When she isn't visiting the worlds of immortals, demons, dragons and goblins, Brantwijn fills her time with artistic endeavors: sketching, painting, customizing My Little Ponies and sewing plushies for friends. She can't handle coffee unless there's enough cream and sugar to make it a milkshake, but try and sweeten her tea and she will never forgive you. She moonlights as a futon for four lazy cats, loves tabletop role-play games, and can spend hours watching Futurama, Claymore or Buffy the Vampire Slayer while she writes or draws.
In addition to her novels, Brantwijn has had several stories published in anthologies by Breathless Press, including the 2013 Crimson Anthology and 2014 Ravaged Anthology. She's also had a short story published in the Cleiss Press Big Book of Orgasm and the anthology Coming Together Through The Storm. She hopes to have several more tales to tell as time goes on. She has author pages on GoodReads and Amazon, and loves to see reader comments on her work. Her short stories occasionally pop up at Foreplay and Fangs, her blog at http://brantwijn.blogspot.com.
All I can say is WOW! I absolutely loved this story!! I had the pleasure of reviewing Goblin Fires a couple of years ago, but when Breathless Press closed I did not think I would get the chance to read the rest of this series. I am so happy that the author found a new home for this series and that I got to read Elfin Fires. This book has everything a true romance reader could want, credible, creative world building, scorching hot love scenes, fairy tale romance, monsters, enemies, action, suspense, you name it this book has it. I cannot recommend this series, and in particular this book enough. If you love books that retell mythology, have a happy ending, and did I forget to mention the scorching hot, emotionally fulfilling love scenes, oh, I did not? Good, then if you love these things as I do, then you do not want to miss this book! I for one will most definitely be buying the next one in the series! I've been eagerly waiting for this 2nd book in the Four Courts Chronicles. Full of passionate depth, endless wit and a fluid plot that remains strong through the entirety of the book, Ms. Serrah's newest offering takes us back to the world first introduced in Goblin Fires. Meet Finn. He's a sexy, dashing and devoted Knight to the Monarchies with a dangerous secret. He loves his charges, the changeling princesses of the Springtime Elves in a way far above that of a mere protector. When this love is discovered, he is torn from his ladies and exiled to a place far from their sides but it doesn't take long before he hears that a vicious attack has taken down the courts and those in it. Escaping from his prison, Finn gathers a small posse of his own and heads off to find his princesses and bring them back to where they belong...
With him and no other.
And let none stand in his way because friend or foe, he will vanquish any who think to keep him from his hearts desire.
One constant theme in Ms. Serrah's writing is her ability to take certain sexual concepts and reduce to them to the relatable and believeable. In many worlds, the idea of a polyamorous relationship isn't widely accepted but in this realm, the author shows the absolute acceptance of and involvement in with smooth confidence and guiding hand. She doesn't draw overt attention to is it, it just 'is'. I love that.
I believe that Ms. Serrah continues to grow as a writer and each book shows that growth with shining promise of even better reads to come from her.
Differently endearing, if you're looking for a new series and author to fall in love with...this is the one.
That was one hell of a book, I mean I love paranormal books and this one was way beyond. This is a ménage book but not what ya think. This book is so well written and such a wonderful take on the faerie folk.
This story is told from the Elfin Knight Fin’s point of view as he tells how he fell in love and was separated from his loves Nineva and Nerissa. When their mother the Queen finds out what Finn has done she does the most fowl of things to him. Not only did she exile him to jail she cursed him too. He has to fight to get back to his loves and find a way to protect what is most dear to the three of them. So he turns to the goddess of war who turns out to be his mom. No wonder he is such a strong guy. Now that he has one of his girls he must race to break the curse and save his lady love before it is too late. I so want to read the next book.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too
And now I need to go back and read the first. I love the world that Brantwijn Serrah has created for us, it was magical and the setting and descriptions were perfectly described. It showed great imagination and I felt as though I was there.
There is a bit of a difference with this novel in that the main character is a male with 2 ladies. I was honestly a little skeptical about how I would like that, but I think that the connections and emotions of all of the characters really shined through. I'm the type who reads and connects to the emotions. If you can do that, I think you can connect to any story.
There was action and steaminess both going on throughout this novel. You will be glad you picked it up!
I'm going to jump in with the others who so thoroughly enjoyed this book. I think that it is a great erotic read and an overall great Fantasy world and novel.
Finn, wow, he is hot hot hot! I loved how sweet and protective he was. That really came through the pages for me.
You will be very pleasantly surprised on the deep and intriguing story you get out of it. Ruby and Clyde are both very captivating characters
I liked the way this book was a quick read and really kept me flipping the pages to the very end.
This was a sweet story of love and politics. In a royal court politics generally dictate all that is done on a daily basis and in general who you are allowed to love. Finn and his girls chose to love each other and in doing so upset a delicate balance.
This story had love and action. There is lots of political intrigue that stemmed from a prior story, but it's done in a way where you don't feel like an entire book was rewritten for you to get what was going on. I have not read the first of this series and didn't feel like I missed out on anything for this portion of the story.
I long to know what happens in the court and with this trio of lovers...
