Wendy Brown was born into a millionaire's house. Her parents own six cars each, she has her own master bedroom-sized bedroom and full bathroom, received a Range Rover for her sixteenth birthday, and has everything money could possibly buy. People flock to her, wanting to be her friend, but she has incredible difficulty weeding out the genuine souls from those that just want a little (big) something that she has in her wallet. She wishes she were poor.
Evelina Zaetzovnika is the daughter of a maid. She and her single mother live in a one-bedroom apartment in the bad part of the city. They take the train to the affluent suburb of Westshore every morning at 6 to clean up after rich people who never learned that value of the dollars that she and her mother protect like gold. Her mother is the only person who will talk to her. And she wishes she were rich.
So what do these girls have in common? They look like twins.
Wendy is bored one afternoon, not having a job to go to or friends to spend time with and jumps from website to website, looking for something to do.
Evelina spends her coveted library time on the internet, looking at the websites and memes so loved by her generation, trying to somehow find a way to fit in.
Both girls stumble upon a doppelgänger-matching website. Both girls enter their information.
And both girls find exactly what they were looking for.
