I suppose there are people who would enjoy this book. I was not one of them. I did like the idea of the food plan because it has a lot of variety. But the whole book seemed impossible to me. It has pictures of thin people who got thinner. As I skimmed through the book I was not inspired, I got more and more depressed. What I don't need is another book feeding into the American mentality that no one is ever thin enough. I have spent most of my life feeling shame about my body, even when I was thin! I would not recommend this book to anyone. I don't believe that people who live their lives always working on the physical are truly healthy or happy.

I marked this book to read 3 years ago and finally got around to it.

The main reason I bought it was I’m an avid NASCAR fan and I always support women in male dominated sports. People like Shawna Robinson, Jenn Jo Cobb and most certainly Danica get a tip of the hat.

Danica is obviously one of those super motivated people. An overachiever of sorts, and this book
is her attempt to get the rest of us into her competitive and healthy mindset for a better you.

That being said, it is clearly geared more towards women and most likely the middle to lower upper class housewife crowd that likes self-help shows like Dr. Phil and Oprah. That’s not a bad thing though, Danica definitely knows her demographic. It’s not exclusive to those people either, it just leans toward their sensibilities.

I think the message, and even the roadmap, is probably a good one. But I just don’t think someone is going to pick it up and have instill a life changing mental, dietary and exercise life-changing routine. Certainly a few will... those people with that killer instinct, like Danica. But I think for the rest of us, this serves as cookbook on steroids.

Again, love Danica. Love everything she stands for. So please support her and others like her. In short go #girlpower !

No warm ups 😑☠ huge no no.
Promotes low carb... which I do not support.
I think her overall mentality & perspective on having a positive mindset was beautiful, but her approach to fitness really rubbed me the wrong way.
All the workouts are cardio based 💩
I have an ACE certification in PT, plus fitness & health has been a huge part of my life for over 10 years now. Yes low carb & high intensity will help you lose weight fast... but not slowing down to focus on muscle contraction can cause long term injuries.
I want to keep ranting... but I'll just leave it at not my cup of tea.

I enjoyed every section of this book. Danica Patrick is very motivational and empowering. The tone was conversational and entertaining to read. My only downside is that the 12 week plan design is a bit confusing and unclear.

Love the layout of the workouts! Illustrations/photos for some moves may be helpful, but the exercises can always be googled.

Whoa way too intense for me. I couldn't even do her pre fitness test. This is for young olympians. I was disappointed it didn't tell a lot about her racing career or how she got to this point. One bonus she just was on the Bear Grylsis show going with him through the Moab dessert. She is one fit individual!!!

I checked this book out from the library and read it cover to cover. I'm still undecided whether I plan to do the 90-day plan but I found some inspirational and helpful information in it.

Notes::
Sad that women think her body type is desirable; she has no body fat and no hips; nothing feminine or pretty about her

This is probably a good book for people to learn the foundational components of health and wellness and even need a sample plan. I was in it for the recipes and I think there were some good ones.
