After being turned into a hybrid werewolf, Stark became bonded to Lena. Always connected, Stark struggles to contain his emotions, especially considering he's mated to Kayla.
Being linked to two girls is exhausting, even more so when he has feelings for both. Kayla is his mate, but Stark can’t shake Lena from his mind. Can he manage to come to terms with his emotions before he loses Kayla forever?
Stark follows a fan-favorite character, Stark, through the third installment of the Aluna Hybrid.
My free time is spent writing, reading, eating, watching television, playing video games or relaxing with my daughter. Fun little facts: my favorite color is blue, I'm obsessed with Disney, I watch Japanese anime, and I'm a staff reviewer at Young Adult Book Central. I am open to any questions and feedback and also enjoy recommendations. Feel free to shoot me messages.
Having already ready the first three books in the Aluna series, I was excited when I found out about Stark, a companion novella to the series. Stark has been one of the series' most interesting characters since his introduction, and I was curious to delve a little deeper into the character.
This novella basically recounts events from Hybrid, only from a different point of view. It focuses strongly on his relationship with Kayla, and his daily struggles he has to find the balance within himself: he loves Kayla, but is biologically linked with Lena ... so, yeah.
I wasn't expecting a line-by-line recap of Hybrid, but even so, some of the major plot points of that story, when retold in Stark, felt rushed. Granted, nothing is as interesting the second time you read it, but if I was expecting any deep revelations, twists, or WTF moments in Stark, I didn't get them. As a result, Stark is really neither more nor less interesting to me than he was before I read his story.
I was delighted to hear that there will be a fourth book in the series, which I will definitely be reading when it comes out!
