set of brother books which were full of angst, relationship and family issues. Adored Issac and felt this character was the strongest of the three for me. Enjoyed his journey with Avery and then his struggles with his other siblings and brothers on the ice. Tanner and Emma was the least favourite only because how can a sibling have hookups with someone you know they are crazy about, and oh yes thus us her favourite sibling? Didn’t like that part if it as it was more then once and if w sibling did that to me.....Also Emma loved this guy for so long but also wanted to be a famous singer without going any further than a karaoke night? Tidily wrapped up.Then came Zeke and those kids. Love love loved it. So many secrets finally uncovered and retribution. Yes I do like a bit of payback and karma biting back. Definitely like the style of writing and will be looking for more.
Three book set about the estranged Wolfe brothers, each play a different sport and have childhood abuse issues but have succeeded in their respective sports. MELTING ICE is Isaac "Ice" Wolfe story about Hockey and falling in love with his neighbor Avery Maxwell. This is sweet romance.
BLINDSIDED is Tanner Wolfe's story about football and bringing him closer to his older brother while falling in love with a one night stand, Emma. Another sweet romance.
BOTTOM OF THE NINTH is about the baby brother, Zeke Wolfe who ends up playing baseball in Seattle and meets a young lady and her three children (her deceased sister's kids) who are abandoned on the side of the road (and of course its raining). Cute romance about trying out having an instant family before finally making it possible to be with his actual family which is his brothers who are all living in Seattle together.
A great trilogy. Though these are stand alone stories, the Wolfe brothers’ complicated backstory weaves through each giving the reader 3 views into their shared story.. Isaac, Tanner, and Zeke have experienced what no kids should, each just a little more damaged than the other, culminating an a shocking (but unsurprising if you know about abuse) end to their backstory. Ms. Davenport builds the issue of abuse into the stories, guiding them and teaching the reader without it becoming overbearing. (Having volunteered for an organization that supports abused women and children, I can say the portrayal was accurate, especially the escalation when the women tried to leave.) Though the ending was predictable (What romance novel isn’t?), the final admission took the story up a notch, and brought tears to my eyes.

3 women meet 3 brothers and the women are expected to emotionally regulate them and ultimately heal their trauma. That is the common theme in this trilogy. Hey if that is for you. These books are for you.
I truly thought this book was written by a man while I was reading it. I found it to be male gaze focused. And little bread crumbs of statements like “never cut your hair I like it like that” kind of turned my stomach a bit. Also ***possible spoiler*** having the female give up her dreams and career for a male….. not for me.
The pacing is decent. The tension isn’t overwhelming but it is entertaining. Over all a pass from me.
I really enjoyed reading these books! They left me feeling some kind of way! It's sad to know that abuse happens and that people still deal with it even after they are grown, away from the situation! This book is just a confirmation that even thru the pain and memories of it all, thru Love and support you can get thru it! I think everyone will enjoy reading all three of these books! I will definitely recommend to others!
Isaac, Tanner, Zeke. Hockey, football, and baseball. So hard to choose my favorite of these three stories because they're all just that good. Three brothers with a past they try to forget in their own way. Three women with their own dreams and enough love to help their men tough it out. Lots of swoon, relationship resolutions, and three HEA. Each story can be read by itself, but the trilogy is powerful stuff.
Abuse in any form is not acceptable. The story of Isaac, Tanner, and Zeke was heart wrenching but also realistic. My heart went out to all three of them as well as Paisely and her nieces and nephew. Although all broken, they each found the person to help them through it and helped them realize that love has no prejudice and everyone regardless of their upbringing deserves love too. Wow, just Wow!
The first story was ok , certainly not a new premise but pleasant enough. The problem with a trilogy of brothers is it's the same story just different names! I found this a bit insulting to the reader so book two wasn't read very far. If you like same situation stories, different names? This is for you! Zzzzzz
This was an excellent book to read. Isaac and his brothers were great men they just had so much baggage but each of them found someone who believe in them , who saw under the anger and incredible pain. This was a tough book to read in places as what happens in the book does happen in real life . Well done Jami I will be reading more from this author
I loved the way the characters were developed, and each book of the trilogy led to the next one, ultimately ending the way it should. Would like to continue to follow these three families and how they each deal with what was to come after the revelation about their background. Keep up the good writing!
Melting Ice: Isaac& Avery Blindsided: Tanner & Emma Bottom of the Ninth: Zeneca & Paisley Jami Davenport writes sport stories that readers really care about. It's nice to have happier endings. Happier endings don't mean that everyone is now perfect and life is easy. Hope abounds for all three couples.
Love this author! She puts the real life stuff thatbdoes happen in real life and I think she is bringing awareness about other things about people.
I love that she was able to bring out all my emotions between the the three brothers stories. I loved it. Would recommend this for sports lovers and anyone over 16 of age.
The book is about the Wolfe brothers and the women who found love with them. The first is Issac who finds Avery and she loves him enough to show him how to.love. Then Tanner succumbed to loving Emma. Emma who had loved him for years. Finally Zeke comes to Seatlle and after a lot of loving from Paisley the brothers reunite and begin to be a family.
This was a wonderful box set that was based around three brothers and three sports they end up all playing in Seattle. The have had awful childhoods but the love of 3 women makes all the difference.
I always love reading books in a series together. Much easier to keep up. Love love the Wolfe brothers. Very good reads and absolutely loved Isaac, Tanner and Zeke's love stories. Can't wait for finding out what happens next.
I just finished the Wolfe Brothers Trilogy and I want more! The brothers hate each other from childhood but, playing for different sports teams, all end up in the same town. This is a riveting story of forgiveness and love and I enjoyed every bit of it!
Tragedy and true love battle for the hearts of the three Wolfe brothers. Along with big league dreams, they have a hidden past that just won't let them go. Great writing, sweet stories!
If you want to read a book containing too much angst, rough sex crossing into abuse, and repetition then this book is for you. If not don’t waste your time it was repetitive, angry, juvenile, and required editing. Deleting.
This was a great series of books. All three books were heart wrenching. These brothers were broken until they found their soul mates. Love that they were able to resolve their relationships with each other too.
I loved these stories. I loved the bad -boy/good-girl relationships in each story. I'm glad it was about three brothers who finally realized they needed each other. It was well written. I would recommend this book to my friends and family.
Wow, I am definitely into stubborn men reading, haha. Last few books have been... this is a good series and good to see how love wins out. Each brother struggles with the same abuse as a child and more. These strong women show them they don't have to struggle alone, even though they are all big sports stars.
Jamie really knows how to tell a story.. She took me through every emotion in each book...I laughed, cried, got angry, felt romantic....beautiful story of how love can conquer even the most damaged soul. Thank you Jamie. I will be reading more of the series.
