After you see and learn about all his works right from the source, in Barcelona, Gaudi’s biography doesn't bring much, he was a dedicated, hard working, professional architect and all his life had one purpose, to design amazing things.

One thing I took back from Barcelona was the genius Gaudi. His work had to be seen in person to understand the understated beauty. The elements by themselves are stark and disparate but he ties all of together so well! Crazy genius! Beauty out of chaos is what I will always remember of this work.

Good enough for an introduction book for non professionals. Briefly but accurately portrays Gaudi in the framework of his social relations and character.

I was hugely impressed by Gaudi’s talent in Casa de Batllo and bought this book to learn about Gaudi’s path and philosophy. This book nicely summarises the development of architect’s character and beliefs. Moreover, there are pictures of some build and planned works. The book is well written and easy to read
