I feel very proud of myself for getting through this issue without skipping or skimming anything!

Cloak & Dagger with Bill Clayton arrive in an unspecified part of the Middle East, hunting the source of a drug supply chain.
There is a plot with a pregnant arms dealer and a secret service woman who is seeking revenge for the death of her daughter.

Bill is revealed to be a part of this drug chain but redeems himself by protecting Dagger and providing a clue to end the duo’s mission… or at least deal with this one drug source.

This issue says it’s split in two but the second story is just a continuation of the first.

Using Bill’s clue, Cloak and Dagger find an ex-American soldier who is using ‘the power’ to enslave local rebels to make drugs.
Honestly, that whole plot with the rebels and then with the government and the Captain, sure, moved the story forward but really, just felt like a means to make C&D the local villagers heroes.

I had always hoped to be more of a fan of these characters. They have so much potential but the stories were never great.

This is the final issue of their second series. They’ll next be sharing Strange Tales with Doctor Strange. I plan to read the Strange stories but not sure if I’ll continue with the Cloak and Dagger ones.
