What happens when Heath Albruzzi's bridezilla stands him up at the altar? He goes on the honeymoon anyway....and takes one of the bridesmaids with him. Sparks fly, in more ways than one.
This was a refreshing read. I felt many emotions, from anger at Ali for standing Heath up and being a hateful, bitter person, to excited for Allison for finally getting her happily ever after. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a family member who thinks they're better than you. This book is definitely worth reading.
Books like this are the reason I love romance. It was so good. The chemistry between Heath and Allison was amazing. When a romance novel inspires you to want to fall in love, it's doing its job.
I hate giving a negative review, but this book... Let me start with the positives... It was a cute quick read. I finished it in a few hours. Author has potential. The story was never boring. I didn't feel the need to throw my tablet across the room after I read it. Just a few eye rolls. Now on to the negatives... The dialogue between the characters seemed teenagerish.. like two teenagers were talking instead of two adults. Plot holes galore.. who would take a bridesmaid you've only met once and spoken to once on a honeymoon just because their names were similar?? If you can get past that how can you get past the... SPOLIER AHEAD DON'T READ THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW... Groom and bride dating for a year or two and only being intimate once. Come on!!! That should have been clue number one!!! Clue number two should have been that Heath never proposed. Ali just started talking about marriage. If you can get past all that, can you get past Heath and Allison compared her body to Ali's. Ew yuck. I understand Allison doing it, but Heath? I'm sure it's meant to be a compliment, but we the reader should never know if the man is comparing his ex to his new girlfriend/lover, especially her cousin. Then there's the ex.... She fakes a pregnancy after she dumps him at the alter, shows up at the airport ( we find this out at the end) begs for a second chance, then decides she doesn't want him anymore. She's not a spoiled beat, she's psychotic!!!
A couple with a selfish self absorbed woman and a nice guy. The super planned wedding where the bride never shows . A cousin appears and the jilted groom asks the cousin to use a already purchased tickets at the Resort. A very fun ride!
This was a very stimulating read. You feel so many different emotions from anger to elation. Raine is a new to me author that I look forward to reading more of her books.
