Cora A Murray is a pen name I devised from the love of two great women, my mother and my oldest sister, who may no longer be with us, but will reside in my heart forever. I'm a mother of two adult sons, my oldest passed away in March (Jonathan July 17, 1983- March 8, 2020) and the grandmother of a handsome grandson and two beautiful granddaughters. I have been married for the past thirty-eight years to the same wonderful man. I've always been an avid reader and with a push from my best friend I decided to start writing. First came shifters, then zombies, and now I'm on to many different topics. Who knows what's next, I have so many worlds left to conquer.
I recieved this book in exchange for an honest review! Beginning again was an amazing book the author did justice for this book!!! A battered women was escaping her husband she changed her name and her best friend helped her escape she meets a real estate but her crazy husband finds her!!! Jaxson falls in love with Breena but is breena too battered too accept his love? And is the X out of the picture? This book is crazy drama and it keeps on your toes you won't put it down!! I loved reading it!!!
Breena and Jaxsons story was quick with a lot of action packed in. Breena’s abusive husband won’t let her go and Jaxson and his family have to suffer the consequences of helping her. There is a lot going on in such a short read, making it hard to put down. I do wish there was a little more build up to the relationship and I think this would have been a great novel instead of a short story.
This is another short read from this author. The last one I read didn't work out too well but I chose to give this author another chance. I loved the plot. This author has a lot of potential when it comes to writing but I wish that it had been more drawn out and detailed with some scenes. The characters were likeable and a solid plot.
I'm giving it 3 stars because I really did like the plot and the characters, the execution of the story could have been better and more planned out. With everything that went on in this story I feel that, had it been expanded, it would have been a perfect book. I am left wondering too many things to give it a higher rating..#2OCCJD
Breena is trying her best to escape an abusive relationship. However, everytime she tries, her husband finds her. And the beatings are worse than ever. No one is safe when they attempt to help her and she has no idea what her life is supposed to be like. Then she meets Jaxson. He and his family want to help, but they are not safe from her husband. Jaxson and his parents want to provide a safe place for her. But Jaxson had been through some things in his past that make it so that everyoneis not sure of her. Will Breena ever be able to get away from get abusive husband? Will she and Jaxson be able to find their happily ever after?
I really enjoyed this book and wish it was more detailed. This book has so much potential, it was fast paced yet had a very solid plot. Breena is looking for a new start and Jaxson is more than willing to help. I love their relationship just needed it to be more drawn out with extra scenes between them. Each characters was relatable and well developed especially Emma and Sal. Even the plot twist towards the end was good. Overall I was really into the plot, it just needed more detail. Looking forward to see this author improve to her full potential
This is another short book from this author. I love her writing but I really wish the books were longer with more detail. I really want to give it 5 stars but I feel there is too much that was left out that could have really made it great.I was really into the characters & I loved the story line and I was really into the book. It just isn't long enough for me. I feel this author has such great potential.
I’ve quickly become a huge fan of Cora Murray and her short stories. Her Dark Brothers Trilogy is a highly recommended must read!!! Beginning Again has an extremely dangerous storyline with fierce violence. May not be suitable for the faint of heart. The plot and characters are wonderful, however I would’ve rather seen this unfold in a more detailed novel.
Breena will take you on a plunge of more than a adventure in this one if she wants to live. I was thinking while reading this it better be deep thanks to everything she is running from. Another door is opened thanks to Jaxson but for how long will be what keeps us on the edge. There does not seem to be anywhere deep enough though because sooner or later paying the piper happens in the form of bad when he catches up with her. Thank goodness she is not alone this time. Good run for what ails ya.
I liked this book. It was a quick read for me. A girl leaves her abusive husband and finds a small town. But as soon as she gets there her husband finds her. Jaxson and his family try to protect her but her husband has a lot of money and refuses to give her up.
Breena getting away from a terrible relationship... She leaves and ends up in a small town for a new life.... Jaxson .. Is a hot real estate agent and help out on his parents farm... Fast paced story.. Written perfectly!! Loved it all! Thanks for letting me read this!!
3.5 stars This book is a super quick read. I liked the idea of the story, but it just failed to deliver. Scenes were rushed and there are so many questions left unanswered, that I wish the author had given us more.
This short story is a super quick read that is full of drama. The idea of story was great and I would love to see this as a full length novel to get some more details in there. But overall it was enjoyable (full of pain for the poor h but I was cheering for her the whole time!).
Beginning Again was a short read that was full of action throughout the story. It had an interesting story and I enjoyed the characters in the story. I would have enjoyed more details within the story but overall it was enjoyable.
I love this book from the very first page it was thrilling and exciting. This story was gripping and showed the strength and courage to love afterward such a traumatic experience. I loved it
Another short read ive read from this author its a story about abuse so it might have some triggers it kept me reading to the end because I needed to know if she gets her happy ending.
This book had all of the action in the first few chapters and after that it just kinda went to an EH for me. I thought that we would see Breena work with Jaxson and they would fall in love, but it didn't quite follow the order that I thought. I thought that it was rushed in the very beginning and then it just leveled off -
Not a must read book or author....also $0.99 is a bit much for the 63 pages that the reader was given...
An amazing story of Breena’s journey through abuse and how she learns to feel and find love again. You keep hoping for Breena and Jaxson, but wondering if her ex-husband will ever leave her alone and let her live her life again. Breena finally gets away from her husband and stops in a small town, where she meets Jaxson and starts to work for him, until her husband finds her. Jaxson asks Breena to follow him and trust him and he will keep her safe. Breena still worries about her ex-husband as he doesn’t ever give up, and just when she is starting to feel and think she can move on with her life he finds her. After a heated kiss Breena realises that she is only ready for friendship, after Jaxson apologies, she decides to be honest, but they are interrupted by her husband’s goons. After returning to the ranch when released from hospital Breena is starting to heal with the help of Jaxson and his family, she can't believe how wonderful Jaxson is with how bad she must look. Again, her ex-husband shows up for her again, after seeing the devastation he leaves she decides to bide her time. After six months, he warns her and shows her what can happen, Breena with the help of her friend retaliates. Breena decides that she wants to see Jaxson and find out if any of the things she was feeling was real now that she is starting to heal from her abuse, and can find love again.
I liked parts of this book but the story was too fast paced for me. Within a few pages the heroine’s abusive husband had found her. Then after being given a safe place to stay behind a gated property, her husbands managed to get her. The hero went on to save her, but how did he know where she was taken?! Once again rescued, she was then taken again but with a horrific aftermath for the family that helped her. Every time she escaped she went back to the place her husband had took her from, putting a family in danger time and time again. I wanted to shout at her constantly. I actually didn’t blame Daniel for hating her.
Beaten and bruised, Breena Reynolds has had enough. Whilst her abusive husband and his latest mistress are away, she packs up and runs. Breena hasn’t even been in a new town a full day before her husband trucks her down. With the help of her new boss Jaxson, Breena tries her best to escape her husband’s clutches and stay safe.
