Illusions: Perchance to Dream Book Two

Rate this book
“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” -Albert EinsteinThe truth can shatter our illusions, but what is truth? Often times, one person’s truth is another person’s lie.Luella Parker doesn’t know what is real anymore after Fletcher Stevens betrays her trust, and crushes her heart. Arthur Ross is there to help her pick up the pieces, teaching her that each person’s reality is their own, and theirs alone to create. With his help, Luella pursues a dream that can become a concrete actuality – that has nothing to do with her heart. Luella learns to look at her perception of life in a new way, living in the present moment, and she comes to see that there is more to truths than meets the eye.

OMG, just WOW. This book left me speechless. And I thought Book 1 had the WOW factor. Nope this one blew it out of the water.

I thought nothing could match the connection that Fletcher and Luella had but I was wrong. Instead of Luella going back to the way she was... she embraced the new her and took control of her life. Unlike in the first book. And the twist about Arthur was EPIC!! I would love to see the continuation of this series.

Book 2 continues exactly where Book 1 ended.
Luella has grown and developed, and is well on her way to being the confident woman she aspires to be. In this book, Arthur, Fletcher's friend, helps to bolster that confidence and build on it through art, photography and galleries.
Watching how the lives of Fletcher and Arthur intertwine with Luella is fascinating and makes the book so emotional and powerful.
Beautiful writing.

Thumbs up!

This book was not what I was expecting after the first one. This one delved into the deep emotions and let vulnerabilities of and between Arthur, Luella, and Fletcher. It also showed the author's ability to make the characters real through the good and the tough.

To Love!!

How amazingly beautiful this story is! Since the end of PCTD One , I captivated completely by book 2. A true can't put down! Watching how Luella grew into a confident woman from the tender care of 2 different men! The sacrifices all made for the love that they all had and shared! The story turns sad but is truly one of the best HEA I have come across! Thank God no avalanche this time! Truly beautiful Jen!

So this jumps straight in where Luella left of which after that cliff hanger I was so grateful. Just when you think you know where the story is headed, in comes a little twist.
Luella goes through so much, doubting what she has been told and whether to believe it or not. Luella becomes torn with her emotions, trying to work out what it all means.
Luella loses all the confidence about herself that she gained with Fletcher, although she starts to realise that it may have been always there, but Fletcher just brought it out in her. So much that she doesn’t hold back when confronted by Calvin’s wife, when she blames Luella for the beating he received.
With everything going on in her life Luella decides that she need some fun, but didn’t realise that, that fun would turn into feelings that would leave her even more confused, and with mixed emotions on just exactly what she wants, particularly when she’s told the fun will have an expiry date.
Just when you think you know where the story is headed, in comes a little twist. The story had amazing ending with Luella being confident within herself and happy with her decisions. The ending was amazing. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.

Beautiful story with a fantastic message..... I loved this duet.

After reading The Surrender of Luella I wasn't sure as to how I was going to feel about this second book in the series.... was I finally going to find a character that I didn't like because of his actions in the first book lol. I had nothing to worry about though Jen put several brilliant twists in this story that had me torn as to who to love the most out of Arthur or Fletcher!! Luella is a confident woman in this book considering what she has faced. She knows what she wants and goes for it I really loved that about her.
Jen writing is fresh and her characters believable. I have absolutely loved this duet it has been both heartbreaking and inspiring. This book and it's message are going to stay with me for a long time.
