The DILF by London Hale was a hot and steamy read and I loved it! I loved watching Brandon fight the "inappropriate" feelings he had towards Genesis/ Gen. It's such a no no to lust after your daughter's best friend but when your day and night is taken over with thoughts about this smart, sassy and hot as sin girl then what's a man to do. lol Genesis wasn't shy about making her feelings known, Brandon wasn't the only one who was finding it harder and harder to ignore this strong attraction. And once they gave into their feelings? DAMN these two were hot!
The DILF isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea and that's OK, we all have different reading tastes. BUT if your in the mood for a little dirty, taboo and hot read then you'll love The DILF by London Hale.
The DILF is the second installment in the Temperance Falls series and I think this may be my favorite book so far of the two. Brandon and Genesis's chemistry is just OFF THE CHARTS! The sexual tension was killing me. I freakin' loved Gen and her "no bullshit" attitude. The girl knows what she wants and goes after it and I admire her for that. Brandon is a lowkey softie even though he was trying to act all alpha-male like. Seriously, if you love forbidden romance, this series is for you!
I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment in this series and for more sexy times!

After I finished London Hale's Debut, Daddy's Best Friend, I couldn't wait to get my hands on The DILF. I mean, if you're going to go down the path of forbidden romance, you might as well follow up a novella about lusting after your dad's best friend with one about your best friend lusting after your dad, right?
Just like Daddy's Best Friend, The DILF was super sexy. It was also straight-up addictive. I couldn't get enough of Brandon and Genesis and their wicked hot chemistry. Things definitely sizzled between them before they gave in to their desire for each other, and once they did? Hot, filthy fun ensued. Between the possession and the dirty talking, I was totally hooked. I also loved that Genesis was the one who pushed him over the edge and into action. Way to go, girl!
As much as I love my sweet and swoony romance, I do love the little bite-sized bit of dirty and hot romance London Hale is bringing with the Temperance Falls series, too. I'll definitely be reading the third book very soon. Single dad and his nanny? Hell yes. Sign me up.

FAVORITE QUOTES
Her hips jerked, then she stilled, breaths still heavy, body on edge. I wanted to push her over that. To watch her become nothing more than sensation and reaction. I wanted to make her scream.
"You're the only one, Genesis. The only person who's ever gotten this close. You've become my greatest need."
My first time reading this author. The writing was .pretty good. Flowed well. I love taboo subjects. I didn't feel the connection between Hero and Heroine. It felt more like lust than love.
If you're a fan of Alexa Riley books, you'll like this one.
Sometimes you just need reads like this! Fun, sexy, hot (HAWT) and quick. This was steamy and full of chemistry. I am looking forward to reading more from these authors!
For the first time in 20 years, Brandon finds himself completely captivated with a woman. So what's holding him back from making Genesis his? Oh, just the fact that she's his daughter's best friend. And only 18. I love the older man/younger woman romance, and I liked this story; it was just a little formulaic and a lot predictable. The thing with Brandon's boss: the man was such a jerk and took such advantage of Brandon - or rather, Brandon allowed it to happen - that I would have loved a big scene between them. One where Brandon tells the man to shove it, demands a high value for his shares, and rubs his sexy relationship with Genesis in the old curmudgeon's face. Also, what up with Genesis' mother? As far as the reader knows, the woman has no idea the man she trusted to look after her daughter has far surpassed just looking. That whole plot point was just dropped and forgotten. The love between Brandon and Genesis was sweet and the sex scenes were nice.
Well, well, well... the dirt just gets dirtier. LOL
Genesis, covering up for Evie during her graduation party, ended up bringing her closer to Brandon, Evie’s dad. And hottie DILF, as it turns out. Now that Gen is dealing with her mom’s healthy situation after having been in a car crash, Brandon finds himself by her side and unable to leave her.

Brandon’s entire world is now Gen. She’s all he thinks about, all he craves. And little does he know, but he’s on her mind constantly, as well. And when her mother is about to be operated on, the doctors trying to save her life, she promises her to let Brandon take care of her during her mother’s healing process.
Now living together, all strength of will is about to go flying out the window, and their wildest fantasy is about to come true.
The DILF is a sweet story wrapped up in a lot of hot smut. Smutty smut. That type of dirty filth of awesome lemony goodness. Which is just what I expected (plus a little more) when I finished Daddy’s Best Friend.
Remember me suggesting having a shamwow at the ready? Well…
The DILF didn't have quite the same unf factor as the first in the series but it was still good and dirty. I loved the level of filth in this one and cannot wait to read the next book.

Welcome to Temperance Falls, where experience counts.
The DILF is number two in the series, following Daddy's Best Friend. Like the first book, this features a taboo romance. Genesis (Gen) is the 18-year-old best friend of Evie, from book one. In that book, Evie wound up with Nathan, her father's best friend. This time around, it's Gen who falls in love with none other than Evie's father, Brandon.
Unlike Evie, though, Gen is more sexually experienced and confident, so I felt that she brought an extra layer of maturity to the relationship with Brandon. Brandon knows how wrong it is to be attracted to his daughter's best friend...but he can't stop thinking about Gen.
When Gen's mom is involved in a serious accident, Gen winds up staying at Brandon's house in the meantime while her mom is in the hospital recovering. The forced proximity means that it's just a matter of time before the sexual tension between Gen and Brandon reaches a boiling point.
As happy as they are with their newfound romance, however, trouble in paradise soon finds them. Brandon is a bit of a workaholic and has been ever since Evie's mom walked out on them nearly twenty years ago. Being a single dad hasn't been easy, but Brandon has worked hard to give his daughter a good life.
Now that Evie has moved out, though, it's tough for Brandon to switch gears in his work life. He hasn't had a girlfriend in forever, so there's definitely a learning curve when he and Gen get together. I liked how the relationship isn't instantly perfect. Brandon needs to learn how to balance work and family, now that Gen is in his life.
Brandon is faced with some tough choices, but ultimately he's willing to go to great lengths to make Gen happy and show her how much he loves her. There's some mild but brief drama, which is easily subdued thanks to some well done groveling on Brandon's part.
The Temperance Falls series is taboo romance done right. I'm quite picky about my taboo books and in a less capable author's hands, this series could have been a complete mess. But it really works for me.
Bff follows in my buff footsteps..who would have thunk it...like father like daughter
What can I say but DAMN, DAMN, DAMN GINA! I meant Genesis...you that's my line. When it's good. I thought Matt and Eve's story was hot . Oh no, Hunty, they have nothing on Gen and Brandon. Now see, Gen is Eve's best friend while Mate and Bran are best friends. Ok, now, the men are both older hot as sin men in their 40'tys and and the gorgeous falubous ladies well let's just say they just became into their womanhood. 18ish... anywho's Gen had to stay with BRandon because her mom was in a horrific car accident and her mom didn't want her home alone because she knew how much she hated being alone. No one these two had feelings for each other let alone that the other reciprocated it towards each other. Well hungry, things got heated up really fast and since Temperance Falls is a really small island rumors sure spread fast. Brandon is not the only one who brings home work. Only difference is Gen work is more fun. She has to bring home her work to give her boss a good review on whether they should invest in the product or not. I need to do some research in one of those products myself. Hey Ellis or Brighton are those knee highs/stockings real? And if so where can I order some? I'm serious...This book is hot and sexy and boy oh boy I loved it. You won't regret it. Worth every penny and second you read it. That's right I said second.
The DILF is book two in London Hale's debut series, Temperence Falls. and follows the trend of the taboo, the Forbidden.
What I love, so far, about the books in this series is they are quick but dirty reads - but there is a total story there. They aren't just steamy romps to give you a thrill.
The DILF brings us the story of Evie's dad, Brandon, the work obsessed businessman who finds himself with a new attraction to his daughter's best friend, Genesis. Though Brandon is determined to stear clear of this new connection, Genesis isn't so keen on allowing him to ignore it.
The chemistry between Genesis and Brandon was sizzling, the sexual tension strung tight throughout the house before they finally give in to it. And that's where the steamy, sexy fun really began.
Though it takes a little while for Brandon to realize what he really wants and how far he's willing to go to get it, once he makes up his mind, he puts forth the effort needed to grab hold and keep it. That's what I love about the men in this series, while they may have a reluctnancy based on their idea of what is acceptable - once they've given into desire and found their other half, they hold nothing back.
The DILF was another fabulously sexy tale from Temperence Falls, and though it focused on delivering us the story of Brandon and Genesis - it also introduced us to a few more characters who I'm excited to see in future books.
FINAL DECISION: I have to admit that I was disappointed. I was recommended these books, but this one didn't interest me at all. Nothing was particularly good or exciting about the story.
THE STORY: Genesis is the best friend of Brandon's eighteen-year-old daughter. When the two end up spending time together, the heat between them takes over, but a relationship between them, along with being complicated as Brandon is twice Genesis's age, the potential scandal threatens Brandon's career.
OPINION: This book just was boring. There didn't seem to be any reason for these two to get together or (once they decided to get together) to stay apart. If the story intended to lean on sex, that was pretty boring as well. In fact, I liked this one even less than the first book in the series because it made no sense for Brandon to be concerned about his daughter's reaction when she was in a relationship with Brandon's best friend. I don't mind a quickie book based on a trope that is hot and superficial, but this book didn't have anything to distinguish it.
WORTH MENTIONING: This is a short story of about 70 pages.
CONNECTED BOOKS: THE DILF is the second book in the Temperance Falls series. The story can be read as a standalone.
Romance trope: age gap; best friend's dad Series: Temperance Falls: Experience Counts Length: 106 pages
Plot: When Genesis's mom gets in a bad car accident, Brandon, Gen's best friend's dad, has her move in with him so she won't be alone while her mom's in the hospital. But that might have been a mistake - they're both having trouble keeping their hands off of each other. Will Brandon make an honest offer or will Genesis have to walk away?
Commentary: It was a little weird to me that an adult (young, yes, but an adult nonetheless) needed to move into someone else's home for her mother's short stay in the hospital. And the explanation was essentially that she was an extrovert and needed to be around people. But it's a plot device, I get it. Genesis was a little bold to need a babysitter - took control of her own sexuality, worked in a sex shop, was sassy as heck. I'm glad she didn't let Brandon get away with putting her second.
After reading Daddy's Best Friend I could not wait to get my hands on The DILF. In this book we follow Brandon and Genesis . Brandon is the father of Genesis's best friend , I know a lot of people will look at that and think how is that going to work , but In some very sexy ways London Hale keeps reminding us that age is really just a number . There are some scenes in this book that make just want to sit right in front of my fan and put my kindle inside of a freeze just because of how steamy it is , but at the same time there is so much more to Brandon and Genesis than sex , these two are perfect for each other and it made me so happy to see them get these happy ending . This book was sexy , fun and addicting and I am now typing this review as fast as I can so I read Nanny with benefits lol. If you love all these things in your stories you should definitely pick up a copy as soon as you can .
Another excellent book by London Hale. This is book #2 of the Temperance Falls series. Each book is a standalone with recurring characters. Sexy shorties about older men and younger women. Well written and entertaining with heat galore.
Genesis had always joked about how her best friend's dad, Brandon was a DILF but one night it was no longer a joke. The attraction between them was very real and undeniable. It didn't help that Gen was staying with Brandon while her mom was in the hospital and they were all alone. No longer able to fight it they began an intimate relationship that was hot enough to burn down the house. Too bad that if anyone finds out it could destroy everything.
This book was good, mostly due to the sexy times, with nearly nonexistent plot (though that's unsurprising for a book that's only 100-ish pages). However, my beef is with the practical side (or lack of one) of the story.
Brandon's (who's like 35-40ish?) and Gen's (18) relationship kinda creeps me out because....well....I feel like it should go without saying, but if they get married (which seems likely based on the ending), Gen will be Eve's STEPMOTHER. Eve and Gen are 1) BEST FRIENDS and 2) the SAME AGE.....so if their relationship lasts, EVE WILL BE GEN'S STEPDAUGHTER.
I mean.....that honestly takes MUCH of the hotness out of it for me. It's too awkward and uncomfortable and, frankly, creepy.
”Knowing this was it. She was it. I’d give up everything for her, for more moments like this one. There would be no walking away this time. This was everything.”
This series has been a pleasant surprise. It’s the second one of the three I’ve read but I’ve been going through them backwards. There is a TINY bit of connection between them so I probably should have read them in order but they are definitely okay as stand-alones.
Short, well paced, steamy, and hot heros, that’s what you get in this series. When Genesis needed someone her best friends dad was there to take her in and look after her. They had an attraction that had been building for a few weeks before their cohabitation so OG course this puts things to a head. It’s definitely a hot book. 5/5 stars for this novella.
3.5 Stars I liked this book but I didn’t like it as much as the previous book. The chemistry between Genesis and Brandon was clear to see and the passion was through the roof. I wanted to see more of Gen and Brandon together, the majority of the time Brandon was at work. I understood Brandon had a job but he kept letting Gen down. When Brandon wasn’t at work and was with Gen, I liked witnessing their attraction. I liked that Evie didn’t kick off when she found out about her best friend and her dad’s relationship. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I need it now! The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read
This was a great quick and dirty read w/that HEA I require. Brandon and Genesis had me grabbing for something cool to drink...and hard to rub. I loved both Brandon and Gen's struggles with what they were doing. Brandon had been a workaholic, and missed so much of his daughter's life growing up. His forbidden feelings for his daughter's best friend forced him to confront some issues he'd been dealing with his entire life. Genesis is no wallflower, and as much as she's attracted to Brandon, she's not going to let him walk all over her, and disrespect her. This was a very hot book, and there were also some funny moments. I'm really enjoying this series.
blah, I found this one pretty boring, tbh. like forget how much I don't like this romance trope, I was not invested in the two characters' relationship at all. I didn't believe in their love, and because of the novella-length, it felt hastily rushed. and how they end up *finally* in a situation that makes temptation impossible to ignore, really? you could've fooled me that Gen's mom was actually seriously hurt. so sadly, The DILF was a nope for me. but I'm very excited to read this next one! I already like the characters, and it sounds a lot more fun.
This sexy story continues where the first book left off. Brandon was heading to the hospital to be with Genesis after her mom was in a car accident. Well when all he can think about is how to make things better for Genesis he can't stop thinking about getting her in his bed. Only a few thing stand in his way of doing that first thing is she's 18 not that big of a deal second thing is she is his daughters best friend. And Brandon wasn't sure if he could get over that, and add on top of that he is a workaholic is he willing to give everything up for her or is he stuck in his ways.
Another sexy addition to the temperance Falls series. When Brandon realizes that he has feelings for his daughters best friend, who happens to be only nineteen years old he runs from them. The little town of Temperance Falls would never understand their relationship if he gave in for his desires, especially his boss and the company he has given years for. When Brandon realizes Genesis feels something for him he has to decide if he will give in to his happiness or let other people decide what his true happiness is.
I actually was really excited to see how this story went when I was reading about Eve and Nathan. Genesis seemed to have had a thing for Brandon, Eves dad. But it wasn’t like Eve, where Gen was crushing on Brandon for years. She always thought he was attractive but never looked at him like that. Vita after one night she is checking for him.
And I love how confident Genesis is in herself. It not a confidence that even adult women have. But she has it and it’s what draws Brandon to her. Nice fast paced read.
It’s not me, it’s you. I’m a simple girl — I listen way too much to The Unlikely Candidates, I have some unhealthy passion for popcorn, and I’m a sucker for the age-gap trope. And if I’m being totally honest with you, I even liked you at first. You seemed to be a good guy and you’re hot. (I’m not going to deny it, it’s a fact.)
I won't talk about how you seemed to fall for Gen out of nowhere. I doesn't really matter, does it? And I want you to know that I get why you were so mad when you discovered that your best friend and your daughter are in love with each other. Had it been me, my father would have killed the guy. But dude. Who are you to be mad at your best friend for being with your daughter when you’re doing the exact same thing with said daughter’s bestie? In my book, you have no right to judge or even so much as frown over it.
Also, you bored me to death. But don’t worry, it happens, I'll get over it.
