When a book grabs you, well, you just go along for the ride. This one had me from the first page and took me on one wonderful, adventurous, romantic ride. This opposites attract romance was just great. When you throw in the poor, little, rich girls quest to finally meet her father, a baddie who doesn't give up, humor, you have the most entertaining book I've read this year. Fans of Janet Evanovich and Susan Elizabeth Phillips will love this one.
Sophie has never met her father. He sends her an antique medallion and she is thrilled to have something from him. But when Mitch asks her to send the medallion back to him, she decides to take a vacation in Miami, take the medallion to him and finally meet the father she only knows through her mother's side of the story.
Sophie arrives in Miami, but she doesn't find her father, she finds Jimmy Panama, a cocky, ex-SEAL hottie, waiting for her. Jimmy is not happy the package he is supposed to pick up for his friend turns out to be his daughter, English socialite Sophie Davies-Stone, and then she is attacked and almost kidnapped. Jimmy knows he is in this way deeper that he ever wanted to be. Add to that the instant attraction and he knows this is not going to end well. But, a debt is a debt and he owes Mitch a lot

Rum Runner is packed with action, romance, and humor - the adrenaline from these characters' adventure will keep readers turning the pages! It was a lot of fun reading this book.
The characters are all easy to fall in love with.
Sophie is at a crossroad of some sort as she hops on a plane to find her father. She's curious about the man she has never met, and I don't blame her. Her only communication with him has been through letters or random artifacts he's found and sent her for safekeeping. With the urge to know more about the man behind the words, she heads off on an adventure she doesn't know is waiting for her.
The story is told through multiple POVs and we meet our next character, Jimmy, immediately afterward - and I enjoyed him just like I did Sophie. He's a cocky, ex Navy SEAL who ends up crossing paths with Sophie thanks to him owing her father a huge favor. And it just so happens that favor is to obtain a package, that is a medallion currently around Sophie's neck.
.. And of course, Sophie isn't willing to just hand this over to anyone who isn't her father.
This is where the adventure truly begins!
Sophie and Jimmy compliment each other in a fantastic way! They had me laughing and swooning. Their chemistry was coming off the pages and I couldn't get enough of these two together. The banter, hands on hips, eye rolls, kissing(?), all of it was so much fun to read!
And there are plenty of other characters that are introduced, even another POV that comes into play for the story, and I enjoyed them all! I wasn't completely sold on the extra POV, but by the end of the book it all made sense. I loved the foreshadowing done through Tricia Leedom's writing! I was truly impressed because this is a fantastic debut from her. Her writing, the story and characters, kept me entertained throughout the entirety of the book! I'll be looking forward to her future work.
I don't want to spoil too much of the story.
I promise that if you're in the mood for a fun adventure with a spicy romance then this book is perfect for you! The intense adventure the characters go through and the fun in their romance will keep you wanting more! And it all wraps up nicely, setting up the future of the next book as well. I can't wait to dig into more of these characters' I enjoyed so much! <3

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of Rum Runner provided by Xpresso Book Tours and the author. Bring on the mafia romance!
I can't help it, I'm picturing the movie Mr. Right all the while I was reading the book.
Full of action, gunfights, humor, and drama, I was surprised to find myself so immersed in the story I finished it in one sitting at such an ungodly hour at 3 am. #notsorry
It was everything I expected it to be and so much more. Tricia Leedom was a new-to-me author and Rum Runner was my first read, I'm excited to say that it won't be last either! I enjoyed being the hunted across the globe, chasing the bad guys, the sense of adventure and most of all the steaming romance between Jimmy and Sophie, I haven't felt such thrill in a long time!
Recommended read if you love action packed romance and mafia wars.

Sophie has always wanted to meet her father, the mysterious man who her mother despises that occasionally sends her letters. When he sends her a family heirloom to keep safe, she feels honored. When her father asks her to send the medallion back to him at a hotel in Florida, Sophie jumps at the chance to meet him instead. But what she finds instead is a different man in her father's place and a whole lot of unexpected danger. Former Navy SEAL Jimmy is just trying to do a simple favor for a friend, retrieving a package and then going about his business. He never expected the uptight woman claiming to be his friend's daughter or the fact people are after her. His simple favor just became a lot more complicated.
This was exactly what I needed, without even knowing it. I had thought the synopsis sounded fun when I first heard of the book, but I had no real expectations when I started reading. Well, Tricia Leedom was able to deliver the perfect blend of action, suspense and romance and I never wanted it to end. I have already added the next book in the series, Bahama Mama, to my wishlist as soon as I finished this story (but alas, I have to wait until January 2018 to get my hands on the next book, sigh!) The plot was non-stop action, with one dangerous scenario or hysterical encounter (or a hot stolen moment) after another, and the characters were so fleshed out they had depths that made me feel like I knew and they were real. I blew through this book in one sitting because I did not want to put it down. I was reading some other reviews on the book and it was compared to the Stephanie Plum series which I can kind of see plot-wise since the crazy antics all around the characters and one thing after another stands in the way of the goal, but I felt like this book had more heart to it.
The book is narrated by Sophie, Jimmy and sporadically by April (a teenager not involved in the Sophie action but plays a big role in this world which I can't wait to learn more about her). I heart romance books with the narration alternating between both character involved because that way the reader gets both sides of the story and I am nosy and love knowing things! I will be honest and say that I was not impressed with Sophie at the start of the book, and I fully expected her to stay the uptight "Duchess" Jimmy aptly named her. I was pleasantly pleased that she turned into such a Rockstar, able to hold her own in dangerous situations as well as play a seductress for pretend and for real, which I never would have seen coming. I ended up loving Sophie and all that she was, as well as her ability to look at the big picture and make the smart choices at the end. She was well-rounded enough to show girl-power, yet the desire for a partner and to be a part of a team.
Jimmy I loved from the start, but at times questioned his ethics and secrecy. The story starts off with him attempting to rescue an oversexed teen from a out of shape wannabe ninja while making small talk with an uptight lady who refuses to make things easy on him...Sets an interesting scene, right? Jimmy felt his past misdeeds weighing him down and that he would never again be worthwhile, yet everything he did (mostly) was with the best of intentions and a heaping of integrity. Jimmy (or should we call him Aquaman?) was exactly how a hero should be- capable, yet willing to accept help and be fully reasonable if needed and incredibly perceptive (oh and did I mention incredibly rugged and attractive??). I would take a side of Jimmy if he was on the menu...just saying...
I love books with a complete cast of characters, not just the main one (or two), and Tricia provided that. There were sooo many different personalities playing a role in this book that I can't wait to return to this world to catch up with some of my favorite side characters, and maybe have some be main next. We have the seemingly crazy treasure seeking Hippie dad, the crotchety un-grandmotherly grandmother, the former country singer turned bookstore owner, the competent Bar-manager mother hen, the strong and silent younger brother, the complicated April who brought up so many more questions, the jealous tiny ex-girlfriend... just to name a few. The best part was they may have each only been on a scene or two, but they were fully fleshed out people and they played such a big role in the flow of the story. I fully enjoyed the author's writing style and the people she brought to life.
For the most part, the mystery aspect of this story wrapped up, so this could be a standalone book no problem. But there are so many characters that were involved in this book that I would love to read more and the whole April and Albatross discovery warrants more follow-up. So to be fair, the Sophie-Jimmy romance adventure resolved (very happily, if I do say so myself) but the few small(ish) loose ends will keep me thinking until I can get my hands on the next book. As a side note, the romance was just about perfect for me too, where you know what is happening and it's was quite steamy, but not overly descriptive or prolonged, which is just the way I like it (it didn't feel awkward or make me want to skip through it like the over the top romances do). This book snuck up on me and I really enjoyed my experience. This is perfect for anyone who wants an adventure with a side of romance.

Rum Runner starts off with a bang, and the intensity doesn't stop.
Sophie is taking a break from her normal life. She stumbles upon Jimmy Panama. He's relaxed. He's a fun loving, go with the flow, kinda guy. The two end up on an adventure together. I loved these characters. They oozed chemistry and played off of each other wonderfully. The supporting cast was intriguing, and I already have my fingers crossed to be able to read about a few of them!
Rum Runner was a FANTASTIC read! It's exciting and suspenseful. The first chapter baited me. By the second, I was sucked in, unable to put it down. This story is complex, and kept me guessing. I'm so excited to see more come from this author and series!
Recommended to the reader looking for an intense, exciting, romantic suspense.

Reading this book is like going on an adventure. Jimmy and Sophie come from two very different worlds. Sophie is a socailite through and through and in the beginning of the story she finds out her fiance was cheating on her and his new 'girlfriend' claims to be pregnant!
Jimmy is an ex-SEAL and is arrogant, cocky and annoying. Of course, he's also handsome and has a body to die for. He owes Sophie's father a big favor so he is now her keeper. The adventures continue throughout the story.

Be careful what you wish for… you might encounter a lot more that what you wanted!!!

When Sophie Davies-Stone set out to meet her elusive father Mitch, she never expected not only NOT to meet him but being almost kidnapped, arrested for solicitation, pursued by her father's enemies and least of all all the sizzling fireworks with a certain Jimmy Panama, for all accounts her saviour.
Jimmy hates owing favors, but if he is going to pay a debt it would no doubt be for Mad Dog Mitch. He owed his life to him, so, when he asks just to retrieve an item from a hotel room, there was no problem with that. The problems started when the item arrived hanging on the neck of a gorgeous woman who just happens to be Mad Dog’s daughter.
From that moment on, all hell breaks loose.
The book is very well written, it is fast paced, with adventure, gunfights, races, punches, and a very hot chemistry between the main characters.
The characters are a hoot to be around, Jimmy Panama is a very sexy, hot man, ex navy seal with an intelligence and a wit to him that makes him the whole package.
Sophie is the seemingly stuck up snob used to be the good girl with money.
So scramble them together and you get a whole lot of smiling. The way each one gets to know the other, and how they push each others buttons has you smirking almost all the book!
This is the first book I read from Tricia, and I assure you it won't be the last!

There are SO many things that I LOVE about this book.
First of all, the characters in this book are incredibly well-written and well-rounded. They, though flawed, are endearing and engaging and are written in such a way that they leap off the page. Leedom does an incredible job of creating a heroine who *needs* the help of the hero, but is in no way a damsel! (My favorite kind of heroine!) I LOVE that there are moments, in fact, where she ends up saving him. That balance helps to develop a realistic and dynamic relationship between the two main characters where their push and pull is electric and the fire between them is palpable.
Second, the writing and dialogue is witty and clever, creating many laugh out loud and snickering moments. Jimmy is a hoot with his quirky -isms and Southern charm.

First of all, the characters in this book are incredibly well-written and well-rounded. They, though flawed, are endearing and engaging and are written in such a way that they leap off the page. Leedom does an incredible job of creating a heroine who *needs* the help of the hero, but is in no way a damsel! (My favorite kind of heroine!) I LOVE that there are moments, in fact, where she ends up saving him. That balance helps to develop a realistic and dynamic relationship between the two main characters where their push and pull is electric and the fire between them is palpable.
Second, the writing and dialogue is witty and clever, creating many laugh out loud and snickering moments. Jimmy is a hoot with his quirky -isms and Southern charm.

OK the title makes no sense, but this is a fun book. It does remind me of an adventure movie and it also has the pacing and humor. Think Romancing the Stone.
I had some trouble getting into it after a good first chapter. I must admit that I put the book down for a while (around chapter 5 or so) and felt no real compulsion to pick it up again. Alas, I had to write a review so I tried again and it was so much better in the second half. Sophie was quite a stuck-up in the beginning but she changed a lot! And I wish the hero would not be named Jimmy Panama (but what's in a name?).

I really enjoyed reading this book. This story had everything: gunfights, car chases, explosions, and an unexpected romance. I loved the characters and the places they traveled. The author did a wonderful job with this story, mixing action with romance in a way that complemented each other. This story was action packed and had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down once I picked it up.

Tough to review
Jimmy & Sophie — could not be from more different worlds. So much about this book was hard to believe and so much left unresolved. Too many coincidences, needed better editing, everything got wrapped up too neatly at the end. No interest in continuing this series — had to force myself to finish it a few times.

Rum Runner is a fantastic, fun, sexy adventure. It's less a romance and more a witty, sexy action movie. Think Pirates of the Caribbean set in modern times, with a more robust hero.
Jimmy Panama is a former Navy SEAL who owes his buddy Mitch a favor. To repay that favor he agrees to pick up a package for him. Only, when he goes to wait at the hotel for the package Mitch's daughter was supposed to mail, he finds the daughter instead of the package. And that daughter is a beautiful, elegant British woman who ignites something best left unexplored in Jimmy. When Sophie declares she won't give Jimmy the package because she'd rather meet the father she's never before seen, Jimmy decides he's done with owing favors. But when Mitch begs him to get Sophie away from some dangerous men also looking for the package...the adventure begins!
I really like Rum Runner. Sophie is awesome. She's smart and sassy and elegant all at the same time. She's not the damsel in distress that you'd think from first impression. Rather, she's resourceful and strong, more than a match for the former Navy SEAL. Jimmy's not just a former SEAL, though. He's a real, scarred man who's been living with the guilt of his actions for years. That he still feels guilt says a lot about him, a lot GOOD. He may come across as some sort of underhanded bum, but he's far from it. He's in truth, a good man who blames himself for something and needs to be forgiven so he can forgive himself. That Sophie is the one to forgive him gives the two an excellent basis to the relationship that was simmering throughout Rum Runner.
If you're looking for a witty, sexy, funny, action packed story with real, layered characters, look no further than Rum Runner. This world Tricia Leedom has created is addicting, can't wait for Molly and Jimmy's brother's story (Bahama Mama)!

I read the whole thing, but it wasn't that great. Sophie and Jimmy were a very unlikely pair, she was unpredictable and the plot was kind of beyond ridiculous. There is no way they could have been tracked that easily or that quickly. I couldn't get passed the obvious flaws to enjoy the rest of the story.

Five stars does not even open the bidding on Tricia Leedom’s RUM RUNNER. Fifty-three stars, according to me, and I know because I just read the whole damn book including the acknowledgements. Sure, you’re like, “Ha! There’s no way a novel could get fifty-three stars unless you dug up the corpse of Ernest Hemingway, propped him up in a chair with a typewriter and got Jane Austen to edit the manuscript. And even then an old white male chauvinist coot like Papa Hem would barely nudge three stars on a good day.” You may be right about Hem, but you’d be WRONG about RUM RUNNER! Fifty-three effin’ stars!
To start with, the writing is absolutely brilliant, every paragraph meticulously assembled from fresh, organic prose (mostly English but some Spanish) and polished to a high sheen. Great dialogue and clever romantic banter. Other writers will want to steal these lines. Every character, every scene is vividly drawn. The plot skillfully weaves together a number of complex story threads that defy predictability. Yet the whole thing makes a satisfying and rewarding sense and you can exhale at the end. About 20 pages in, I bought the second in the series (BAHAMA MAMA). A few pages from the end, I bought the third (PASSION PUNCH).
All those Cosmo surveys say readers like a book with a sense of humor, and there is a fair amount of humor here. You’d have to dig up the corpses of Groucho Marx and Mark Twain (you may know him as Sam Clemmons), sit them down in a couple of bentwood rockers, give them stinky cigars and wait for the levity to ensue. Well, no, it’s not really that kind of humor. And not like that guy in class who smarts off to the teacher or the guy who makes fart noises in study hall. It’s funny, but not so much as to take the edge off the suspense or detract from the threat of the action. You’ll also find a cigar or two but no worries. You can’t smell them. Feel free to wrinkle your nose at those parts.
But I was really hoping for sharks. I mean adventure, islands, Caribbean, etc., etc.—you’ve got to expect sharks. But sadly there are none, except for a brief mention of Galeocerdo cuvier (the Latin name for tiger shark) early in Chapter 3. Don’t let it get your hopes up. This is the kind of story James Bond only wishes he lived through. Tons of action and suspense and multiple villains of the sort that lightweights like Bond have to deal with one at a time. You will encounter Cessna floatplanes, jet fighters, explosives, Colombian drug lords, kidnappings, machine guns, silencers, switchblades, big wads of cash, sailboats, and some swimming. But alas, no quicksand (sigh). (I had my fingers crossed.) If she’d added quicksand and sharks this would easily be a sixty-seven star read.
Now I know it’s billed as a romantic adventure, but it’s really more ADVENTURE/romance. It is NOT one of those sissy kissing books so your masculinity (if you have some) is safe. The accent is on adventure, though I have to tell you (Spoiler Alert!) there is some kissing. Quite a bit in places. That yearning, tongue-tangling, lip-crushing kind. Not to mention (Trigger Warning!), some rip-snortin’ sex, if you’ve got the patience to wait for it. You Church Lady types will have a lot to go on when you post your prudy-Judy one-star reviews on Amazon. This will definitely NOT become a feature on the Hallmark Channel no matter what Leedom’s agent promises her. You won’t find Tatum Channing playing Jimmy Panama—big chin or not, he’s just too derpy and couldn’t rinse out the stubble brush of a proper adventure hero. And Rachel McAdams as Sophie? C’est absurde! Can she even DO a British accent?
I read a lot of ‘serious’ adventure thrillers and suspense novels—John D. MacDonald, Carl Hiaasen, Tim Hallinan, Tim Dorsey, James Rollins, Lee Child, James Robey, and their ilk. Kissyness aside, this novel fits easily among those. Fans of those authors and action/adventure author Dana Marton and thriller writer Kim Howe will surely get a kick out of this. Best of all, it beats the hell out of WUTHERING HEIGHTS, everything that John Milton wrote, and anything you were required to read in school.

Wow! Best book I've read in a long time! Rum Runner will spin you around, blow your mind and take you on the roller coaster of your life!
Sophie Davis-Stone is a rich high society girl from London, England. But life has been boring with her mother and step-dad and to top it off her fiancé cheated on her...although she's not all that upset about it.
After arriving home from the trip from hell with her ex-fiancé karma is waiting just around the corner. Sophie has received a mysterious letter from the father she has never met and despite instructions otherwise Sophie sets off to find the one man she has wanted to know her entire life.
As Sophie heads off to the United States trouble soon follows. Instead of finding her father, up tight Sophie meets a man she instantly dislikes but who may be the only link to her mysterious father.
Jimmy Panama is ex-Navy Seal who now deals in some seedier things in life which he hides behind his boat touring company in Miami, Florida. When Sophie's father finds out she's in Miami he tasks Jimmy with protecting her from some dangerous men who are after him.
With danger around every corner it will take everything in Jimmy's arsenal to protect the beautiful Brit.

Mafia style books are a guilty pleasure of mine, especially when it contains an off limits character paired with another off limits character. These types of stories usually involve some fierce chemistry, a sizzling attraction, and a type of bond that is unbreakable. These stories usually have moments that could make a person swoon, they also have moments that make you want to chuck your kindle, or reading device of choice, and usually leave you say a few choice words under your breath. Does any of those items above intrigue your or entice you into wanting to read mafia books?
My descriptions above were right on par with this story. I think we might have gotten a little more sass out of the female lead character but that only makes the story that much more fun to read. The chemistry between the two characters was pretty unstoppable. The action was intense and left you sitting a little straighter and reading a little faster.
It was an absolute breeze to visualize the happenings of this story. The author really did a phenomenal job describing what was going on or the scenery that surrounded the characters. It was so simple to close my eyes and picture myself in the story. The visualization flowed just as easily as the wording did and kept on pace with the writing style.
I hope after you’ve read this review, and the blurb of the story of course, that you want to check out this book. I really think the author did a great job writing this story and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and I hope you do too!

Absorbing read
Sophie has never met face to face her father though they have maintained correspondence for years now. For her, her father is just a man who got her mother pregnant and then abandoned them. Even with this, she doesn’t hate him she just wants to meet him. So when she received a letter from her father requesting her to send back a medallion he had sent, she takes a risks and flies there to give it back personally, and finally meet him. Things don't turn out to be so simple as some people are searching for him and are trying to use her as leverage to find him. Fortunately, Jimmy Panama, an ex-Navy Seal and former team member of Mike’s (Sophie’s Father) was sent to retrieve the medallion and in the way protect Sophie.
This was an intense high adventurous romance that transports you to the beaches of Jamaica and Tortola on the search of Sophie’s father while she runs for her life. I read this in almost one sitting, as I just couldn’t put it down and I just did it when obligations came in the way of reading.
Loved, loved the characters
The best part of the book for me was the characters. Each one had such an intense personality that flew from the pages, even the secondary ones.
Sophie is a rich, strong, intelligent and a bit insecure woman that has always wanted to put a face to his father. She hasn’t met him though they have kept short and discontinued contact through letters. Even when she knows that he abandoned them when she was little she just wants to meet him. She has never met someone like Jimmy, without the manners of a high-class man and a big mouth that voices everything he is thinking.
Jimmy Panama is a rough, loyal and a womanizer ex navy seal that has come to live with guilt for something that happened in the past. He doesn’t want to settle down and all his women are the same, temporary.
They are just opposites so you might expect that something implode whenever they are together. It made me laugh and smile all through the book. I ended up loving Jimmy and the changes he goes through.
Another character that made me laugh with her reactions was the grandma, and how she is tough on the outside but not so much in the inside.
Interesting though predictable plot
Even though there is a big mystery of who the person behind everything is, it is something that you can guess almost from the start, for the way the story is told. This could put off some people but the action-packed and the sexy scenes made it a very worth read.

The book takes off in UK and transports you to Florida and then all the way to the beaches of Tortola and Jamaica. I just could picture myself clearly there and feel the sun and hear the ocean. Loved how the author manage to do so.

Promises are like Rainbows
Tricia is a new author for me and to think I almost gave up on her before the 1st chapter ended and I am glad I didn't from the 2nd chapter to the finish was non-stop action and I would have missed out on a great cast of Characters I hope to get to know better in future stories in this new series. Book one is about Jimmy Ostergaard (Panama) & Sophie Davies-Stone (Duchess) Sophie comes to Key West to find her father Mitchell (Mad Dog) Thompson and gets involved in shootings being called a whore kidnappings a great romance with Jimmy and her uppity mother from the UK I just loved this story and have already preordered book 2 Tricia this is a 5 Starr story and I am sorry about almost giving up on this must read for everyone thrives Romantic Suspense. Promises are like Rainbows. Impossible to Keep. Well I am glade I did not give up on this story.

In the first book of the Key West Escape, Sophie Upton-Jones uses the arrival of a mysterious medallion from her father as an excuse to fly from London to Miami to meet the father that she doesn't know. Only when she gets to Miami, she becomes the target of underworld goons and ends up with an even more mysterious man, Jimmy Panama who is a good friend of her father. Together, the two of them race across the Caribbean, one step ahead of the bad guys and several steps behind her father. Along the way, the uptight Sophie falls for the scuzzy looking Jimmy. The conclusion is surprising too.
This debut novel is fast-paced and entertaining with peopled with interesting characters. The descriptions of the places they travel to are detailed and take you there. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

This was such a fun book to read.
The characters were colourful and three dimensional, and I particularly liked that the author didn't shy away from the less likeable traits of both of the lead characters. Sophie IS spoilt; Jimmy IS a rogue, but neither are written in such a way as to make them caricatures of those elements.
The narrative flows organically and the pacing pushes the story along without any lag. The plot line isn't too shabby either, and when taken all together, this is a glorious bit of escapism.
Perfect summer reading material!

I obtained this free e-book from Amazon and I am voluntarily writing a review. Sophia is a English socialite who receives a package from a father she has never met asking her to send this package to a motel room in Miami. Seizing an opportunity to meet her father she decides to deliver the package in person. Expecting to meet her father she is disappointed when Jimmy Panama an ex Navy Seal shows up instead for the package. Unaware that just by being Mitchell Thompson's daughter she now has a price on her head dead or alive and Jimmy is her only hope of ever seeing her father or staying alive long enough to achieve that goal.

The first book in the Key West Escape series by Tricia Leedom. Sophie Davies-Stone, an English Socialite, receives a medallion from her American father with instructions to send it to a hotel in Miami. Sophie has never met her father and hopes to meet him by delivering the item herself. There she meets Jimmy Panama, who saves her from the baddies. Jimmy Panama was a former Navy SEAL under the command of Sophie's father.
It was a fun little romp. It was a bit predictable at times but the author keep the story going and the style was easy to follow.

This story really caught me off guard. I didn't know what I was expecting exactly but I loved that this story kept me guessing at time I didn't know the true motives of the character and I loved the mystery surrounding the whole plot. I hope to find out more about some of the charters and am excited to read more from this author.

I truly loved this book. The female main character, Sophie, was amazing and strong. She is not exactly fearless, but also not so timid. She can handle herself when she needs to and I appreciated that. Jimmy is another story. He is ruthless and strong, with demons in his closet. His demons were turned into something amazing. Jimmy is also hilarious, which added comic relief to the story. The story was written well, and the plot was intriguing. Overall, 10/10

Have you ever read a book that just spoke to you, had everything you love to read all rolled into one novel? This was it for me. Romance, action, adventure, mystery, intrigue, smart and witty writing, a cast of characters so well developed you know them intimately by the end - and of course, a superbly crafted plot. I will most definitely read this one again and again!

I stayed up way to late some nights reading this book. The intriguing story about Jimmy and Sophie had me hooked. This book is full of suspense, silky romance and action adventure that has you coming back for more. I read the it front to back in four days. If that doesn't tell you something about this book then I don't know what will. Tricia Leedom has a way of grasping you and not letting go. I look forward to reading more of her books.
