I demolished this novel from start to finish in two sittings. This is a life changing book, stays with you forever. Emilio Valdez will take you through his soul's journey in such an emotional way that will take over your thoughts and make you rethink your beliefs.

Knjiga poslije koje se zastanemo i osvrnemo se za svim onim lošim što smo pomislili ili uradili. Pa se pokajemo momentalno. U tom pokajanju budi se ideja kako sve promijeniti i kako postati bolji čovjek dok još imamo vremena za to. Knjiga ima i nastavak "Peti život" kojem ću odmah pohrliti.

Nastavke ne volim. Nikad nisu ni u pola dobri kao početna zamisao. U noći kad je pomračenje mjeseca i u knjizi se pominje, kakva slučajnost da je baš noćas čitah.

Although Bendikt surely is among my fav writers, I don´t like his, at least this is my point of view, open disregard toward homosexuality. Again, it does not hinder him from weaving interesting, never boring, inspiring stories and novels. The Fifth Life is yet one of them :)
