Jasinda Wilder has this way about her books- this particular series especially- that brings out all these emotions in me. Ever since reading Falling Under I’ve been dying for Ben’s story. The second book in this series (Jason and Becca’s book) is my favorite book by her. It got to me in a way that very few books ever have. So to read about their son, it’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time.
Ben has been on the road for a while now. After losing Kylie to Oz, he had to get away from home. He had to try to move on, to heal himself. And he couldn’t do that so close to home.
Ben found solace doing the one thing he still loves to do. Playing football. That is until an injury takes Ben out of the game for good. What is he going to do? What does he have left? He’s far away from home and alone. He meets someone that becomes his saving grace. A friend when he needs one. His physical therapist, Cheyenne.
Cheyenne is there for Ben to help him get his strength back. To be there for him when he needs a friend. Then something happens. Ben can’t catch a break. But out of this terrible and tragic ordeal, he meets a girl. A girl unlike any other girl he’s ever met.
Ben’s story is hard, but Echo… Echo broke my heart. Their story was painful. It was gripping. It wasn’t easy to read. And I don’t even want to talk about it at all. I want you to read it for yourself. To experience it.
Ben Dorsey is a special man. He must get it from his father. He takes being broken, being wounded, being lost, and turns himself around and strengthens himself to be there for someone else. He fights his battles, fights his demons, so he can be there for Echo while she’s fighting hers.
Echo is a girl who is completely broken. She’s flawed, she’s damaged, and she’s an all around mess. Things in her life have gone crazy. She is out of control and has no one to catch her. Until Ben comes into her life. He’s determined to stay. To help her through anything and everything life throws her way.
“You can fall, Echo. I’ll catch you. Because I’m falling too, and I need you to catch me, too.”
I liked Echo a lot as a heroine. Reading her lyrics and watching her perform was like opening a window to her soul. Her pain was palpable. Her grief was imperceptible. And she thought the pain could never go away. Until Ben. Ben changes everything for Echo.
As always, Jasidna’s writing is beautiful and fantastic. I love that she can combine emotional, painful, and steamy so perfectly. Her Falling series is her best work in my opinion. Some of the books in this series I will never ever forget. And seeing Jason and Becca all grown up and Jason as a dad… it was a highlight for me! I also loved the musical aspect.
I would recommend to all fans of the Falling series. For readers who love to have their heart ripped open and put back together again. I’m sad the series is over- but I’m excited about a certain character in this book that’s getting his own story!

Ben and Echo’s story sizzles in a gripping, multidimensional story of love and loss. It’s a perfect finale to one of my favorite contemporary romance series.
Jasinda Wilder closes the Falling series with a powerful story of love and loss. There are so many things I loved about this novel, and really, about the series as a whole. Like every installment we’ve devoured, it touts the perfect balance of steam and emotion, hope and heartache. And perhaps one of the things I’ve loved most about the series is that music is threaded through the story as a way to channel the turmoil of emotions they feel. But of course we’re talking Ben Dorsey here, so not only do we get that musical magic, we get football too. For me, I fell hopelessly in love with Falling Into You, which remains one of my favorite novels, caring deeply about Nell and Colt, and then Becca and Jason in Falling Into Us. As a part of that journey, it felt so special to follow their children, Kylie and then Ben, as they found love and experienced the crush and devastation of loss, in their own way. Falling Away is a story of second chances, of finding love again after you feel you’ve lost it all. It’s about finding someone when you least expect it and trusting that your heart will make you brave when the whole world seems to quake all around you.
Ben Dorsey has loved Kylie Calloway all his life, but when Kylie fell in love with Oz, Ben was left on the sidelines. He became someone he wasn’t proud of and shattered by heartache, he ran, leaving it all behind, adrift in the melancholy of his emotions. Town to town, state to state, he set out on a journey to figure out what was next for him. What could someone do with all that anger and heartbreak and regret? How would they move on?
When the road temporarily stops in Texas, Ben decides to join an experimental minor league football team and again he comes alive playing ball, with the promise of going pro. He had always hoped he would follow his dad’s footsteps on the field and he was finally getting his chance.
But then, fate plays yet another horrible hand and everything is gone in an instant with a career-ending injury.
Numb and alone, Ben finds a physical therapist to help him walk again and it turns out that Cheyenne Leveaux becomes his only friend. But even then, tragedy strikes and guilt floods him, joining the anger, loneliness, heartache and regret that have taken residence inside.
And then Ben meets Echo and everything changes.
Echo plows into Ben’s life unexpectedly, grief-stricken and in need of someone. Someone to hold onto. Someone to help her forget the pain, albeit temporarily. Ben is drawn to her, but his emotions and guilt try to steer him away. There are secrets he keeps that could hurt Echo and she’s already hurting enough. But through the crush of their grief, they find a transient respite, discovering the pull of something more in the flames of their desire.
Their chemistry is palpable and some truths are revealed as walls begin to come down. Ben hasn’t been able to connect with anyone since Kylie, but with Echo, he’s never wanted anyone quite like that. Echo has also had a past defined by hurt and loss. She’s been abandoned and broken, left to mend her own tattered heart and failing at doing so. She’s taken on the world boldly, recklessly, drowning her sorrows. And when their blissful bubble is ripped open by reality, she knows it’s time to leave Ben behind, but surprisingly, Ben isn’t ready to let go yet.
Their story is shaped by more hard lessons and as they hit a very sobering rock bottom. They must choose whether they are ready for each other, for the promise of something wonderful together, but first, Echo must face her demons and Ben must face everything and everyone back home, including Kylie.
Ben and Echo’s story is so heartbreaking, but at the same time, so hopeful. Both of our protagonists have been through so much and they each have had different ways of coping. Echo has bottled up everything inside while Ben has run from facing it all. Their story is really about them having the courage to confront those issues, having those issues fall away, so they can finally find much-deserved happiness in the arms of each other.
Jasinda has really written a series of timeless romances, suffused with heartache, but also with so much love between the characters and their families. Falling Away is a worthy, wonderful finale and I loved it!

Lord knows I've been waiting ages for Ben's story. I'm glad he didn't stay with Ky ('cause I can't stand that chick) but I wasn't crazy about Echo. She's all kinds of messed up and while I can only imagine to be in her shoes...I pictured Ben with a different girl. In the end, this is just my opinion.

I can't believe this series is over!!!!!!! I'm so glad for this book (and every book in this series for that matter) but I'm sooooooo sad to have to say goodbye to them all! Since I finished it, I've been going over all the Falling books and characters in my head and how great and amazing their stories were. I'm seeing a really bad book hangover in my future because of this series....But enough rambling.
I've been waiting for Ben's story anxiously since Falling Under closed on him leaving Nashville behind with a broken heart and a clouded mind. And well, Falling Away, the last and sadly final book in the Falling series, did not disappoint. This book was the perfect closure for this amazing series. This book was as heart-warming and sometimes as heart-wrenching as the previous ones in this series. The fact that these books all tell a story of love that can heal the most broken of hearts and the deepest of wounds is probably why it's one of my favorite series of all time. And Jasinda's writing has a lot to do with it.
In this book, and like in the last, Ben goes through a lot of painful and traumatic events. My heart ached for him as I followed him wandering around the country with the hope that his broken heart would heal faster. The way he spoke of his heartache was really moving and I really felt for him because of it, butt also because of all the bumps he encounters in his life. We got to know a side of Ben in Falling Under that was sweet but also very.....I'm not sure dark would be that right word but at least, wounded is. Ben, then, was far from perfect because he was blinded by his hurt and regret and even then, I really liked him and really hoped for a happy ending to his story.
In Falling Away, I got to see another side of Ben and I was really moved by him. He is such a strong character and man really. He goes through a lot all on his own but through all his pain and heartache, he stayed such a loving and caring man. I fell really hard for him in this book and I'm so happy he got his happy ending with Echo.
Now Echo. Wow. Her character was really something. I loved her inner voice. When she meets Ben, she is at the dawn of a very dark and difficult time in her life but she still managed to make me laugh. Her life was very different from Ben's and in a lot of ways, very hard on her but she was such a strong character. Not the easiest girl to get to know, you'll see but when you know what she's been through in her life and what she has to go through when she meets Ben, you kind of get why she is so hard to know.
I really enjoyed her character and I loved how Ben's unrelenting love and caring helped her lower the walls she surrounds herself with and accepted that he sees her for who she is and loves her for it.
I loved how deeply she felt things and her ability to never hold any punches and to express herself so honestly through her music. Those moments in the book where Echo sings are so gripping because of how true and raw they are. I loved those moments even though they weren't always easy to read.
That's another thing I was looking forward with this book: the music! In Falling Into You, Nell and Colt's music had really moved me and their connection through it was amazing to read about. That's one of the many things that made me fall in love with their story. In Falling Into Us, Becca's poetry moved me a lot too and again, in Falling Under, Oz and Kylie's connection through music did something funny to me. Falling Away was no exception of that regard. Echo's lyrics come from her gut and it's in them that she's the most open.
And I know that the Falling series has come to an end, but I'm really looking forward to Echo The Stars and to get to know more about the very talented musicians and friends that surround Echo. Hopefully, through them, will get to see glimpses of the Falling characters, but even if not, I'm really looking forward to this new series. I hope you are too.
This was an amazing journey Jasinda offered us through her books. These books and characters and their stories will be kept very close to my heart and so for a very long time. I cannot tell you enough times to read those books and to make your friends read them as well, because they are amazing and so filled with love! I said it before but I'll say it again, all the books in this series share an underlying theme, that love can find you in the darkest of times and places, that love can heal a broken heart and the deepest wounds, and that love you can find love even when you are a broken mess.
You will not be disappointed by this final installment in the Falling series. It is gripping and yet tender, full of music and deep emotions and because a cherry on top never hurts, it is also really hot! Writing this review was bittersweet as it means the end of these beautiful stories and because I really don't want to say goodbye to the Falling universe and characters, but the best thing is to know that they are a stretch of an arm away from me and that I'll always be able to visit them again.
I think it's safe to say I'm having one of the meanest book hangover over this series.

It’s just this simple. I’ve fallen for Ben.
I have been anxiously awaiting Fallen Away by Jasinda Wilder since Ben Dorsey drove away from the Nashville city limits with a broken heart listening to “Let Her Go” by Passenger in Falling Under.

And Fallen Away, the fourth and final book in the Falling series, did not disappoint. It’s the perfect conclusion to this emotionally-gripping, and at times, heart-wrenching series, where the underlying theme is that love can mend a broken heart and heal all wounds, no matter how deep. Hope is such prominent part of each book and assures the reader that no what painful thing life throws at you, you can still pick up the pieces and find true love… and that love can heal.
At the beginning of Falling Away, Ben Dorsey runs away from his supportive family and life in Nashville, Tennessee and aimlessly wanders around the U.S. doing odd jobs and trying to come to terms that he lost his true love, the one woman he thought was made for him, the girl literally next door, Kylie Calloway. A year later he settles in San Antonio, Texas to play football because he feels it’s the only tangible thing he has left. He is injured badly during a game and is told he will never play football again. He establishes a relationship with his physical therapist, Cheyenne, and that relationship is the catalyst for the tragic turn of events that affect both his life, as well as the life of Cheyenne’s daughter, Echo Leveaux.
Falling Away is told in dual POVs of both Ben and Echo, and I think this helps the reader feel the emotions of each character. Both Ben and Echo are each fighting their own demons, and they don’t always reveal to each other what they are, but the reader is drawn into their mind very easily. In addition, the book flows well with this combination.
Ben Dorsey is a fantastic hero. He is a young hero with an old soul in my opinion. He is shy, chivalrous and is willing to go the distance for his woman. He is a gentle hero, yet knows how to turn on the heat in the bedroom in a dominant way. It’s a fascinating, heady combination.
I want to highlight how much music plays such an integral and pertinent part of each book in the series and Falling Away is no exception. The playlist for each book is very different and creates a “mood” for each installment. I love the country music Ms. Wilder chose for this book. It’s perfect for the Texas and Nashville setting and sets the tone for Ben and Echo’s relationship. In addition, music is very important to Echo. The songs in the book that are connected to her are emotional, raw and truly touching.
Fans of the “Falling” series will not be disappointed in this final installment. It’s tender, gripping, and deeply affecting. Also, there are cameos from characters in the previous books that we all know and love.
A side note for anyone who chooses to read this book. When you finish Falling Away, I recommend you listen to the last song on Ms. Wilder’s playlist. It is the perfect song that not only completes this book, but this entire series. I hugged my Kindle after listening to it. It’s bittersweet that the series is over, but the best part is that these characters are always waiting there for me to pick up and visit again.

I can't believe we are finally here. The end of a road that has brought laughter, anger, tears, and happiness. And every other emotion under the sun. Jasinda Wilder's Falling series has one of my favorite books.
I loved FALLING INTO YOU (COLTON! COLTON! COLTON!). I ADORED FALLING INTO US! (Loved Becca and Jason's love story so, so much) I HIGHLY disliked FALLING UNDER (There were too many times I wanted to junk punch Kylie in her overly written about big boobs! I felt so damn bad for Ben.) And speaking of...
BEN! He finally got his own story. I have been anticipating his book for quite some time. I was calendar stalking, counting the days until I could read his happily ever after. And hot damn! I was not disappointed. Ben found his true love, Echo, and together they went on their own bumpy journey of love and loss. Along the way of that journey, there were LOTS of sexy time. That Benji-boy sure knows how to please the ladies, or lady in this case.
Believe me when I tell you that even though in this case Echo was the most experienced in the relationship, Ben was no saint, nor was he lacking in the "make the girl giddy and out of breath in bed" category.
I was very, VERY happy with the ending of this much loved book series. I will be sad to see it end. Or has it completely ended? *wink, wink*

“I grew up with Kylie, I was in love with her for six, almost seven years and there wasn’t this intense attraction, even to her. It honestly scares me, because I don’t know this girl at all.”
When I started this book, I had great expectations. I mean, come on, it’s Jasinda Wilder, how could it not be good? Wait, scratch that. How could it not be amazing? And amazing it was. This book was the perfect ending to a series that I fell in love with from the very beginning. It’s one of those stories that just stays with you. One you want to talk about to your friends as if it actually happened. So, in short, my expectations were not only met, they were exceeded once again.
Ben is the guy that girls just want to fall in love with. He’s gorgeous, athletic, a true gentleman to boot. But Ben has a broken heart, and to get away from that affliction, he leaves his hometown to try and make a go of a life without the girl he thought would always be his.
Along the way, he started playing football again and was hoping to be drafted PRO before long, just like his father had. But fate has a funny way of sticking it to you…and one too hard hit, changes Ben’s life course forever.
Now, I know what you’re thinking; been there, read that. No. This goes beyond his backstory…it pushes into a whole new category when he meets Cheyenne, his physical therapist.
It would be one thing if the story stopped there, but there is something special about Cheyenne Leveaux. Something that goes past the boundaries of your average therapist/patient relationship. She gets Ben. And he her. Problem is, although attractive, she’s old enough to be his mother…but that doesn’t stop them from becoming close and ultimately costing everything.
Where it goes from there, you’ll have to read and find out.

I really hated giving this book just 3 stars because lve waited so long for it to come out and I loved the stories in this series. It just felt alot shorter and not in depth like the other books. I really didn't care for Echo. I just felt Ben should have ended up with some one different.

5 VULNERABLE LOVE STARS!
“I want more than one kiss. I want more than one night, more than one tumble in the sheets.” “But I don’t know how—” “It’s simple, Echo. You just have to learn how to be totally vulnerable, that’s all.”
The above quote has to be my favorite from this book and the one that totally captures what this beautiful story is all about. A story about heartbreak, commitment, wanting more with the fear of getting hurt yet again, but mostly a story about finally surrendering to a truthful and vulnerable kind of love .
Falling Away is the final book in this series and even though I'm sad about that I'm also extremely happy with the way this book turned out. This is Ben Dorsey's story (the son of Jason and Becca from Falling Into You) and it's mesmerizing, tragic, and very courageous as it embraces some real distressing situations. Once again, Jasinda Wilder created a real emotional story and just made it beautiful with all its imperfections and I loved every part of it.♥
This captivating story starts with Ben being on a road trip. After having his heart seriously broken by a long and unreturned love, Ben decides to get away to forget the heartache and to try to find himself. During that time he travels around the country collecting new experiences from which he learns a lot but it's one experience in particular that turns his world upside down as tragedy not only strikes him but connects him with this one peculiar girl called Echo Leveaux.
“I don’t know how to interact with this girl. How to comfort her, how to keep up a conversation when all that runs through my head is I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”
The way tragedy brings these two characters together can only be called destiny and it was brilliant. My heart totally went for them because in the turmoil of confusion, sorrow, guilt, and decisions to be made they wanted to feel something else other than pain and that's why their attraction for each other was beyond tempting even in their current circumstances. And Ben, oh boy, he was incredible through it all. He was goodhearted, chivalrous, and just there with the most genuine heart to comfort and support Echo even when she kept pushing him away.
“Why I so badly want him to open up again, why I want so much for him to inch closer. I shouldn't want his heat near me, shouldn't want his proximity. But I do.”
Fear sometimes can be a person's biggest enemy and for Echo it clearly was. This is a young woman who has gone through so much that by this point in her life she has almost become jaded towards the good that can be found in people. That's why meeting someone like Ben really catches her by surprise since in her experience men never care enough to stay. Even when Ben seems to be different and that makes her contemplate the idea of more with him, she still struggles with wanting to close that door because she knows that once he knows all her truths he won't want her anymore, or so she thought. . .
“Just wanted you to know, I’m still waiting for you.”
Then Falling Away takes these characters in a journey of healing, believing, forgiving, and falling in love. That whole process was heartbreaking, at times sexy and fun, but mostly beautiful. I loved Ben's endearing persistence and even Echo's misplaced stubbornness and fears because those qualities were what made them so special and perfect for each other.
I LOVED this story from cover to cover. It was everything I hoped for the final book in this series that is so dear to my heart. Ben and Echo's story was emotionally tragic but filled with so much hope and bravery that it totally reaffirmed my believe that love can heal it all. Really, this book was just beautiful and it stole my heart so of course right into my favorites it goes.♥ If you're new to the Falling series I absolutely recommend you give these books a try but read each of them in order to fully enjoy them. ;)

I so loved Ben’s story, Ben’s heartache from love lost was tangible; this is not a spoiler as it is part of the plot of book 3 Falling Under.
As the blurb reveals Ben ends up with a football career ending injure, this injure introduces him to Cheyenne Leveaux, his physical therapist. Here is where in order to keep the plot something for the reader to experience I am going to keep this short.
Ms Wilder gutted me….. Ben’s path to happy is not an easy one, it is one with heartbreak, loss and a number of situations where he must truly fight for his happy.
Its not what life gives you but what you do with it and I loved that Echo and Ben both live this in the end! (yes, I said Echo, read the book you will understand what I mean)
I loved an instant attraction, I loved how even once they found each other again Ms Wilder did not rush the happy; first they both have to find their own way first and then once they are couple Ben taking his time working to find the right time to make their happy forever!
This book had truly masterful story development and in the end the heartache, the pain and the struggle were so worth it.

Jasinda has blended four amazing books into a final worthy of an encore. Falling Away has everything we have come to know and love form a Wilder book. Love, angst, and laughter balance out this story to perfection. Ben is on a heartbreak sabbatical. Running from his past he is living in the moment. Faced with injury, Ben is forced to make some adult decisions with his life. Confront his past? Go home? Fall in love or just fall away…
Ben’s story is beautifully haunting. Seeing his pain cross over from Falling Under, I became invested in Ben. His thoughts and feelings had me hoping and praying for his book. Then comes Falling Away, all his pain and suffering was brought to the surface. Ben is searching for a place to fit. A place where is heart no longer hurts.
Falling Away is a must read for 2015 and will keep you glued to your Kindle till the very end. Jasinda has given Ben a journey that is real and raw. You will fall in love with Falling Away and another Jasinda book will be added to your favorites list. Oh! And… the end will give you something to wish for. It made me giddy!

Falling Away is a must read for 2015 and will keep you glued to your Kindle till the very end. Jasinda has given Ben a journey that is real and raw. You will fall in love with Falling Away and another Jasinda book will be added to your favorites list. Oh! And… the end will give you something to wish for. It made me giddy!

First of all let me tell you how sad I am that the the series have come to an end.
I really loved Jason and Becca's story and when I read the beginning of the book, in Ben's POV I couldn't help but think of the little boy who appeared on the last chapters of the 2nd book
. So my heart ached for that sweet, good kid. And Ms Wilder delivered a good hero. Which by the way, she owed us, since he really behaved like a dick in Kylie's book!
The plot was filled with grief and love and the sex scenes where H-O-T.
All in all I was touched but I wish I could have seen more of Jason and Becca.
Looking forward to Brayden's story which I know will knock my socks off!

I will never forget Falling into you, the first one in the series, about Colton and Nell.
This is the last book in the series. The story is about Ben, Becca and Jason's son.
A beautiful end for The Falling Series where Jasinda does her best: angst, pain and tragedy wrapped in hot and steamy scenes. In short: a very emotional read.

I write this review with sadness and joy because this is the end of one of my favorite series. The Falling Series has brought me pleasure and agony, hope and despair, and I’ve always thought it one of the most beautifully written NA series out there, with amazingly developed characters. Falling Away continues the trend of Jasinda Wilder’s great story telling, and ends this series on an achingly beautiful note.
Falling Away begins with Ben Dorsey, on the road, without direction, and running away from a broken heart. I ached for him as he traveled across the country, trying to forget his past. I felt my heart crack as he worked to build a new future, only to have it fall apart in a moment. I was gutted when, as he learned to open his heart again, it was torn in an instant. But as Ben’s world is unraveling, he meets a girl who is in as much pain as he is, maybe even more. They both hold on to each other as they battle guilt and grief, and although it hurt, I felt hope as I read this story about discovering new love and learning to feel again.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. What I love most about Jasinda Wilder’s books are her characters. They are the best. Ben Dorsey was the type of hero I absolutely love. He isn’t the one-dimensional alpha male. He’s real, caring, true, and he knows how to treat a woman he loves. For fans of Falling Into Us, he’s the perfect mix of Jason and Becca. And although I was mainly invested in this story because of Ben – and the synopsis doesn’t tell you too much about the female protagonist – I’ll say that she surprised me. I LOVED Echo. She was beautiful and honest, flawed, vulnerable, heartbreaking and inspiring. Even with all her cracks, she’s still strong and I loved the connection she had with Ben. Echo is wild and slightly unhinged, as she deals with her deeply rooted turmoil, and Ben is a buoy that keeps her afloat.
Although, this wasn’t a damsel in distress story. These characters grow together, and they grow separately. The perfect New Adult romance, in that it tackles, realistically, the struggles people face as they try to let go of childhood hardships and become an adult with a life and love that they dream about. As with the rest of this series, music and poetry played a large role. Entwined in this story were truly amazing, and touching lyrical gems.
This love story was the perfect balance of sizzle and sweetness. The sexual chemistry was an important and almost tangible aspect of the story, but it wasn’t overwhelming. I loved the progression of Ben and Echo’s love story, and thought it flowed perfectly. The secondary characters were also very intriguing, and I have my fingers crossed for a possible spinoff. But even if that doesn’t happen, I ended this series feeling immensely satisfied. After Falling Under, I wanted this story so badly, and knowing how much I loved the others in the series, I had high expectations. Falling Away was better than what I wanted, greater than what I expected, and the absolute perfect ending to a very beloved series.

Ακόμα μία ιστορία που αφορά το παιδί κάποιου ζευγαριού που γνωρίσαμε στο παρελθόν (και πιο συγκεκριμένα, στο δεύτερο βιβλίο της σειράς), μια ιστορία που είχε πολύ καλές προοπτικές, με έναν ιδιαίτερα ενδιαφέρον χαρακτήρα όπως αυτόν του Μπεν που, όμως, δεν αξιοποιήθηκε καθόλου σωστά. Η Echo είναι άχρωμη, έως και αδιάφορη θα έλεγα, η χημεία μεταξύ τους σχεδόν ανύπαρκτη, ενώ έχω την εντύπωση πως η συγγραφέας δεν προσπάθησε ιδιαίτερα να εμβαθύνει ούτε στους χαρακτήρες της, αλλά ούτε και στους προβληματισμούς αυτών ώστε να τους δώσει μια πιο ρεαλιστική και ουσιαστική διάσταση.

Esta historia me encantó! Adictiva para no parar de leer hasta acabar el libro! Aaay si en algún momento dudé de la serie con este se reformó al 100%! Un aplauso para Jasinda Wilder que tiene una narrativa muy especial, se nota su forma de crear más realista.

I went into this book with mixed feelings. I was excited to finally get the last piece of the puzzle –Ben's story – but I was also sad to say goodbye to these characters. I've been so wrapped up with these characters and their lives that while I'm happy to have the whole story, it stung a bit to have to let them go. Jasinda's Falling series was one of my first new adult series, and still remains one of my favorites to date. Falling Away gave the strong conclusion this series so richly deserved.
Ben was a rather complicated character. While I loved him in Falling Under and I understood why he behaved as he did with Kylie's budding relationship, I didn't love some of his actions. That said, I was still anxious to get inside his head and follow along as he found his happily ever after. But holy crap was it a bumpy road. Ben's story illustrates the old adage that "everything happens for a reason," but it was still tough to read at times.
Ben's not in the greatest of places at the beginning of Falling Away. He's lost the girl he's loved his entire life. The one he thought of as his soul mate. He left his family and friends to try to find himself and found some satisfaction in playing minor league football, but in another twist of fate, he suffers a career-ending injury and is a bit lost once again. Despite the close nature of his relationship with his parents, he's not kept in touch with them and they don't know the extent of what he's dealing with. It's in physical therapy that he meets a woman who starts to help him get back to himself, but then she's stolen from him before they have a chance to explore the attraction between them. My heart broke for him at this point.
Enter Echo, Cheynne's daughter. She and Ben bonded nearly immediately. There was some awkwardness when she discovered the connection Ben and her mom had, but in the end it only served to solidify their relationship. Echo was a strong character, but she wasn't in a great place. She was struggling and Ben helped her through it. She wasn't the easiest character for me to connect with, but I understood why her walls were locked so strongly in place. She's also an incredibly talented songwriter and musician and I loved how nicely that fit with the other books in the series. Music has played such a huge part in each of the novels. I was glad to see that continue here.
Falling Away was an emotional and captivating book. I was sucked into Ben's journey from the very first chapter. He was a good kid from a great family. He was just going through a rough patch. There were a few revelations about him that I found to be fairly surprising, but I won't get into all of that. I'll just say things aren't always what they seem. He and Echo made a perfectly imperfect, powerful match. The strength of their connection was undeniable, even if it was a bit complicated. The sexual tension leapt off the pages and things got pretty steamy, as you've probably come to expect from Jasinda's books. Sexual chemistry is great, but it was the characters, their journeys and the level of feels that made this book special to me.
Without giving anything away, I have to say I loved the way everything (and everyone) came back together in this final installment. While this is the official end of the Falling series, I'm thrilled to learn that some of the amazing secondary characters we're introduced to in this book will be getting a spinoff series of their own. I'll certainly be counting the days until Echo the Stars is available. I adored Brayden. I need more.
Well done, Jasinda. You made me laugh, cry and fall in love. I felt all the feels and ended the book with happy tears streaming down my face. Books like this are why I love to read so much.

MICHELLE'S REVIEW
I don't know how Jasinda manages to do it. How she succeeds in writing these stories that tear you apart and then put you together is beyond me. But she does it every single time.
This is the final story in the FALLING series and what a perfect end it was! This is Ben's story. I have to be honest- I wasn't originally super excited about Ben. In FALLING UNDER- he kind of came off as this jerk who wanted something once it was taken away from him.
And this folks- this is why we should all recognize that Jasinda is flawless when it comes to the writing game.
Not only did she make me want to have Ben's story with the teaser found in the back of Trashed but she made me FALL IN LOVE with Ben. BEN!!!! I am so team Ben right now. To the point where I was like- Shut Up Kylie. At least for a second. Because this book was all about the Ben.
Ben is at a low point. He's lost the love of his life and he just needs to get away. So he hits the road. He finally settles in Texas and finds his stride. That is until life kicks his ass again. It's at this point that he meets Echo. Now the circumstances they meet under are not ideal. But boy do they work for them.
As usual- Jasinda knocks it out of the park on sex and sexual chemistry. The way Ben describes Echo makes ME want to bone her.
And Ben is just all football build with olive skin tone and just screams do me. But it's the emotional connection that really soars here. Of course it's that same emotional connection that scares.
One of the best things about this book is actually the time Echo and Ben spend apart. While their love moves fast, they are very open to that fact. While there are some struggles with being totally honest about their feelings- when they work- they work completely. But what I love about their struggle is that they balance their time apart with wallowing, hitting rock bottom and bringing themselves back up.
I LOVE that they don't necessarily fix each other but that they fix themselves to be better for each other. Where I would normally find myself getting annoyed with Echo- I sympathized with her and found myself really enjoying watching her journey in this.
Jasinda excels at writing a story that takes you on an emotional journey. While this will probably not make you ugly cry the way FALLING INTO YOU and FALLING INTO US did- you might shed some tears (I did) and you will definitely feel all the feelings.
Jasinda finds a way to make you feel the emotions of her characters so intensely. Their pain is your pain, their joy is your joy. I can't say enough about how much I loved this book. Ben's story reminds us of the true power of love and it is beautiful- every step of the way.
FALLING AWAY is the perfect end to this series. I am sad that it is coming to an end BUT there is some good news on the horizon. Of course you'll have to read the note from the Author at the end of the book to find out what that is.
Read this book. Read this series. All of it is amazing.

During the first 10% I was soo afraid that this book was going in a too-weird direction - but it thankfully changed directions...I almost stopped reading ☺
But I loved it. Ben is such an amazing guy. We didn't really like him all that much in the previous book, but now he's sooo adorable and sweet and nice and hot and grrrr.

This series ending novel was fantastic! I could really relate to some of the emotions that both Ben and Echo felt. With Ben that was mainly his unrequited love for Kylie and his struggle to move on from her and those feelings. He’d shown his ugly side by acting out in anger, understandably hurt over his missed opportunity to claim Kylie’s heart before Oz came into their lives. Thankfully, he took Colton’s advice about getting away for a while to deal with his disappointment and frustration. That led to more than one life challenging event that would destroy the spirit of any young adult person.
And Echo, gosh! In a very personal way, I totally understood her doubts about how much her mother loved her by her non-action on one issue and how her father’s impact on her life made her distrust men. Her coping mechanism wasn’t the healthiest solution by any means.
Ultimately, these two broken young souls were destined to meet, connect and then part while each individually began to work on healing the broken pieces of their souls. I loved Ben's insistence that he loved Echo as she was when he met her though - beautifully imperfect, captivating him with her energy and personality. It took her a while to be convinced but eventually she allows herself to be vulnerable to him and simply fall with him into love.
One of the secondary characters that really stood out for me was Brayden, Echo’s bandmate and best friend. I loved Bray’s lecture to Echo his reminder to her that she was now his only family and therefore needed to snap the hell out of her self-centered wallowing.
As with Falling into You-1, Falling into Us-2 and Falling Away-3, the music mentioned and sung in Ben and Echo’s love story plays a huge role. I loved the lyrics of many of the songs particularly the ones sung in performances by Echo the Stars. They were so beautiful and meaningful as the below excerpt perfectly demonstrates:
Of course, I absolutely loved the epilogue and the closing passage of Falling Away. Author, Jasinda Wilder confirmed that the Falling series is now sadly complete. Fortunately, she also confirmed that fans can expect Echo the Stars: Brayden, the first book in a planned spin-off series sometime later this year. I’ll be eagerly one-clicking that one as soon as it’s available.

There is something special with this serie, something different, emotional, raw, touching. Goodreads told me I read 146 book in 2014, with that amount of books it's impossible for all stories to stay with you. This serie is an exception. I can still feel the rawness and tragic story of Colt and Nell in the first book and every character in the next books. I don't like all books Jadinda Wilder writes, on the contrary, but this serie...wow, some day I'm rereading them all!
This final book is about Ben Dorsey, son of Jason and Becca (book two). We've seen him in book three and his own chapter there was heartbreaking. He was my own hero of this book. I was a bit afraid which way it was going to go in the beginning of the story, but it turned out really good. He leaves Nashville, the heartbreak of Kylie and Oz, goes drifting and ends up in San Antonio. Under terrible circumstances he meets Echo and can't let her go.
Ben, Benji, he was perfect. He stole my heart already in book three. Echo though, I had problems with her. So much happened to her, so much determined her attitude but I couldn't get into her. That's the reason for only 4 stars. All the rest, just pure 'Falling' gold: lots of emotions, heartburn, misery and healing. And don't forget the steamy hotness...that you can leave that to Miss Wilder!
So the Falling serie ends here...highly, highly recommended, they have a special place on my bookshelf. And I'm looking forward to one of the side characters getting his own book! Yay!

From the end of Falling Under we know Ben was not happy with Kylie choosing Oz. He got in his truck and took off...for two years. He stops in different cities, working various jobs, never making commitments, all while nursing his wounds. He ends up in Texas finding a minor league football team. A strategic hit knocks him out of the game for good and rehab has him befriending a pretty, older physical therapist.
More tragedy you ask? Yes! Poor Ben. Yeesh.
This time Ben is befriending the therapist's hot, self-destructive daughter, Echo. Ben and Echo fall in insta-love during the three days they spend together. It's hot and intense and Ben's surprising revelation made the sex scenes even hotter.
Will these two ever see each other again? Why yes. Coincidentally, Echo also goes to college in Belmont. What are the odds? Convenient for sure but it's high time Ben makes his way back home.
Ben was a very sweet, stand up guy but I thought he was hurting a lot of people by staying away so long (Jason and Becca are still my favorite characters!) and he needed to put on his big boy boxers a long time ago and face Kylie.
Echo was a hot mess. I don't normally mind promiscuous heroines, in fact I usually applaud it, but that combined with Echo's addiction made me not like her for our Benji. I loved when Brayden told her off. That part was brilliant.
Overall the story was okay. It was nowhere near as perfect as the previous books in the series.
More tragedy you ask? Yes! Poor Ben. Yeesh.
This time Ben is befriending the therapist's hot, self-destructive daughter, Echo. Ben and Echo fall in insta-love during the three days they spend together. It's hot and intense and Ben's surprising revelation made the sex scenes even hotter.
Will these two ever see each other again? Why yes. Coincidentally, Echo also goes to college in Belmont. What are the odds? Convenient for sure but it's high time Ben makes his way back home.

After getting his heart broken by his best friend Kylie, Ben wanders around the country just wallowing in his grief. Works odd jobs and makes a living going from city to city, town to town. He gets injured and has to go to physical therapy and meets Cheyenne who becomes his only friend. Tragedy strikes again and after he meets Echo. She's wild and their chemistry is instant but she keeps pushing him away. The book is about two people trying to find themselves and finding each other and letting go of their messed up pasts and moving forward and loving each other. This story was my favorite in the series because Ben and Echo's pain were so real and it was just good to see them fall in love.
