Totally the right book to flick through and learn how to read your palm, some amazing explanations of the lines and marks, mounts etc. A comprehensive guide you'll return to time and again. Definitely one to keep to hand ;)

The first half had some nice details and illustrations that helped understand the shape of the hand and how to read the lines. The second half seemed like fillet with the same ideas over and over again.

This was an instructional novel on palm reading that I thoroughly enjoyed because of the tactical way it tells one to approach someone while reading their hand. As a beginner palmist I feel it really covered the basics well. There were also clever things that only have to do with first impressions that can help one read someone's personality, for example the firmness of a handshake or the grubbiness of the nails. However this book was a bit vague at times. I found myself telling people that they were creative in several different ways while reading their palms. Also, the author forgets to mention important specifics that effect a reading, for example what having a long life line looks like, or how one can define the color of lines.

Overall, this book gave me a good start to palm reading. However, if what you are looking for is a book with clear, direct, specific instruction, this isn't the book for you.

I was looking at my hands the other day, and I realized, Hey, wouldn't it be cool to understand what all these lines meant. So, I went and checked out a book at the library. I actually plan on making some prints and taking some pictures of close family members hands and studying this a little more, it's fascinating stuff. I always love insight into people's personalities and souls, and this is just another form. Yes, maybe a bit like astrology, but if the traditions have lasted this long, there must be something to them.
