2 seconds later, and that would be an accurate portrayal of my reaction to this chapter, or more specifically to THAT unknown face! AAAARGH!!

*This here is not a review, but rather reflections.*

Shit, This was slightly unexpected! I am not sure how I feel at the moment. I will have to paraphrase Butch from Kill Bill here…

Ego: “Which „R“ are you filled with: Relief or Regret?
Id: „ A little bit of both. „
Ego: „Bullshit. I'm sure you do feel a little bit of both. But I know damn well you feel one more than you feel the other. The question was, which one? „
Id: „Relief…“

Yes, I’ll admit it, it was relief, because ultimately I love romance. I love a reformed rake. I love enemies-to -lovers. And I kind of got them all in this one moment : „No. I’m not“.

However, there is also a sense of regret. I regret losing THIS Shino. He was a quite sexy psychopath, and when he was manhandling Katsuya in chapter 6 & 7, my lady bits were dancing the fandango. Will any future sex be as good as the „finger-work“ of what I thought was a crazy person? "New" Shino has some pretty big shoes to fill...Maybe he stays barefoot;-P *wipes off drool*.

It will of course be very exciting to see where the story will go now, I am happy I don’t have to wait:-)

And some things makes sense now. I had to go back and re-read chapter 6 & 7, since there was stuff that I wondered about while reading:
-the pill Katsu had to take; what is that about, is it something Katsu takes to keep memories at bay?
-Shino going easy on Katsu with the tazer in ch.6, and almost looking…regretful..
-Shino saying in ch.6: " I loved someone very much but that person is gone now. Deep in my heart I wish you could be that person“.
Ok, I actually still wonder, is Katsu this person?? It was so very sad and romantic, awww.
-The fact that Shino did not rape him, but actually made him come. This must have been Katsu’s subconscious making this possible. I am not sure prostate massage can provide a hard-on in a situation where you are convinced you are about to be brutally raped and killed, but what do I know, I ain’t no doctor! I just thought it was hot…

Also, it was great going back and re-reading every sentence that Shino says. The first time, they were words spoken by a madman, a creep with an unhealthy obsession. The second time, it all suddenly turned into something almost sweet and full of affection...
"Why do I want you? Why did I throw away everything for you?“

I makes me very curious of how/how much the two of them know each other "in reality".

And how could I ever, ever think this was the expression of a mad serial killer:

Oh, and another point for „relief“…Shibata, the little sugar pie, was not brutally stabbed after all... *exhales happily*.

So technically he wasn't really raped all these times because he planned it all. But damn all the sex scenes are so hot. /nosebleeds

OH.... MY...... GOD...... EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE NOW!..... i was waiting for the plot to make sense to me AND NOW THAT IVE CONNECTED THE LINES EVERYTHING IS SO SHOCKING LIKE WHAAAAAATTTT?!?!!!! i still dont like the guy but now at least i know he had a purpose??? ig?? does it justify the things he did? probably not... but AT LEAST he had a purpose and was not just a psycho bastard that had tons of problems

OMG what a twist. Keiji is not the killer and Katsuya came up with the scheme to have himself kidnapped and terrorized to unlock his memory. WOW. Should have seen it. Flashback bad guy and Keiji didn't behave the same. Keiji was too much, text book serial killer.
