Candy Monster

The Andersons have created a fun book for kids to get them excited about healthier eating habits. It is creative in its approach and colorful in its presentation. Anna Merrill's illustrations help capture the imaginative spirit of children. I love her menacing "Candy Monster"! Enjoyable for kids and helpful for parents in teaching their kids. -David Bowman (Author and Illustrator kids/teens books)

I have read this to my daughter at least 10 times over the last few years -- usually around Halloween. It is cute, quirky and imaginative.
The story is reminiscent of old horrific German cautionary tales which I find charming. My only complaint is the font is too whimsical making it hard to read. However, it is a fun read -- especially when your child (or inner child) is a candy monster.
