Professional organizer Grace Portland is the queen of schedule and routine. Armed with talent and discipline, she accepts the most challenging of clients. Except when she is hired to assist an unsuspecting client, she finds the mission both difficult and .... arousing. Former Navy SEAL and member of Watchdogs, Inc., Lt. Commander Paxton "Harvard" Gray operates well in his piles of clutter and is quite content with his mad scientist methods. Although he is skeptical of Grace's claim that she can reform him, he adapts a simple Keep the piles, keep Grace around. Hired to assist the handsome soldier, Grace is severely challenged, to say the least. Yet when she becomes the target of a desperate maniac, she discovers that Harvard's unconventional methods may be the key to keeping her alive.
This story wasn't bad, but it wasn't up there among my faves. Romantic suspense works well for me. This had the suspense (I knew the culprit pretty much from the start) but the story could have been tightened up quite a bit and the romance was just ok. While there was no pushing away, the romance felt on the back burner.
-no cheating -no ow/om drama whatsoever - and the hero was not a manwhore -no pushing away -a few scenes with mediocre steam -good secondary characters - Diesel was great but Ice (next books hero) was said to be a ladies man but it was not harped on. -no epilogue for this couple. It was a set up for the next book with Ice and Bailey which was really odd because I thought they had too much storyline in this book for being secondary characters.
Grace is a professional neatness guru and she teaches others how to decipher and organize their lives. She is hired to help de-clutter Harvard's office at Watchdogs , Inc. Let the games begin. The chemistry is hot and instant between the main characters and they are truly a likeable couple. When Grace starts getting threatening notes and her office and home are ransacked the story truly takes off. The men of Watchdogs Inc are going to get to the bottom of who is threatening Grace. This is a quick fast paced read and totally entertaining book.
Amazing, it's a wonderful quickish romantic suspense that will leave you waiting for more. I cannot wait for the rest of the team to meet their women. Especially diesel and ice.
Terrible dialog, flimsy premise..... Shallow characters. It just didn't flow or make sense. I wasn't looking for Highlander, but this was escapism at its worst.
This book is packed full of characters and I loved the fact that even the secondary characters got page and plot time....setting the next book up beautifully. I don't think there is anything you can dislike about Grace, she is cute, sexy, a little sassy and completely swept off her feet by Harvard but then who isn't! He is an ex SEAL, super hot, sexy, smart and man enough to admit he is done for the minute he meets Grace. There is passion, intrigue, danger, hot sex, flirty banter, stubborn women and more stubborn men! How can you not enjoy a book which has all that? I look forward to many more books in the Watchdogs Inc series, obviously the next was started in place of an epilogue for Harvard and Grace, who I am sure will get there epilogue equivalent within the next books and throughout the series, but I cannot wait to read Ice and Bailey's book......I get the feeling 'fireworks' will be an understatement! I am hoping book 3 will belong to Diesel, before we move onto the rest of the Watchdogs Team!
