Westside Wolf Pack: Complete Series

Rate this book
Crash (Westside Wolf Pack 1)

Ben Singer has been in love with his former best friend from the time they were teenagers. Ben thought they were mates, but the rules of their pack kept them apart.

Axel Cross is a fuck-up. The sexy tattooed wolf threw away his chances of ever becoming pack alpha at seventeen, and Ben, the pack’s omega, has no idea why.

When Axel’s uncle kicks Ben out of their Pittsburgh pack, it’s the chance the omega has been waiting for. Then Axel demands to accompany the smaller wolf. The only problem is Ben wants to run away for good.

But Axel doesn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. He’s determined to go with Ben, even if the omega doesn’t want him around.

While desire stirs between Axel and Ben, years of heartache haunt them. Can the alpha and omega let go of their past and the old pack in order to find a bright new future together?

Burn ((Westside Wolf Pack 2)
When Ben and Axel settled in Santa Cruz, they thought they’d finally get some peace. They were wrong. An old pack war is brewing, and two local werewolves need their help.

Quinton Santos and Gage Varela are the only remaining wolves from the once great Westside pack. As a dangerous threat resurfaces, they need an alpha to lead, but Gage and Quinton are only beta wolves.

Even worse, they can hardly stand each other.

Gage knows the rich and arrogant Quinton is his mate. While giving into his desire for the beautiful man is easy, Gage isn’t about to fall in love.

Quinton used to be confident, but the fire that killed his family left scars deeper than those on his skin. He knows Gage is the stronger wolf, and he’s worked hard to prove he’s not weak. But no matter what Quinton does, Gage only sees him as rich and useless.

When the leader of the rival Eastside pack attacks, they need Axel and Ben’s help to defeat the crazed alpha. Axel and Ben work to bring their new pack together, but it isn’t easy with two betas who are at each others throats.

After years of hurt, can Gage and Quinton let go of the darkness in the past and forgive enough to fall in love?

Break ((Westside Wolf Pack 3)

Being an omega sucks. Luca Collins should know. His pack mistreats him, his dad doesn’t care about him, and bullies make his life hell.

Enter Colton Smith, the kind hearted human who befriends Luca. They share a first kiss, a first love, and plan to run away from their little Montana town and start a new life together. But fate has different plans.

While Luca is sure Colton’s his mate, that belief is shaken when a group of wolf hunters attack Luca's pack -- a group Colton belongs to. Proof that humans and wolves don’t mix.

Alone and brokenhearted, Luca flees town and ends up in the clutches of a sadistic alpha.

When they meet again, Colton’s a wolf, and Luca is hiding in a shell, broken into a thousand different pieces. Can they overcome the secrets that tore them apart and find the love they once shared?

I enjoyed this series of books, I had a few small issues but overall, they were great to read. The first book Crash had my biggest problem. When referring to Axel and Ben the author would frequently switch their names with alpha, omega, taller, and smaller and if there was another character mentioned she would do the same so it could get slightly confusing. At times, I would have to go back a few sentences just to make sure who the current character was. This problem was not in the 2nd and 3rd books. So, the flow of those books was good. The terms alpha and omega were still used in the 2nd and 3rd books but used differently. A complete series like this is total how I like to read a series. And It made this one seamless to read. I love how the author starts with one couple Axel and Ben in Crash and then adds a second one in Burn and then adds the third in Break. The way that the characters and story’s intertwined was brilliantly done. They all have a story and their problems to resolve and they have the help of those before them to do it (to some point). I like that all the couples weren’t thrown together to be sorted out.

The Character were great they were thought out. There was a good story and plot to the series. Even with the above-mentioned problem, the writing was good. In fact, one thing that the author could do that many I find are unable to do very well. Is that she was able alternate between the present and the past in chapters. Often this can be confusing or irritating but here it was very well done and it gave a lot of insight to the “why and how” of things of the past. It was brilliantly done, she knew how to do it right.

Book 1 is Crash and is about Axel and Ben and their struggles. Axel is a alpha who is raised and treat one way next door to Ben who is an omega who is raised and treated another way altogether. They are both stronger than they think and face many obstacles including themselves on long the way.

Book 2 Burn is about Gage and Quinton. This time mates growing up in the same house. But their families are different. Tragedy falls on them to an overwhelming degree. And they separate while Quinton goes to school. When he returns, it is only to more problems, fighting is what they do best especially with each other, so they join with Axel and Ben to fight forward.

Book 3 Break is about Luca and Colton They are raised in different worlds from each other. Luca is an omega wolf who is not treated well. Colton is a hunter who is raised to kill wolfs like Luca. Luca and Colton meet in high school and Colton protects Luca. When things go bad and they find out about each other they leave town. They end up joining with Axel, Ben, Gage, and Quinton to be in the Westside Pack. There are things that Luca and Colton need to work out and there is Colton’s mom and her girlfriend to worry about too. (There is some rape mentioned in this book it is not described though. Just in reference that someone experienced it)

Here is one quote from the books “You told them I was an alpha too. They ‘ll be pissed when they find out I’m not.” “You are an alpha,” Axel said softly. Ben stared at him like he did when they were kids and Axel said something stupid. “I already said I didn’t want the responsibility.” Something snapped into place at that moment. A puzzle piece coming together, forming the whole. The truth sat there the entire time, and he only now noticed it. Axel sighed. “Me either. But maybe that’s the point. A good alpha doesn’t want to be an alpha – he just is an alpha.” Ben cocked an eyebrow. “Ancient Chinese proverb? Or are you being profound?”

Axel, Ben, Gage, Quinton, Luca, and Colton all want better lives and peace with their mates. You will have to read the books to see how they all get it. This is absolutely a collection to read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

Reading these three books as one definitely gave one the feeling of reading a book in three acts. I loved how the characters of Axel and Ben grew throughout the books; but, there needs to be more. I want more! Perhaps, showing the strain and excitement in growing the pack and maturing Axel (and Ben) would be highly enjoyable to read.

I would love to have the pack continue to grow, placing Axel and Anton into intersection, somehow. I hope that Axel is clawing at Zoe with more stories to tell.

These books caught my attention from the first page and it was an effort to put them down to do my work. Love, love, love that the stories wove together and that the couples showed up in the following books. My favorite kind of series! The hot guys didn't hurt either...lol.

I received an ARC in return for an honest review.

Great trilogy

A lot could be said for each book. All three together tell an intriguing tale. All of the characters are well developed. Good editing and good writing. A number of well crafted and thought out sentences make this worth reading.

Excellent storyline and great characters, a few errors (names not being right) which kicked me out of the immersion a few times, but once you recognise what they are, they don’t have too much of an impact on the final story.

Can’t wait to read more from Zoe

I enjoyed reading the three books back-to-back. It helped keep everything prospective and keep the characters fresh. You could read these stories on their own but are better read in order. (spoiler) I loved how Ben was not your typical omega. Book 3 does have some areas that could be a trigger for some people but it is not described, only referred so you can make your decision if this will be a problem. This was an ARC review.
