Mimi's got the event of her life setting up a high tea for a local power couple's wedding. Meanwhile, she’s super busy training her younger sister in Witchcraft and trying to be the top witch in a town where there's competition. But when her older sister’s slayer trainer dies mysteriously, everything seems to fall apart at once. She'll have to face a suspicious warlock, old family secrets, and even a demon to get to the bottom of things, with no guarantee she or her sisters will get through it all in one piece!
I voluntarily ARC for honest review. This story is about witch Mimi Auclair owner of the Tea Shope, meeting with for High Tea for powerful couple wedding for Trish Tarkington/Randy Grainer. Training her younger sister Lucy , in witchcraft. Her older sister Sibyl in her own training. Throw in Groves sisters , old man with an eyepath, warlock full of himself , Mimi's talking black cat familiar Kashmir , little demon and trying to be a top witch. With the help from her sisters , can Mimi show, she can handle all obstacles and hurdles to be a top-notch witch in town. I love and recommend this book to everyone 😆 😙 The storyline and characters are brilliant exquisitely well written and story is drama rom-com adventure provocative mystery and captivating . I love this series , it's a Hoot.
Another really good mystery story and this one is full of action that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just when you thought you figured out that was going on, you are blindsided and find out that was not it. Loved this story and it keeps you wanting to know more like will Mimi ever get to the point of understanding her gift. Will Lucy finally be allowed to learn and will Sibyl stop trying to change Mimi. Also, there is the fact that we might not be seeing the last of Hank and will the Tea Shop remain open. So many questions and so few answers Cannot wait for the next installment to see where things are going next.
I have to say that this series is surprisingly good; there is a certain reality imparted to the supernatural elements that is not only appealing, but causes you to suspend your disbelief. This is quite rare in this type of book. In addition, the characters are appealing and we are beginning to get enough character development of all three sisters to find them all interesting. The continuing backstory is more real than cartoonish which is sometimes a problem for books of this variety. I'll be looking with interest for more books by these writers.
Very tongue in cheek. Slayers, magic books, demons, possession and warlocks all blended into a very OTT plot. Can she and the intrepid reporter save the day? What does the warlock really want? Why are there wannabe TV characters roaming free? How did the man die and why was he there in the first place? For me this storyline has really gotten to out there and I probably won't be reading any more especially as the sisters all seem to be at odds with each other.
Sound exciting? This book was definitely that and a whole lot more. It had a little bit of everything and it was no only the longest of the books so far but it was definitely the best. I can't wait to see what happens next. Enjoy all.
Welcome to Lafay, a small town where the presence of witches, magic and supernatural beings is a poorly kept secret. Lafay is also home to three sisters, witches all, who attract trouble at every turn. Add a talking black cat familiar, a warlock, evil witches and a demon and you have a recipe for a fun, entertaining read.
I really enjoy this series. The books are well written and the characters and story lines are fun and entertaining. I hope the authors have enough material for a long run.
I requested and received an Advance Reader Copy of this book. My review is voluntary and the opinions my own.
I'm so sad to get to the end of the series but plan to read all other books by the author starting now. Please hurry up and give Mimi and Kashmir another murder or witchy adventure. Thank you for an entertaining time.
I loved the entire series. I will be reading more of this authors works. Light, fast-paced, mental visuals crystal clear, with more than a few twists and turns.
Three sisters are the main characters in this story. One is an ordinary housewife, PTA, blood drives, average person.....who is actually a demon slayer. The other two are her younger sisters, the older one is trying to keep their grandmother's tea shop open and out of the red. The other one is younger, and just learning about magic. Then things get interesting when "Mr. Handsome" shows up, and another man dies in his hotel room. There is also a big wedding that Mimi is trying to cater that would really help out the tea shop. Mr. Handsome turns out to be a warlock. The demons kidnaps the older sister, and then things get crazy. Can Mimi save the tea shop? What about the wedding? Read the book to find out how things ends.....or do they?
Mimi runs her grandmother's tea shop. Here she also practices magic and the making of potions. She's training her little sister Lucy in the use of magic. The older sister Sybil is a retired demon hunter, wife and mother of two. This series is fun and fast to read
This is such a fun series! The story quickly grabbed my attention and kept me interest throughout. The characters are fun and interesting. I look forward to reading more from these authors.
I received a copy of this manuscript from the author, my review has been voluntarily submitted.
This is the fourth in a series about three sisters from a witch family and their small town. It can be read as a stand alone but I would strongly suggest that you read at least book 1-Bewitched, Bedeviled and Bewildered for some needed background. This installment started a little slow for me but quickly sped up about one third of the way through. There were so many sub plots and stories that it could have been confusing had the writing not been as good. We learn more about the three sisters, especially Mimi who is struggling to keep the family tea shop open and learn magic. Kashmir the black cat familiar was his usual snarky self making me laugh. New characters introduced and a plot that is intricate and fast paced make this a joy to read. Highly recommend. I received a complimentary copy of this book for voluntary review consideration.
I read this story voluntary. I don't actually remember how i got this ebook. But who cares? I'm glad i have it. I don't remember reading anything from this author. So its a blank slate for me. I'm really glad i've decided to read this today. I just discovered cozy mysteries so everything is fresh for me. It was written well. Loved the characters and the cat was a little wise guy. I enjoyed the magic and mayham going on around this witch's family and town. I would love reading more from J.D. Winters. Great story!👍👍
