I wanted to read more from this author as I had just read Bad, Bad Girl and loved it. However after the first two pages of this book I put it down & thought what the heck am I reading. I didn't realise it was a futuristic story. I usually give books like this a wide berth. Books and films in this genre have never interested me. Just my own personal choice.
Back to the book. There was no way I was going to give this a dnf until I gave it a good try so I grabbed a coffee and continued reading.
WOW. What a great surprise this book was for me. It's dark, taboo and dirty. It's a quick read that I devoured in one sitting. The futuristic element didn't even bother me which kinda shocked me.
Five futuristic stars for me. It threw me into a genre I didn't think I'd like and shocked the pants off me. I'm gonna be looking to see what else this author has for me:)

Hm. I guess this book was alright... But I'm not sure. Does that make sense? LOL I mean it kept my attention until the end... I just don't think I actually liked it?

His Caged Kitty is a very intense and dark romance read. Its different than what you would expect in a romance story that is out there currently. Its what you would call a “dark erotica” type story and to be honest, it gets hardcore at times so not for faint at heart.
This book tells Maya’s story. Maya is leaving earth and starting fresh on a new planet. She wants to be free but what we want isn’t always what we get. The ship she is on is attacked and she and the girls she is with are “rescued” Erik and his outlaw brothers. This story talks about Maya and how this relationship with Erik progresses. It is hot, intense, and so very kinky. Things occur that wouldn’t normally happen in a relationship so you have to read this story from start to finish before developing any type of opinion. This story is all about control, loss of it and of owning it. There is some serious deep erotica, BDSM and the romance that develops out of it. I did find the story a little slow at first but OMG, once it gets going, it is amazing. If you love dark erotica, you will enjoy this story.

And here we go again and I was so happy for it. First of all because I love this author and second because I know that I will find an intense and sassy story.
Alta Hensley managed to put her writing under my skin and because of that I love her books.
His Caged Kitty was a totally different type of book that I've ever read, it's a dark erotica novel that can't be read for the faint of heart.
This book tells Maya's story. She wants a new life away from earth. She wants to be free but things are not always what we want or desire.
This book is hot in a kinky way. the way the story progressed is intense and dark as hell.
My only advise is to read this book with an open mind and be ready for every single word and scene because you will get insane.

This is a novella by the talented Alta Hensley. It is a book that is not everyones cup of tea, because it is quite dark, involves pet play and that barnscene is not something you will easily forget, but if you love a good and different dark erotica book, then this is the book for you. You will not be disappointed. It left me wanting more.

I didn't really read the description of this book before reading it. I went in expecting something similar to The Traditional Love Series, but found a deliciously dark tale of capture and pet play that went beyond anything I have read before. The world the author created was a truly dark place and she manged to create a truly hopeless situation for the characters. The characters were all very well developed, I loved Maya's internal struggle to submit in such a dark world. The ending came a little too quickly, I'm hoping that means the author plans to continue with another book. Pasco was such an unlikable character in this book, I would love to see him get his own story.

None of the men in this book fundamentally cared about their women. The barn scene alone proves this: Erik punishes Mya for something that was in no way her fault (what she did was an accident) only because he's afraid of the farm owner. He's very weak, sacrifices Mya in order to protect himself, and doesn't fundamentally care at all about her emotional, mental, and physical state. He redeems himself slightly afterwards, but can't make up for his cowardice during that scene.

I'm a believer in YKINMK and this definitely falls in that category. This wasn't what I was expecting at all. Maya agrees to be a pet to leave Earth but doesn't fully realize what that means. She and 2 other women are "rescued" by three brothers who become their new masters. This would be a decent read if the pet play wasn't so extreme. But with that said it just wasn't for me.

The first third or so of this book, I was enjoying. There was an old west stagecoach kidnapping feel going on, and I was into that. But after that, not so much. No fault of the book or the author - the pet/slave trope is just not my thing. And I knew that going in, but still gave it a try.

Future setting romance that leaves you wanting more
This book was awesome. It really makes you think of it being possible that humans have left Earth for another planet cause we have destroyed the Earth. Women as basically pets in this new world and it takes some getting used to to see how the women are treated. However it is very hot once the action takes place. I was left wanting more to the story. The sex was hot as was the spanking scenes but I wanted to see how they continued to grow as a couple and what the winter held. Please write a follow up to this nicely written story.

Aliens were attacking the planet and Maya was sent away to start life with her Master. Three brothers saved Maya and two other ladies from the aliens. Erik decides Maya will be his Kitty aka slave ,but will Maya let Erik or will Maya be to stubborn to submit? Will Erik show kindness to Mya or will he cage his kitty? A very unique short story. This is a pretty dark read, with some very intense and heavy pet play. The scene in the barn is pretty intense and not for the faint of heart. If you are a fan of dark and twisty, you will thoroughly enjoy this book!

His Caged Kitty by Alta Hensley a surprising four star read. This book does contain scenes that may upset some people as it does include some sexual scenes that not ever reader will enjoy, it is only suitable for over 18’s. This is a fairly short read, its also very hard to describe without spoilers. It’s all about choices and control. Maya has a choice to make, life on Earth is no longer tenable so Maya begins a journey. Things don’t go according to plan and she ends up with a man she didn’t expect to be, will he be everything she worries about and will she be able to relinquish control? Or will he surprise her in the end? If you like it on the darker side, you will enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed Erik and Maya's story. It wasn't what I was expecting but, soon was intrigued and feel in love with their story. Steamy, well written, page turner. I love Alta's writing style.

I loved this twisted by unique story! I wasn't sure what I was walking into and was apprehensive after reading the first sentence but I got sucked in within minutes! I've never read Alta Hensley before but I just fell in love with her writing style! It was fresh and anything but boring! I really enjoyed this reality she created. I only wish it was a longer full length novel but the main character was excellent written. I was in awe about what she was going through was was able to identify with her feelings. This story is definitely going to stick with me and I don't think I'll view an anal plug the same way again!
