Another great ride!!! Pandora finally gets answers to major questions in her life and wow I wasn't quite expecting what she found out... yikes. Now, what to do from here? For now she's safe with a great friend, these days Pandora has more friends than she's had her whole life. Let's hope they can figure out what to do next, how to defeat a sly, slippery, very evil "person". While also avoiding the Titans. I wouldn't want to be Pandora.

So much happened in this book and I don't want to give any of it away. At times things where actually fun for Pandora, others times hell. This book moved along at a great pace, still keeping your attention the whole time. Yup cover to cover. The characters are evolving before my eyes. There's a great new character in this book that looks like she might play a pivotal role in the next book. She definitely helped Pandora in this book. I can't wait for book 3 I need to know what's next, what happens between Pandora and Jax, with the Titans, with evil, her friend and sooo much more. Still loving this series.

Having thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Frost', the first book in this series, I eagerly anticipated the opportunity to read 'Freeze' and I certainly wasn't disappointed! The fast paced series continues and I'm going to try to avoid giving any spoilers away about either book, so please forgive me for being a little vague about events that aren't already revealed in the blurbs for the books!

Pandora has been betrayed again by those who are supposed to love her. She's been captured and locked up, knowing that others are planning for her to die - but she's not ready to die. She's going to use her increasing skills to help her escape . . . . and Sam keeps making mysterious appearances giving her hints, tips and disappearing, leaving her behind. Jax is there, too, wanting to see her and talk to her but she's keeping in the shadows and not letting her see him. How can she escape? Why are they out to kill her? What are they afraid of? Is there anyone she can trust?

The story is a real page turner, with well developed characters and packed with angst, turmoil and dilemmas. The plot is an intriguing mix of paranormal and mythological encounters where the reader is never quite sure who is telling the truth. There are hidden motivations, more betrayals and only Pandora's resilience will help her determine her way forward.  I have no hesitation in highly recommending this series to anyone who enjoys suspense filled adventures with so many twists and turns it is an enthralling read, a brilliant second in a fascinating series and I can't wait for the third story, Fracture, to be available so I can discover just what happens next!!

I requested and was given a copy of this book. I have chosen to read it and this is my honest review after doing so.

Freeze is a very enjoyable second book in the Midnight Ice series. It is action-packed, romantic and well written. It is fast pace and a nice easy read with a story which was a little bit less predictable than Frost.

Pandora feels betrayed and lonely but instead of giving up she fights to discover the truth about herself and is determined not to let anyone influence her or betray her again. I like the new character Naya as I feel that her story is going to be important and that Pandora will need a friend in the next book. Sam is still an enigma even when we learn more about him, but does he really want what is best for Pandora. Jax is guilt ridden and is torn between his heart and what he believes is right.

I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next one Fracture. I would recommend Freeze to fans of the first book Frost.

I loved the first book in the series, Frost, so naturally I loved this one. The story starts up where the last book left off. Its full of action and adventure as Davis takes you on a wild ride. I love the reference to Pandora's box. I've never heard it told in this way. It was unique and AWESOME! Make sure to check out Freeze.

Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

description

Freeze is the second book in the amazing Midnight Ice series. Pandora captured the hearts of readers with her charm and wit in Frost and now she once again entertains to no end in Freeze. The book began with Pandora in the precarious position she was at the end of the first book, a captive of her father and the Titans in their most secure prison. Freeze begins with action and interesting details such as Pandora learning a new ability that is key to her escaping and also more info on the mind boggling connection she has with Sam. Freeze wastes no time and moves forward in a nice pace that keeps the story flowing gracefully. Seeing Jax suffer the consequences of his actions (mostly emotionally) was not fun but it had to happen and I totally get that. I really loved Pandora in this book, She was totally badass and quite insistent on not being a pawn in the games being played. She relied less on the male figures in her life and more on her abilities and capabilities, though she at times needed Sam to guide her a little. In her 'prison', Dory meets a fellow inmate Naya, who is a Necromancer/Werejaguar/Goddess (She's really amazing) who is also instrumental in breaking out. I loved the camaraderie between Naya and Pandora and their adventure getting out of the prison and slipping away from the reach of the Titans was quite intriguing. Both of them learning more about each other was quite enlightening for both the readers and the characters because we all realise some things that we didn't know before. There isn't much romance between Jax and Pandora (all things considered) but between Sam and Pandora!! It was hot like fire. Sam is an enigmatic and magnetic character that you can't help but be intrigued by, Learning the situation between him and Pandora really shed a lot of light on many things. The ending was explosive and perfect, creating a lot of mysteries and situations which I can't wait to find out more about in the next book of the series. The book all in all is a witty tale of action, amazing characters, cool powers, astonishing writing, and a beautiful cover. It was really nice seeing Pandora become more powerful and grow more into the amazing woman she's clearly meant to be. Freeze is a befitting sequel to Frost and I can't wait for more in this series from the amazing Kaitlyn Davis.

P.S: SPOILER!!!!: Kira and Luke show up in the ending and they're so amazingly adorkable!!!!.

P.P.S: The whole mystery between Pandora and Sam is so worth it. It's an amazing brilliant plot I didn't see coming that blew my mind and makes total sense.

Thank you to Kaitlyn Davis for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for review! All opinions are my own.

Freeze is the sequel to Frost which I read earlier this year and you can check out my review for it here if you're interested! Long story short, I really enjoyed it and was left highly anticipating the next book. When I was contacted by Kaitlyn Davis about reading and reviewing Freeze, I couldn't say no! I absolutely flew through this book in record time and was so satisfied with everything that happened and am now really really really dying to read book three, Fracture.

Plot:
Because this is a sequel, I don't want to give too much away about the plot and potentially spoil it for those that haven't read the first book. But Freeze picks up almost exactly where the previous book left off. Pandora has been captured by the Titans and betrayed by the one she thought loved her. The Titans want her dead but she doesn't know why and no one will tell her, but Pandora has a knack for getting out of life or death situations. This book follows Pandora as she breaks out of her jail and tries to find answers to just why everyone seems to want her dead, as well as who the mysterious Sam is.

One of the things I was really hoping for with Freeze was that we would get to read more about the Titans, and that happened! I was so excited to read more about the different types (there are twelve) of Titans, their names, and what they can do. There's a scene where Pandora is wrecking havoc and several different Titans come to calm things down and it was just so cool to read about their powers and how they used them! This definitely made me enjoy the book more, just with that small addition of more Titans powers throughout the book. I also really loved reading about how Pandora's powers evolved as the book progressed. She's such a fantastic character and I really can't wait to see just how much more she's going to grow in the next installment!

Freeze is incredibly fast paced and action packed and I was so drawn into this world that I finished it in about two sittings in one day. Frost did a great job setting up Pandora and her world and Freeze expands on it in such an exciting way. You get more Titans, more Pandora and her powers, more supernatural creatures, and especially more backstory on why the Titans want Pandora dead. Seriously, this book has it all and is easily at the top of my favorites list when it comes to sequels. I loved how the author took the established world and just made it even bigger with the addition of a new character that is both a necromancer and werejaguar and some pretty crazy mythology that explains Pandora's past. The plot moved so quickly but you never felt lost or like you weren't getting the entire story because of how fast things were moving. In fact, the fast pace allows you to just sit down and dive in easily and get more of this heart-pounding sequel that will knock your socks off!

Characters:
Pandora. Was. Amazing. Seriously, she was such a kick-butt character in book one that I couldn't imagine her changing or really able to grow anymore. Boy was I wrong! She experiences so much, from loneliness to heartbreak and betrayal and instead of letting it consume her and just accepting that she's going to die, she does something about it. Pandora takes crap from literally no one and is never shy about telling someone how she feels, whether it's about them or the situation. She's strong and sassy and someone that I have a genuine love for. I love that she makes her own choices and doesn't let others influence her decisions. She's not afraid to fight even if she can barely stand on her feet and never gives up no matter how terrible the circumstances may be. Pandora is a strong character that, while fictional, is a character that I can really see readers looking up to and even being able to relate to on some level. Without a doubt, she is what makes this book so much fun to read. I would definitely go on a snack eating marathon with her!

Another character I really enjoyed was Sam. I can't say much, but boy oh boy is that boy a clever one. I'm so torn about how to feel about him after Pandora finds out some things about him, but I think he's a great character that I really want to find out more about in the next book. His story is an interesting one and I can't wait to see how it all comes together in Fracture.

Writing:
I stated above that this is a book that is incredibly easy to just sit down and fly through. While I do believe that both sassy Pandora and the exhilarating plot are big reasons why I feel that way, I believe the writing is the biggest hype point. Kaitlyn Davis has a very magical way of writing that's so descriptive and elegant that you can't help but fall into the world that she's created. Everything is so well described and you can almost feel like you're in the book, following Pandora on her adventures. From the jail where Pandora is held to the Titan enclave, no setting is lacking in detail. Characters come alive between the pages and you get a true sense of who they are as people, making them feel incredibly real. The way Kaitlyn Davis is able to seamlessly blend the worlds of Midnight Ice and Midnight Fire brings the reader a feeling of completeness, especially for those familiar with the world of Fire. Pandora Scott and her world are the subject, and Kaitlyn Davis is the artist with her ability to paint together this book filled with all of the elements needed to give readers the perfect sequel.

By now I'm sure you've realized that I loved this book. I truly, genuinely loved this book. It made me remember just how much I adored that crazy vampire Pandora (even though she's no longer a vampire in Freeze) and how much fun this world is that she lives in. Freeze has lit a fire in my heart that will continue to burn for a very long time and I highly recommend this book series to anyone looking for a paranormal book that will take you on an adventure you won't soon forget!

I still regret picking the first book in this series to be the book I was gonna annotate for a challenge. I loved the first book a lot already, but I know for sure I would have loved it even more if I'd have read it without interruptions and without focussing on certain mentions and keywords. I was therefore very excited to dive into the second book in the series. Because I was pretty sure we were gonna get answers, loads of answers.

What I really love about all the books by Kaitlyn Davis is that she always focusses on the emotions. The writing is passionate, emotional, personal and really touching. Yes, there are some really beautiful sentences in there and the characters say loads of true and very wonderful things, but it mostly feels real. It feels like the characters allow me to look into their hearts and to feel what they feel. And it's heartbreaking at a lot of times.

I don't want to give anything away in this review. This series IS the kind of series you want to read without having read spoilers. The less spoilers you've read, the more surprising all the reveals are and the more amazing the book becomes. Davis combined some amazing stories in a really wonderful way and my heart broke in so many pieces while reading this story! I'm therefore now both excited AND terrified to continue reading!

And last but not least: I also really love the characters in this story. Davis made villains who also have a lot of good and love in them and heroes who also did some awful things for the greater good. The lines are blurred. All characters have good and bad in them, are capable of being heroes and villains. And most of all: All those characters are beautifully human. I can't wait to see how the story will continue and what solution will be found!

Light vs Shadows

What a winding, wounding but ultimately winning journey Pandora goes on in Freeze, the second book in the Midnight Ice series by Kaitlyn Davis.

Pandora is truly seeking the truth underlying her life, and why her family, The Titans, are so bound to kill her. She doesn't understand why her closest friend, Jax, would abandon her to join the Titans.

Convinced that she somehow carries the answers, Pandora seeks out the best medium she knows of. Nava, half woman, half jaguar, travels back with Pandora to the Titans enclave hoping for answers along the way.

Pandora's journey is full of Light and Shadows, both pulling at her seductively. As her memories begin to return, she is forced to face the realities of the people she has chosen to cling to and must make a decision to move forward.

I can't wait to see how Kaitlyn Davis resolves her version of the story of Pandora's Box in the last book of the series, Fractured. I hope you'll join me in finding out what happens.

Title: Freeze
Author: Kaitlyn Davis
Genre: New Adult, Paranormal
Format: Ebook - ARC
Pages: 280
Rating: 4
Heat: 3

Thoughts: This picked up right where book one left off, which is awesome! Now, there’s a ton of information that we get, granted it close to the end, but it makes more sense now. I do hope we find out why it is that this time she doesn’t have a choice (sorry, that’s all I’m giving you lol). I kinda hope she doesn’t end up with Jax, he’s somewhat of a coward, but maybe that will change in the next book. I like the Pandora/Persephone mix (another little hint for ya) and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

Rating: 4.25/5 Penguins
Quick Reasons: YAYAYAY I've returned to this awesome world and these entertaining characters!; I'm not sure how I feel about all the secrecy surrounding Pandora; Sam is a complex, secretive character...but somehow I found myself really loving him; fast-paced, satisfying journey; I can't wait to see what happens next

Huge thanks to Kaitlyn Davis for sending me a free digital galley of this title in exchange for an honest review! This in no way altered my read of or opinions on this book.

That's the dark side of loving someone with your whole heart, she thought sadly, you end up knowing exactly how to destroy them.

I really adore the world that Kaitlyn Davis has crafted so far in this series! The magic makes sense and is fitting. Kaitlyn Davis has put a lot of thought and care into making this world enthralling and believable; each time I step into her pages, I feel like I learn just a little more about the characters and their callings...and step just that much farther into Kaitlyn Davis's mind. The scenery is brilliantly imagined, I could "see" everything that was occurring and every place our characters transported us to, and THE GROWTH JOURNEY! I swear, every time I think I know everything I possibly could about Pandora, something else slips from the shadows and presents itself, and I have to reconsider.

And these characters--oh, my penguins! They don't give up their secrets easily, let me tell you--in fact, they hold on ever and ever tighter the closer to the ending we get! Which is both a beautiful and frustrating thing, because as the pieces fell away, more pieces were rooted in cement. Kaitlyn Davis knows how to weave an intriguing, entertaining story while still maintaining an air of mystery and suspense. (Now, mind you, I am doing my absolute very best to impart how much I adore this world without ACTUALLY giving away any major spoilers, because I'm just that awesome. And I loathe spoilers as much as the next pebble collecting penguin, so there's that too.)

"I've found in my line of work that darkness isn't evil. Quite the contrary--it can be an escape, a relief, a paradise to many," Naya began, words strangely echoing what Sam had told her the day before. "It's only when it leaks into your heart, when it stains your soul, that it becomes a problem, a trap, a curse."

Also, if the above isn't enough to tempt you to dipping your toes in these rippling waters... the plot is fast-paced, and the action is FULL of suspense, complexity, and mystery. While these characters are on a journey to finding (or, in some instances, rediscovering) themselves, readers are ALSO on a journey--filled with snark, magic, and the fantastical.

I had such an awesome time returning to Kaitlyn Davis's world of monsters and mayhem, and cannot WAIT to see where the journey takes us next! I definitely recommend this to lovers of redemption journeys, snarky personalities, and super complex back stories. Break the chains binding you, Penguins; the fun is only just beginning!

Book 2 picks up right after book 1 ends, with Pandora being betrayed by the boy she loved, ending with her locked up in the most secure of Titan prisons. She has no idea what they intend to do to her, who she can trust, or really what she is. But instead of rolling over so the Titans can use her, she is going to use any skill she can to get herself out of the prison, because freedom is the most important thing to fight for.

Just a warning, this is not a standalone book, but the second in a series with an ongoing plot so I highly recommend they be read in order. Maybe it is because I am already familiar with the world or the characters, but I was instantly sucked into the story. Book one was interesting and I wanted to know more, but this book I did not put down until I was finished. They say that the second book in a series never lives up to book 1, but this one blew book one away. The plot was full of action, supernatural intrigue and some big bombshells of truth I never saw coming.

Pandora is the main character and this series is about her struggles, her self-discover, her prophecy, but there are so many other complicated side characters that helped to create this world. I love Sam, regardless of who or what he is, his sadness and love bleed through the pages and I can see that he wants Pandora to succeed and to be all that she can (even if that means darkness and scary... maybe I should rethink my Sam love, hmm). I just wanted them to have a moment (1000 years in the making) but I think that is just a wish that may never be, and probably shouldn't be honestly (I want to say more but I will resist for fear of spoilers!). Jax makes me angry, and I hate characters who do the wrong thing because of orders- and sure redemption may be possible, but I will never really be able to love him (but I guess we will see if Pandora can...). I thought Naya was a really interesting character with some very serious mad skills so I would love to see more/learn more about her, maybe even get a spin off (hint, hint...)

This was a great follow up that ended with so many more questions that I need answers to, and the world building is much more complicated now. It was also nice seeing some characters from book one again, which reinforces that I need to read the Midnight Fire series so I can get some backstory on Kira and Luke. Overall I found this book to be a very quick engaging read and I can't wait to see how Pandora will cope with her choices and what will happen next.

Ok, this was amazing! And I wish I could just leave my review at that, because there so many things to talk about when it comes to Book #2 of the “Midnight Ice” series. Let me start by mentioning that I gave “Frost” 4 stars, but “Freeze” cannot be less that a 5 stars book, at least in my opinion.

The story begins where Book 1 ended, with Pandora imprisoned by the very people that raised her and that she was trying to hide from. Most of the plot focuses on her attempts to escape and to find out the reason why she is a danger to everybody.

I love Pandora! The author has preserved her main attributes from “Frost” and added much more. I mean, if in other series we can feel a change in the main character’s personality, here we can really see Pandora evolve. She is the same confident woman, with her need to “asses” her surroundings before taking a definite action. But she has learned from her mistakes. She is not that willing to trust someone again, but at the same time understands the need to rely on others. While trying to escape, she will discover new abilities that come in handy – and that’s awesome!

From the romance perspective, we have a turn that I must admit I was expecting. “Frost” ended with a “What?! How? Why does it have to end like that?” from me! I could not wait to see what’s behind Sam and that is his connection to Pandora. It was worth the wait (though it was not that long for me)! Their relationship is explosive, Sam is patient and gives her time to accommodate with the world and the truths he will unravel. We do see as well the regret and the pain Jax goes through. Half way through the book I thought I knew who the good guys were, but there it goes, spinning me around again!

Some other things to mention: the addition of a new character – Naya (necromancer and goddess!!!) was a breath of fresh air. It adds a lot to the story! Oh, and the writing…. It was amazing as well. The feeling is there, the reader can feel the passion Kaitlyn has put in writing it!

Fabulous! This was a fabulous read, with amazing characters and an amazing turn in the story. Now I’m not sure I want to read the next book because I do not want it to end (but I will read it, because… I love it and I cannot NOT read it!). There are books you really like and books you miss when the story is over. This one falls on the latter category. Enjoy 

Shocking revelations and uncovered secrets. Pandora's hunger for answers finally bring some...only to raise more questions.
Pandora is again in jail, betrayed by her beloved Jax, waiting for death, because she knows she will be killed within days, and by her own father, nonetheless. But she is a fighter, restlessly searching for an escape route. Sam's whispers and encouragement are very helpful, and forging an alliance with the prisoner in the nearby cell, Naya, the two young women pull out a successfull prison break. Now, hunting her answer, Pandora won't stop before she understands why she is the prey, the abandoned child, the feared misfit, and Naya's unique abilities rpove very helpful. However, her discoveries bring only more nightmares and more insecurity.. which leads Pandora to the places and persons she tried to avoid.
Very imaginative fantasy tale full of powerful, breathtaking magic and the dangers such powers come with. Darkness and light blend into shadows, and the clear, efined lines between good and evil are being erased, pointing at the complexity of the supernatural world. Deceiving and enchanting, betrayal lurks just beyond the surface, coming from basically every direction possible.
Except for Naya. For the first time, Pandora has a real friend with enough courage to not back away from her even in mortal danger, willing to offer everything she got just to help her get her answers. Naya is one of the most interesting characters in this series, with her unique combination of abilities and lovely personality, devoted to those she loves beyond reason. She and Pandora formed an awesome duo, and I hope she would reappear in the next book.
And, I am so glad for Jax finally growing up and showing what he got. There is a long way in front of him, but the crucial first step was made, and I believe in him to continue fixing his past mistakes. Both he and Pandora were forced to mature quickly, thrown into a dangerous world full of deadly secrets and even deadlier powers, battling the supernatural evil on a daily basis, only from a different position. Nevertheless, their mutual relationship is not lost forever, and when there is hope, there is a way to repair what was harmed. Slowly, but steady one.
I am looking forward to the next book in this fast-paced and emotion-packed series.

Freeze starts off with Pandora being back in prison and she was put there by her father and some of the people she trusted the most. But Pandora has a plan; she will escape her prison and make the ones responsible pay. With the help of the mysterious Sam she will walk right through the glass wall of her prison.

Pandora has no idea who or what she is and she wants answers but no one seems willing to give her the answers she needs. Sam keeps telling her she is not asking the right question. What is up with that? Not asking the right questions? Come on she is asking the questions she wants answers for.

In her little prison Pandora meets a new friend; Naya, a Werejaguar/Goddess/Necromancer. Pandora and Naya escape and Naya has promised to help Pandora find the answers she is looking for. Pandora and Naya have quiet the journey on their quest to finding the answers Pandora seeks. They get to know each other pretty well on their journey but there is still so much more to know and I can’t wait to learn more about Naya and who she is exactly and who is her brother?

Kaitlyn knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat just giving you enough info at one time to keep you turning the pages. As I read in one review these characters like to hang on to their secrets and giving you no more than you ask. As Sam says you have to ask the right question. I read Freeze in practically one setting because I couldn’t stop turning those pages I just had to know what Pandora was going to do next and where she was going. I can’t wait to read the next book Fracture to see where Pandora’s journey takes us next.

I would recommend Freeze to anyone who loves a great adventure with a little magic on the side. Come Join Pandora and Naya on their quest to finding the answers she needs.

I received a free copy of this book and the first book in the series through NetGalley, but that has not affected my review.

It's hard to review these separately, so I'll review book 1 and 2 in the series here. As book 2 starts directly where book 1 leaves off, it seems like they may have been written originally as a single book and divided later.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read, though perhaps not my favorite urban fantasy series I've ever read. The mixture of mythology and vampiric lore was interesting and well done. I liked the conceit of Pandora using her powers for good and a little bit for personal gain.

My biggest complaint was that I came to this series for the vampire/Titan thief storyline and that really only lasted maybe a third of the first book. Now we are more into a saving Pandora story, but there wasn't enough time for me to get to know her and like her so the stakes seem low. I might have liked one book just of her life before she's found by the Titans to really fall for the character before we got into this larger storyline.

In fact, that's what this book is missing for me -- high stakes. She misses her friend, no big deal, he finds her immediately. She hates being a vampire, no big deal, there's a cure. She's trapped, no big deal, she can walk through walls. There's a love triangle, but with a pretty clear winner. I want to care a bit more than I do at this point.

All that being said, these are enjoyable reads with a lot of action and despite feeling low stakes, I care enough to keep reading. I don't feel compelled to pick it up immediately but will likely keep it on my list for when I want to revisit the characters.

Wow! This book really blew me away! Who knew a second installment in a series could grab me as much (if not more) than the original book?

We join Pandora already locked up tight in Titan jail. She’s been betrayed by the one guy she thought she could trust (and love) and she’s also slated to be executed pretty soon. Too bad for them, she’s got some pretty crazy tricks up her sleeve. As usual, the thing that makes her so very different from all the titans is exactly what will help her get away from them.

Speaking of Pandora’s shadows, there’s still the mysterious, sexy stranger who drops hints and clues about their history without really giving her too much to go on. I was completely torn between Team Jax and Team Sam throughout this book. Pandora is definitely not hurting for attractive men trying to help her. In Jax’s case, he’s hunting for redemption. In Sam’s case, he’s trying to get her far away from the titans. This book is filled with tough choices.

Along with the general plan to escape her prison, Pandora can’t help but want to know exactly why she is dangerous enough to murder. She seems like a generally average titan (minus the shadows) who hasn’t done anything so wrong as to warrant a death sentence, so there’s clearly more that she’s missing. Don’t worry! We get all these answers and more in a fabulous ending that left me dying for even more of this world. If you read the first book in this series, this is a must read continuation of this truly wonderful world. I’m desperate to know what happens next for Pandora!

I am reviewing Freeze by Kaitlyn Davis for a blog tour. Freeze begins where Frost left off. Pandora is imprisoned in a cell and Sam visits often. He teaches her to transport, and that along with her power to hide in the shadows and become invisible, helps her escape with another prisoner, Naya. Naya is a werejaguar and a necromancer. Pandora and Naya help each other through escapes and attacks. They also become friends and share their secrets with each other. Naya wants to save her brother who has been turned into a vampire while Pandora wants to speak to her mother that is no longer alive. This is how Pandora plans to find out the mysteries of her past. Pandora isn't sure about Sam or Jax , the two men she cares for, and she doesn't fully trust either of them. Pandora's life continues to become more complicated and confusing. When she finally speaks to her mother, she's given advice and more vague warnings about her future and the people she knows. The story continues in the third book, Fractured. The complex characters and situations keep the mysteries strong and the story interesting. 5 stars for a intriguing supernatural read!

Beautiful, deadly beautiful.

Picking up where the first book left off, we are once again tossed into this dangerous world of magic, betrayal and mystery.

I was hooked on this as much as the last and this book has topped it by miles. This rich luscious story has made a home hole in my heart and I need more!

The ending.... my heart I just can't..... just... I need to breath.

There's so much I want to say, but I find it hard to really review second books as it will spoil the first. So take my high recommendation that you need to read this series! Oh and that plot bomb! Holy hell I was not expecting that! This book will tare your heart to pieces, put it back and then rip it out again.

I'm so conflicted with who I want to ship, never have I been so involved in a love triangle before. This isn't like anything you will ever experience.

Believe me when I say this book will pretty much rewrite your emotions. This gem will burrow into your soul and have you craving so much more then you would have ever imagined.

Happy Reading

Pandora is in a supernatural jail, waiting for death but still having no idea why all her captors want her dead. Sam, the mysterious guy in the shadows who follows her around and claims to have loved her for a thousand years, teaches her how to expand her powers and helps her escape, along with another prisoner who is a medium. The medium is Pandora's key to finally learning who and what she is but the answers might not be the ones she was hoping for.

I got hooked on this series after the first book, but I admit I was much more satisfied with the way this one ended versus the first one. True, the story is definitely not over but at least we aren't left with a bunch of annoyingly unanswered questions. I like that Pandora is finally facing things instead of running, sort of growing up instead of acting like a scared teenager, and with the two love interests I'm curious to see which one she finally ends up with. Both kind of seem like jerks so maybe it'll be neither. I guess I'll have to keep reading to find out!

Wow. This was great, this series is a lot better than I expected it to be. So far at least. The characters are great and the plot twists are very surprising. I honestly didn't see it coming.
I love the fact that they involve a lot of different myths and legends. Which I think is also the reason why their plot twist were so unexpected. Because you never know which mythological being they're going to use to explain what's going on.
The love triangle was also different than what I've seen in other books, it was a pleasant surprise. Usually its all just boy drama and jealousy issues but this series uses it in a completely different way. I really appreciate the thought it took to create this dynamic.
I am definitely going to continue on reading this series and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in supernatural books. Oh and there's also a ton of action, it never gets boring.
Happy reads everyone!

Pandora lives with a father she knew did not love her until she was 15 yrs old. Her mother died of suicide and she was left basically alone except for her best friend and young love, Jax. She has felt isolated in her community of Titan warriors as her ability to disappear into the shadows as did not fall into the categories and made her different. When she felt her betrayed her, she ran away and became a vampire. She learned to be self-sufficient and independent. Jax tracks her down 4 years later and she feels she is betrayed again. Midnight Fire and Ice weaves the story of Pandora, her abilities, her past and her future. She is a heroine with flaws and hopes. The reader wants Pandora to overcome and find peace in this series. I read 1 and 2 in an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wow this one didn't stop. It was either fast paced action or revelations, some were plain awful & others heartbreaking!!

So our sassy heroine is back to being a Titan with an odd power. They've trapped & locked her up but we all know that Pandora doesn't like being caged 😉 She makes a friend, Naya, whilst in Prison. They plan to escape together.

This book is mostly about Pandora learning about her power & who she is, Sam's identity is revealed too. Finally, why the Titans, her Dad & Jax included, want her dead!!! It's edge of the seat & heart stopping stuff 😢

I'm off to download & read book 3, Fracture, because let's face it ... We HAVE to know what the heck happens next!!!

This is the 2nd book to the series and it picks up where the 1st book ended. Pandora is betrayed by Jax and she is captured by the Titans, the Titans have magical powers but their not all the same, she ends up in prison and she doesn’t know what she’s done to deserve to go there. Pandora’s powers have increased so now she kicks ultra ass and she won’t take being locked up in a cell. But Jax I still want to severely kick his ass what a bleeping creep, I honestly don’t know how Pandora didn’t see this coming with Jax well she did but it was too late. This book is even better than the 1st book and that was great. I can’t wait for book 3 and I know it’s going to be even more exciting. I loved everything about this book and I highly recommend it.

Another awesome story with intrigue, betrayal, returning memories and hope. Pandora is imprisoned in the Titan’s escape proof enclosure. She learns more about manipulating the shadows but is only slowly regaining some of her memories. Jax feels guilty about his part in her capture and Sam tempts her more and more. Pandora has to make a decision when she discovers Sam’s true identity. Pandora is a strong woman who doesn’t bend to the will of others. I was impressed with the depth of plot in this story and I look forward to reading the next book to find out where the author takes us from here.
I received a free review copy of this book and have voluntarily given an honest review.

After 4 years of useless running Pandora is again in the control of the Titans, locked away in a cell in a secret prison. Knowing better, she had taken a chance at getting a normal life, but her childhood love again betrayed her. Even the Conduits couldn’t help her, but maybe the mysterious Sam can, if she can find a way to trust again.

I’m glad Dory found a very useful new friend that are very good together.

Footnote: 1) I read this series in an all-in-one eBook, and I barely noticed the switch from the previous book to this it was so flawless.

Fave scenes: Dory destroying the control room and jumping into the helicopter.

As good as the first book and getting more answers. Pandora is such a fun character to read about and this book kept me as entertained as the first. We learn more about Sam and lots more about Pandora. Secondary characters still well done and very likeable. More action and mystery and suspense that leave me wanting more. Jax is still a character that I haven't quiet made up my mind about but I hope he comes through during the next book. Loved it!

This book is as good as book one. Pandora escapes her prison and looks for answers. The answers she finds aren't what she expected, but at least now she knows what she is. Pandora is as stubborn and as spunky as she ever was with compassion that is very deep. I like how she lays it out for Jackson. I suspected what Sam was, but didn't imagine that scenario. Looking forward to Book Three.

The story of Sam and the paradox of Jax’s love for and betrayal of Pandora. She is driven to find out her father’s motivation for imprisoning her, and why he still wants to kill her. Visions, dreams, or memories? The nightmares don't stop. She must escape, but she doesn’t know where to. In the end, all she has left is hope. Enthralling.
