From the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author of TAPPING THE BILLIONAIRE comes a new three book series of Romantic Comedy standalones.

It’s just a docuseries about your career as an OB/GYN, they said.
It won’t interrupt your life during or after filming, they said.
It is a great opportunity for the hospital and your practice, they said.

Well, they—the television executives who seem intent on ruining my career and personal life with a fair number of creative liberties—lied.
Now I’m stuck dealing with the consequences of believing them.

Instead of being known as Dr. Will Cummings, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s Hospital, I’m now being called Dr. Obscene.

What devotion I’d hoped to earn in respect, I’ve instead received in patients flashing me seductive smiles and flirtatious winks during their exams.

How’s a guy supposed to convince the most perfect woman he’s ever met that he’s not as much of an idiot in real life as he appears to be on camera?

With all of the show’s side effects taking root like parasites, it’s going to take a lot to persuade Melody Marco to be anything more than my new nurse.
But I can’t get her out of my head.

I want her.

Good thing I’ve never been one to back away from a challenge…

Get ready, Melody.

The doctor is in.

HOLY WHOA! I'm a complete bundle of mushy, melty goodness right now. That was amazing! Just incredible. Whew! ::releases deep, contented breath:: OK... First things first, a warning.

This book is OTT in parts. JAW DROPPING, actually. I cringed while covering my eyes and died laughing. The hero's an OB/GYN and some of the things he encounters are whacko. Secondly, this is FICTION. MAKE BELIEVE! I know crazy things happen in real life DR / Patient settings but man, this gets a little OTT. So be warned. It's OTT, BUT utterly amazing. Every second was the ABSOLUTE BEST. I ate up the craziness like it was a piece of chocolate mousse cheesecake (my favorite)! It's HILARIOUS, laugh out loud funny to the point of tears. And the sweetness of Will with Melody ::leans back and groans in delight:: it made my heart feel so full of happiness. So expect crazy fun, seriously hot and sweet romance, because that is exactly what DR. OB is; hilariously sweet, sexy fun!

Ahhh.

So... the moment this book showed up on my Kindle, I started reading. I was ELATED. Max and Monroe are my most favorite duo. I consider them the BEST OF THE BEST when it comes to RomCom. The QUEENS. I'll read whatever they write, whenever they write it. To say I'm a teeny bit obsessive over the characters they create and worlds they build, would be an understatement. I feel like they write my perfect books. The kind of stories that offer me pure escapism and I want to read them all the time.

DR. OB came at the perfect moment. It's funny because I was just telling someone that I wanted to read a series about Doctors. One, where the hero's saving lives and being all alpha. I mean.. What could be hotter than that, right? And then there was Max Monroe, a week later, with a surprise NEW series coming our way. I FREAKED out. Then, when I saw that it was about Will Cummings, Georgia's brother, I had another bookish moment.

THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED TO READ!

And truthfully, I had massive expectations for this story. And you know what? It BLEW THOSE EXPECTATIONS OUT OF THE WATER!

This novel's downright hysterical. I devoured it. Will is the head physician of St. Luke's Obstetrics. He's the star of a brand new Docuseries called The Doctor Is In. He's single, a bit of a player, but he has the biggest heart EVER. He's the ultimate gentleman. If you've read Max Monroe's Bad Boy Billionaires Series, you'll have met him there as Georgia Cummings brother. If not, don't even worry. This is a COMPLETE standalone. Nothing needs to be read before it. Will is a deliciously sweet character. He's real and honest and he made my heart feel full. He's the kind of man that you wish you could have in real life. Funny and charming, thoughtful and charismatic, and an amazing Doctor. He's doing this Docuseries that he's initially excited about. He feels like it's going to spice up his life while bringing notoriety to the hospital and his practice. But when the first episode airs, Will's life is tossed upside down.

Melody Marco is back in New York City, moved in with her parents, and jobless. She's coming off a relationship where all she did was give give give and all her ex did was take take take. Melody's kind of lost, feels unsure of where to go with her life, until her mother Janet takes things into her own hands and gets her an interview at Will's practice (lol). Melody's spent the last several years as a Labor and Delivery nurse.

Will and Melody have the FUNNIEST meet cute I have ever read in my life. LITERALLY. I thought I had read everything. That nothing could shock me. But OMFG. WRONG. WRONG. WRONGGGG! It was hysterical and awkward and I don't even have words for what I read. My stomach hurt from laughing. These two are something else and I was enthralled with them. I loved reading as they formed a friendship that had me swooning and then when it turned into the sweetest romance ever, I was owned.

Truly, I loved every second of reading as they traversed the pitfalls of Will's new found fame, and as Melody tried to figure out what she really wanted out of her life. It was endearing to watch them together and it certainly made me hot and bothered when the steamy scenes came in to play. Melody and Will have the BEST chemistry and it burns up the pages of your kindle.

Overall, this book was a everything. A slam dunk, a home run, a hat trick, a touchdown, a whatever. As you can tell, I LOVED it. I can't stop swooning over it. I want to tell everyone about it. It really was everything I wanted and so much more. I can't say enough good things about this novel and this duo of authors, and I cannot wait until we get the next standalone in this series. I'm addicted. Completely. Whole-heartedly. A top favorite for me.

My traitorous gaze moved down his shoulders to his back and landed on his perfectly firm ass. Sweet baby pigeons in a kayak, my new boss was an Adonis.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Max Monroe are my spirit animals. Their humor is right down my alley; a lot dirty, a little campy, and always on point. When I'm in the mood for a steamy Rom Com, their books are my go to. I know that when I pick up a book of theirs, I'm in for a pee my pants and laugh till I cry sort of humor, and Dr. OBscene most definitely delivered on that end.
...ever since the stupid show had aired that first night, every woman I encountered either hit me or hit on me and nothing in between. It was getting old. I bruised easily, for Christ’s sake.

When the idea was first pitched to him, a documentary TV show based on his successful career as an OB along with 2 other doctor friends seemed like a good idea to Dr. Will Cummings...until it aired. All of sudden, a few clever slicing and editing tricks, and he looks more lascivious than professional. Women either want to jump him or judge him...or both. The show goes from exciting to the bane of his existence in the span of the very first episode and things only get worse. Soon women are sticking phone numbers up their nether regions or bedazzling their hoohas with date invites. There's only so much a man can take before he loses his mind.

Enter Melody Marco, his new nurse and a woman that has no idea who he is or seen his show. Melody is back to NY, living with her parents and licking the wounds of relationships past. Coming off of a recent break up she just wants to get her life together again. When her meddling helpful mother gets her an interview at St. Luke's she begrudgingly goes and surprisingly gets the offer. But nothing prepares her for the effect that her new boss has on her. Sparks fly between these two right away.
She laughed, carefree and easy, and I immediately craved more of it. Had to have it. Wondered how many organs I’d have to sell on the black market to get enough money to pay someone to break in to her apartment and make a video of her doing it on a loop. Okay, that’s creepy. Where the hell did that come from?

Will as far from his TV monicker as he can get. He's sweet and endearingly awkward. He stumbles over his words and he's not at all the self-assured play boy that he's painted to be by the show. Melody can't help but fall for his boyish charm.
You and I, we make love, Mel, even when we’re fucking.”

I have to admit, part of my lower rating is because Will isn't my preference when it comes to heroes. Yes, he's absolutely adorable and he certainly gets ovaries fluttering with his sexy dirty talk, but he struck me as a beta hero. I don't mind it, not at all. But it's also not my go to. He's adorably awkward and sexy, which totally worked for him. But I just couldn't help but feel like something was missing for me.

The story itself was super cute. It was sweet and steamy and a whole lot of funny. I adored all the secondary characters, especially Will and Melody's kooky parents. But at times it was also a little too sweet for me. The conflict at the end didn't quite fit the picture the reader gets painted of Will throughout the book, so it threw me for a loop a little bit. While this may not have been a 5 star read for me it's still one I enjoyed immensely. I'm completely hooked on this series and can't wait for more! I adore Max Monroe's humor and characters and I already know that this series will be an auto-buy for me.

Still good for a laugh...

I needed an easy listen and this one was perfect for a good laugh. It kind of cracks me up that I can literally quote the first paragraph of my review below AGAIN. I picked Dr. OB to take me from stabby to *leave me alone to laugh the bad away...*

Glad that Max Monroe still has that power.

**********

Geez, I needed that…

I started the audio of Dr. OB at the right time on a perfect day in the best possible week. This week has been a bloody SHOCKER!! Everything has gone wrong. Things practically exploded in my face, my boys' schedule was sending me to an early grave and PEOPLE were annoying me. I wish PEOPLE would stop annoying me. Anyways, at my breaking point, with a croak in my throat from holding back the tears, I started my adventure with Dr. Obscene.

The tears came, alright, but they were tears of mirth. I needed this obscene, crass and hilarious story.

It was the weirdest thing, with every bad thing that happened this week, for a little while, I was able to escape into the romantic world of obstetrics. I hear you scoff. Obstetrics??? Romantic??? Well, maybe not romantic but definitely sexy. Oh boy, does that sound bad? Ok, yes, I know that sounds bad and it is kind of bad, but it was also really good. It was all about what Dr OB could bring to the stirrups (wink, wink). Sorry, I couldn’t help myself, this story left my mind in the gutter.

Look, I can see you’re all squirming in your seats thinking about an Obstetrician in a sexy way. I guess, in some way, I can separate it from my reality. See, my Obstetrician/Gynaecologist wears a bow tie and there is NO WAY I would ever, Ever, EVER be thinking of this story when I go for my next ob/gyn visit. Poor male ob/gyn doctors, they need their own HEA too. They can’t help that they look at vaginas all day. We need to be more sympathetic. At least they “get” things better than the average joe and are a wee bit more sympathetic to what a girl suffers (hand to my forehead, woe is me).

I think the narrators do a fabulous job in this one. Yes, I still have a wee problem with blokes trying to do a female character, but, I could look past it because he does one hell of a sexy male character. Both narrators were easy to listen to and I had no problems understanding them or being able to tell when the characters changed. Top marks to the narrators.

I wouldn’t say this was an easy storyline to love. Unfortunately, our dear Dr Will has been around the hospital a time or two (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). He’s paying for his past indiscretions by having his reputation and dedication questioned. When he finally finds a woman who he wants to have a serious relationship with, she’s seeing him in a very obscene way in the worst possible light.

If you don’t take it too seriously and are the kind of person who believes a leopard can change his spots, Dr OB on audio might be perfect for you.

Warning: Listening to the audio of Dr. OB in public may cause extreme embarrassment. You may suffer uncontrollable snorts of laughter, body-shaking spasms of glee and face contortions from trying to hold back smirks and smiles. It is advised that a private, sound-proofed room is found to enjoy the full benefits of this audio.

Playing Doctor!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 💙💚🖤💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: 😳🤬😏🤓

The heroine: Melody Marco - just ended a relationship and her job as a traveling nurse, Melody is now back to living with her parents. Her mother sets her up with an interview for a new OB nurse position for Dr. Cummings, the son of her mother’s therapist.

The Hero(s): Dr. Will Cummings - He grew up as the son of a sex therapist, so when his television debut is on the air, his family celebrates with food like vagina shaped crescent rolls and deviled eggs. Will is surprised by the way the show is portrayed. Rather that a serious medical docu-series, they have him looking less like McDreamy and more like the McSteamy of St. Lukes hospital and he now has the moniker of Dr. OBscene.

The Story: When Melody and Dr. Will meet, he is in the midst of some crazy female backlash from the way he was portrayed in the TV series he was involved in. Will is nervous and uncomfortable with the attention he is getting and fumbles through their hilarious first meeting. Melody is thinking that she got a job at a crazy place, but turns out to be every bit as awkward as Will.

I liked the narration on this book. It was dual POV with a male and female Narrator. Stephanie Wyles has a voice very reminiscent of Candace Cameron Bure who appears in quite a lot of Hallmark romance movies. The part of Will was read by Alexander Cendese who has a deep voice and a self-depreciating manner that is perfect for Dr. Will Cummings.

The story was cute and awkward, sweet and dirty. I enjoyed this so much. There were several scenes that made me laugh out load, especially the scene were they rented a machine used to make men feel the pain of labor contractions. So hilarious! I will be reading more of this series and more from this author for sure.

I was f**ked. Really and truly f**ked. My head fell back in frustration as my inner voice mocked me with the real truth. You aren’t f**ked, Will Cummings. You’re never to be f**ked again.

Talk about an awesome little light hearted read. This author duo's been hit or miss for me but Dr. OB worked, probably because while the humor's most definitely abundant, nothing felt over the top. In other words, just my kind of read.

Hello first book in this new Doctor Trilogy!
A kind of spin-off from the amazing Billionaire Bad Boys series, because Will is the brother from the first books' heroine Georgie! And Nick (Book #3's Dr. Neuro) is the ex and baby-daddy from book #3's Winnie.
You don't need to have read those books, but you definitely should!!! They're hilarious and just perfect!

This new series will feature three hottie docs and their lives during/after they stupidly signed on for a TV DOCuseries!

Our first hero Will was all excited about the first episode. Hoping this bit of fame will make him even more of a hit with the ladies. And while it kind of worked, it's so not what he was imagining.
Because the tv-network made him look horrible. Well, not his looks, he's still the sexy guy he always was, but his actions and interviews were so horribly twisted! People now think he's a .... well, a disgusting flirt and worse - which is so not a good thing for a doctor for ladies parts!
They even have a name for him: Doctor Obscene!!!
Enter Melody.
She's his new nurse and the most beautiful thing he's ever seen.
And the only normal person during this weird time.
But how can she want to be with him? Definitely not the him that's shown on TV!
Will she give him a chance to get to know the real Will?
Melody is not scared away easily!
But she's also not sure that being a nurse is what she wants to do for the rest of her life!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH MELODY & WILL?
WILL THERE BE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER???
BUY THE BOOK TO FIND OUT! ☺

EEEEEEEP! Will!!!

I was so scared when the Billionaire series ended! Afraid that MM couldn't come up with something equally amazing, but they did.
First you might think ... huh? Doctor romances? Didn't they die 25 years ago (if they were ever a thing at all)? Or at least they should have died as soon as Derek Sheperd died? But nope, they are SO not dead! They're back! All fresh and crispy and hilarious and serious and adorable and sexy and grrrrrr just... amazing!
A book can't be anything but amazing when you hear from Kline AND THATCH in the first chapters and a lot more during the book!!! (Again I have to remind everyone who hasn't read them, to READ the Billionaire series!!!)

Will is so adorable. He's your typical cocky doctor. A guy who knows he's good-looking and talented.
But he's also so sweet and kind and adorable (especially with his little niece!) and scared and shy and awkward. And he fits just perfectly with our darling Melody! Who is kind of all those things too!
And they're both so horribly attracted to each other!
But with everything that happened in both their lives it will not be easy to start something serious now.
But of course we're trying!!!!
And the reader has the most amazing time watching them fight for their Happy End!

DR. OB was the most amazing doc-romance! Hilarious, sexy, adorable - just perfect!Please run to your nearest amazon for your own Will, because this one is MINE! MIIIIINNNEEEEE!!!! ☺

Now I can't wait to read Scott's book! He's the chief of ER!

4 Where Was The Reality In This Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
It always is in the fine print...you know...that section so full of legalese ... no one has the patience or smarts to really read it. Not even a Hospital Administrator...At least that was the excuse they gave Dr. Will Cummings when he saw the first episode of the reality show featuring his practice. He had been sold a bill of goods that it would give his practice the push and exposure it needed to flourish.

Instead the series was going to ruin his clean, professional reputation and have him regarded as Doctor Porn...

Yup, all the filming and following him around during his rounds at the hospital were cut to make him a leering, flirting, up for a quickies with the nurses Doc. Terrific...and now the Head of the Hospital says they can't do anything to stop it from airing and they also won't guarantee he will be a doctor in good standings if they get too many complaints.

Melody Marco is on the hunt for a job. She is an OB/GYN nurse who had to move back in with her parents in New York City. She broke up with her ex and is looking to regroup. Her mother informed her she has arranged an interview with an OB for her. Yes, it is at 8AM... but then again, beggars can't be choosers...

Melody is late, traffic was more complex than she remembered. She apologizes to the office manager and then one of the first questions the manager proceeds to ask is if she watches TV...

Huh...what does that have to do with pregnant patients...She is also asked if she would like to have access to the Dr.'s personal number ... if she would need it at any time...

Melody thinks this is the weirdest interview she has ever had...She answers, No I would use the service to contact him if need be...

Bam! Before she can get the words out of her mouth, the manager has given her the position and hands her a mountain of new hire paperwork.

It seems all the other applicants were only interested in hooking up with the sexy Dr. from TV...

Melody starts her first day having to deal with a number of things...A Bitchy Head Office Nurse who is out to get her for no reason, a cup of coffee which spills all over her...causing her white blouse to become see through...Oh, and the first meeting of this handsome Dr. who she will be working with...who seems to be chiseled out of marble and a substitute for any Greek God.

This is a perfect set up to a terrific read. It has everything you could want to entertain you. There is wonderful banter, chemistry off the charts- yes I said that - and secondary characters that are fully formed and you want to bitch slap.

There was also more than just the sexy times and fun. There was the idea of healthcare for all and how women often don't get the prenatal care they need.

Not everything is rosy... this couple has their hiccups...but all in all, things worked and I am ready for the next installment of the series.

~~~~~ Before Reading ~~~~~
Ok, I Admit it...
I saw this pop up on my feed....
Then saw it was done by Max Monroe...
Who's Max Monroe you may ask...
Well, it's a combination of two accomplished authors ....
Using this name to write a bunch of Naughty, Sexy, Witty Books...
Now they are using the idea of a Docuseries...
Following a OB during his day...
The Hospital signed off but failed to protect the content...
Oh, you know what happens next...
Nothing is real, everything is twisted and our OB is furious...
Now he is known for being Cheesy and Leering, not competent...
And with his New Nurse writing him off as a LOSER...
What's to become of...
OH.MY.GOD!OH.MY.GOD!OH.MY.GOD!OH.MY.GOD THE.DOCTOR.IS.FINALLY.IN!!!
I finished this book like some gaga but there's no way I'm finished over this story!!! Max Monroe, damn you duo for writing yet another book that fed my hungry soul over my penchant for romantic comedies and swoony characters!! This book, Oh Lordy, Dr. OB is just a way to brighten up my gloomy day! I was so enamored over this book that right fucking now I'm still on a high. Shit just got fucking real because I just had an addition to my addiction and right now, it's your new series. Wooop! You slayed this Max Monroe and I hate you but love you all the same because you are bad for my health and I'll be surprised I wont get fired from work today!
Swear, this book exceeded my expectations. I was so sad when Billionaire Bad Boy series ended and quite afraid to start a new one from this duo because to be real, I love that series so much I don't think it will be topped with a new one. I should have known better, because this duo is just brilliant for yet delivering this first book in yet another series. And doctors nonetheless??? And a hot doctor for that matter?? Damn! Be still my beating heart! From that cover to the teasers, I cannot help myself from drooling and get excited to start this new book. Afraid at first? Yes I am. But the moment I read the book, everything just faded and I was lost into the bubble of Dr.Will and Nurse Melody. I was so engrossed in the book that nothing became more important than reading the book and devouring it. Lord! This book just STOLE and OWNED my heart.
The moment I started reading the book, man I cannot out it down. I was pulled right into the story and I love it to bits of pieces! I was blown away over this story because even with the OTT scenes, I cannot deny myself I ]enjoyed reading it. From the characters that is so easy to love and adore, to the story so easy to read it's so engaging, and of course the whole gang present, this is just what I needed! I cannot even remember the number of times I was laughing so hard I was afraid I might pee becuase there is really no other way to read this book. No matter how hard I try to keep myself from laughing out loud, I just can't. Damn I even have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard, my jaw even hurts. It was hilarity at it's finest!
And there's more!!! My ovary just exploded over Will's sweetness. Yes, I needed an OB/GYNE in my life while reading and after reading this so I call DIBS on Will Cummings. I don't think there's no one qualified to hep me over my problem except him and him alone because for fucks sake HE.IS.THE.CULPRITof my soaked knickers and myexploded ovaries! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, he's got that power! In as much as I wanna say I'm being way over so in love with him I don't care, he's portrayed as such and he was delivered as such. Who am I to complain? His character portrayal is just perfect and add up his equally adorable nurse who can be my soul sister and I am a goner!!! Yes, this two is just perfect for each other. Their sweetness overload, banters and sizzling romance is to die for. These two really... I can't even! And then another more.. who would have thought I cried over them? Yeah.. Yeah.. call me crazy but I was so into the emotions of this book that I cried those fat tears!!! Yay me!!!
Overall, I FUCKING LOVE THIS BOOK! Start to finish is worth every read and I could not ask for more except I needed my next Max Monroe fix. Damn! This duo really do not disappoint and really aimed to deliver. Now with this first book in the brand new series, I highly recommend it. Not just to get your fix but to fully enjoy yet another wild and crazy ride of this duo's artistry woven with their excellent and amazing words.
Kudos!
This one was a sweet & comfortable story with nearly no "major" dramas until the final conflict. Rest assured, to counter balance all that non-drama sweetness; there were hilarious characters and scenes, hot nookie and cute banter to keep my interests flowing and the pages turning. The H was the nicest, sweetest, most easy going guy that you would want your daughter marrying, and the h didn't piss me off until the final conflict. #JewelsWinning.
I would say that this is my favourite story from this author/duo so far, and I can't wait to see what else they have planned in this spinoff series.
Told in dual POV and is a standalone story, as well as spinoff to the Tapping the Billionaire series (H is Georgina's brother -from book #1). Even though he's introduced and mentioned throughout the Billionaire series; you can totally read this one without having to read anything else - unless you want to, of course. Highly recommended to fans of this author and lovers of sweet an easy reads. Also recommended to those who love and miss the gang from the Billionaire series because they all make a few appearances. Comes with HEA at the end.
5 I SEE FOREVER STARS!!!
The Doctor is in! OMG. This book! I feel hot, sweaty, shaky and out of breath just thinking about this story! My heart and body did all of the things! All of them. Multiple times!
This is only the second book I have read from Max Monroe and I can tell you, I need to read ALL OF THEIR stories. Like. Now. Dr. OB kept me reading all day. I started off reading on the treadmill. That probably wasn't such a good idea because HELLO sexy times! I almost fell off a few times. The scenes between Melody and Will had me constantly in a puddle of lust. I moaned repeatedly. So. Damn. Hot. I couldn't put this story down. I'm so sad it's over!
Will. Oh my god. This man. He is everything. An Adonis of epic proportions. He's sweet, kind and charming and so freaking sexy I thought I'd die. Seriously. Not only did I want to play doctor with him, I wanted to marry him. And holy hell, he is a dirty talker. MY WEAKNESS. Between the naughty things and the loving things he would say to Melody, god he is just perfect. I found myself clutching my heart so many times. I swear Dr. Cummings turned my insides to liquid.
The banter between Melody and Will had me smiling and giddy and just so happy I thought I was going to burst! Their relationship had me cheering them on the whole time. They just made me feel all squishy and happy! One of my favourite couples ever! There was a moment, more than one actually, I wanted to throw my kindle. I may have even cried. Not gonna lie. Told you. My heart, it really did do all of the things!
The bromance. Oh. God. The bromance. It was ON POINT. I died of laughter. So fun! Again, I was constantly smiling. Hard. The laugh out loud moments with their families were EPIC. I adored them so much. They are so quirky and crazy and hilarious! God, I was embarrassed for both Melody and Will. But in the best way possible. I laughed so hard I thought my face was going to break! So entertaining! I really wanted to be a part of their families.
Pure and unadulterated COMEDIC CRACK!
No one makes me laugh and swoon so HARD quite like the writing duo, that is Max Monroe. Fresh, sexy, hilarious, and smart writing is what I've come to expect from this dynamic duo, and HOT DAMN, they did NOT disappoint with DR. OB! Scorching hot chemistry and a ridiculous amount of hilarity on every page, makes book one in this HOT new series, a SLAM DUNK!
This gut-busting romantic comedy filled me with so much JOY and so much LAUGHTER, that I felt like I was on cloud nine the entire way through! I happily settled into my HAPPY PLACE, and nothing else existed but these characters, because THEY ARE EVERYTHING! DR. OB was the absolute PERFECT mix of romance and comedy, gracing us with TONS of comedically awkward moments and toe-curling sexy times. There is NO TURNING BACK once you pick up this UNPUTDOWNABLE read!
Will and Melody were PERFECT! These lovable and engaging characters had me in tears from laughing so hard. I had to take moments every now and then, to compose myself. There is so much BLUSHING and SWOONING and LAUGHING to be had with this story, and I cannot wait for everyone to immerse themselves into this AMAZING romance!
OH! And if you thought you've heard the last of Kline, Georgia, Thatch, Cassie, Wes, and Winnie, think again! These characters CAN'T BE STOPPED and trust me when I say that you will fall in love ALL OVER AGAIN!
So, by the end of this book, you will be YEARNING for more, I guarantee it! Dr. Will Cummings will charm your panties off! He will have you blushing like a complete LOON! He will have you HOOKED on every single word! THE DOCTOR IS IN alright, and he is taking NO PRISONERS! Be prepared to FALL and FALL HARD for Will and Melody, this series, and some pretty spectacular writing! I can't say enough AMAZING things about Max Monroe. Reading DR. OB has made me want to read nothing else, but Romantic Comedy for the foreseeable future. Bring on the next HOT DOC!
3,5 stars. Do not get me wrong, on one hand I loved it, on the other I had a thought: what did they burn while writing it?
I have a love/hate relationship with it. Even though I started to like it and laughed more than once I could not take it 100% seriously afterwards. And maybe you do not have to. Actually it depends on what you are looking for at the moment.
We met Dr. Will Cummings in TAPPING THE BILLIONAIRE since he is the brother of Georgia Cummings. Of course we had already met his parents because they are hilarious in a very inappropriate way and his friends are the same people from the BILLIONAIRE BAD BOY series, so you can already guess that this is a funny book. I liked Will’s story but I do need to say it wasn’t quite as good as the other books.
Don’t get me wrong all of the characters were great and it is sexy & funny but somehow there was just something lacking for me. Of course I will be reading the next book in this series!
Will is the top OBGYN at St. Luke's hospital and was offered to be on a docu-series style show, along with two other doctors of different specialties. His hopes were that the show could be helpful to the hospital. I think it's not shocking to say after some creative editing, the show didn't end up exactly how he had expected. Watchers either hate him, or love him, and the antics that ensue because of that are hilarious!
Melody is at one of those weird places in life. Where you've been living one way for so long, but it isn't just right... so you abandon it all and start fresh. After ending a long term relationship and leaving her nursing job, she's back in New York from Portland and she's kind of at a stand still. Living with her parents, being unsure about what her future will be. Until she applies for a job at Will's OBGYN practice. That's when everything starts to slowly change.
So first off I would just like to say that this story was all encompassing and had every single thing a contemporary romantic comedy should have. It made me laugh. It made me tear up. It was hot and steamy, and the story was just plain good. Sometimes I have a hard time connecting with characters when their story isn't overtly emotional, but that wasn't the case with Will and Melody. Max Monroe writes them in such a way it's easy to invest in their story without the addition of OTT angst or drama! When they fall in love you want to watch, it's that sweet. Will is so hot and swoony, and Mel is so smart and sassy! Absolutely love them together.
If you read the BBB series then you're in for a treat. You get updates with some of your favorite characters from there, and I love how they were weaved into the story. It felt natural and not forced! Also the new side characters in this story were pretty great. I mean who doesn't know a Marlene? Just pray you aren't the Marlene of your workplace!
This was such a great read! So well written, and had me interested in what would happen until the very last page! I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys low angst romantic comedy! Plus I can't wait to read about the next doctor! ;)
Anyone who has read a Max Monroe novel knows they are in store for heat, humor and heart! Dr. Ob was all this and more! It was such a wonderful start to a new series and I could not get enough! Dr. Will Cummings was hysterical and I absolutely loved his chemistry with Melody. This was another amazing read from the dynamic duo and I can not wait for more!
Those of us who have read the Billionaire series will recognize Will as Georgia's brother from Tapping the Billionaire. Now it's a couple of years later and we find that Will has signed up for a docu-series about his exciting career as leading OB/GYN at his practice and hospital. But unfortunately, his new TV show is less informative and educational and more sensationalized and salacious. So what's a good guy like Will to do when the world goes to hell in a handbasket? Ooh... maybe just maybe meet his perfect dream girl in the form of his new head nurse, Melody Marco. And boy did he deliver with the fireworks!
I loved Melody and Will together. He was cute and sexy and so endearing and she was just the perfect amount of refreshing honesty and blunt humor. I really loved their banter and chemistry and how she saw Will as he truly was vs. the way he was portrayed. This was such a lovely low angst novel! All in all this was a fantastic start to a new series and I look forward to reading more from this author duo in the future. 4 stars! ~Ratula
Well, let me tell you a little story… My dad had a heart attack about 5 years ago (he’s FINE) and the cardiologist on duty was young and drop dead gorgeous. My mother, my sister and I fought over who got to be with Dad when it was time for rounds. I won most of the time because I was the calmest. Lucky girl that I was, because not only was the doctor H.O.T. so was his assistant. For 6 days, my morning started with a quick hello to Dad and 15-20 minutes of one-on-one time with this truly talented, lovely, amazing physician and his assistant. Hmm… guess that may be where my love for reading ménage started, but I digress.
So believe me, I understand the draw and the desire to follow around a young, smart, sexy doctor all day, every day to learn about how he treats his patients, candid thoughts and moments, etc. But, I’ve also watched my fair share of “reality TV” and know that what’s presented on the small screen is a twisted and turned vision of said reality. Too bad Dr. Will Cummings didn’t quite know enough about what a “docu series” could get away with and the creative liberties they’d take otherwise he’d never have agreed to be Dr. OB or the full title… Dr. OBscene.
Will is fit to be tied and convinced his reputation is ruined… and now a whole slew of new patients are showing up… err… prepared for their appointments. Will is now dealing with flirty winks and other dirty deeds, just when he’s trying to convince one Melody Marco he’s not the person that this show represents. But will the reality of the show outweigh what Melody sees with her own eyes and feels with her own heart?
Sigh. Give me a minute here. I need to gather my thoughts a bit. I love the Max Monroe writing team for their ability to make me laugh, swoon and sigh. Dr. OB was all that and more. Will is a known player, and Melody is a woman who’s been hurt by deceit in the past. She’s not going to tolerate anything but the truth, but damn, the docu series twists and turns everything. I love seeing Will interact with Melody—he brings a lightness to her serious side. Will and Melody are fun, sexy, snarky and just perfect for each other. I couldn’t help but root for Will and Melody to work out their own reality—not the screwed up one the show presented. It was a fun, messy, wild ride. Can’t wait for Dr. Shepard’s turn next in Dr. ER. ~ Missy, 4 stars
The writing duality that is Max Monroe radiates epicness in this brand-new romantic comedy series!
Dr. OB was SMASHING, and everything I've come to expect and MORE from these two gifted authors! Fun, flirtatious, beyond humorous, and with just the perfect about of crazy, this book was just what the doctor ordered!
This story was thoroughly entertaining! The dual-POV was perfect at conveying each character's thoughts, emotions, and reactions to what life threw their way. And believe me, it was A LOT! Will and Melody's dynamic together was like a bolt of lightning - quick, charged, and full of heat. They proved time and again that their awkward encounters only brought them closer together, and honestly, it was a blast to read about. No one is perfect, which these two clearly demonstrated throughout the entire story. Both Will and Melody had their own issues in regards to navigating their relationship, and they seemed to melt away when they were together. But with misunderstandings and lack of communication comes the inevitably downfall and broken hearts. Being in the public eye, and insecurities can make any couple question what it is they truly want.
Dr. OB was witty, charming, and full of naughty innuendos and dirty talk! Just like Max Monroe's Billionaire Bad Boys series, this new series brings lots of laughs, with equal parts romance and intrigue. I can't wait for what's next in the St. Luke's Docuseries....Dr. OB was O-M-G, but I have a feeling Dr. ER is going to be even better (if that's even possible)!
5 stars!
Surprisingly, I loved this book! Outrageously funny with some really hot steamy scenes- this book was a lot of fun. It's light and funny with low angst but there was a scene that made me angry at the H but not enough to ruin the book for me. I honestly really enjoyed this one and the audiobook was really enjoyable.
4.5 Fantastic Stars!
What a fun read this one was! I loved the sexy banter, the little love notes on the tongue depressors, the crazy antics from the characters from the Bad Boy Billionaire’s series!
Will Cummings is 34, gorgeous, talented and is the head of the Ob/Gyn department at St. Luke’s hospital. Along with two other doctors, he is featured in a documentary series called The Doctor Is In. The hospital thought it would be good PR and would focus on the talent of their employees. Only the producers have sliced and diced what they filmed and Will looks like a playboy that can’t stop flirting with the staff and his own patients. It’s gotten so bad that he wears a baseball cap to hide his face out in public.
I slept around. I did it with people I worked with and didn’t, and I did it often. I met women in bars, took them home, slept with them and never spoke to them again. I wasn’t exactly a pillar of society.
His practice is getting tons of new patients. One that bedazzle their private parts with crystals spelling out words asking him for a date. But this one takes the cake-she put a note with her phone number in her naughty bit and when he went to do a Pap test he found the little gem hidden in her treasure box!
Inside of her vagina, people.
Melody is back living with her parents. She’s sleeping in the room that her mother uses to exercise and has lots of company with her packed boxes. She broke up with her boyfriend, quit her job and moved back to New York. She’s an L and D nurse but isn’t sure that’s what she wants to do. She gave and gave to her boyfriend and he took and took in return. She didn’t figure that she would end up back in her parents’ house at this point in her life. Not to mention her mother is friends with Will’s mom and arranged an interview for a position in his office.
To make a long story short, my life outlook was grim-twenty-nine years old, and I had officially moved back home into my parent’s apartment. I was newly single, had no job, and would be spending my nights sleeping between a treadmill and a thigh master.
To say Melody is god smacked when she meets Will is an understatement.
Sweet baby pigeons in a kayak, my new boss was an Adonis. I wonder what he looks like naked. That perfect ass…those wide shoulders…his trim hips that no doubt hold that sexy as hell V…
He’s so mesmerized by her that he offers to shake her hand just after he pulled in out of his patient’s vagina. Yeah, it’s gloved but ewww…. He couldn’t be more humiliated but that’s not stopping him from wanting Mel. She’s never even seen the show he’s on-which is one more plus in the Melody column as far as Will is concerned.
The bulk of the story is the two of them fighting their growing feelings for each other. Of course the three couples from the first series are as nuts as ever and don’t exactly help things. The women determined to get Will’s attention are hard for Melody to accept. Is it too much for her to handle? Trust is important, can she trust Will and has he changed his player ways.
This is a fantastic start to this new series! If I had a doctor like Will I wouldn’t be so reluctant to hand over my copay!
Once someone left their mark on your heart, it was permanent. It wasn’t something that would disappear.
Dr OB: St Lukes Docuseries Book 1 by Max Monroe
Narrated by: Stephanie Wyles, Alexander Cendese
Contemporary Romance. Stands Alone but related to others.
4.5 stars
I wish I had the time to read every single Max Monroe book now (I plan on trying!), because honestly, they are my PERFECT reads. Dr. OB by Max Monroe is the first in a new romantic comedy series featuring a reality show about Doctors. It’s loosely related to the Billionaire Bad Boy series with crossover characters, but you absolutely don’t have to read them first.
Melody Marcos was a labor and delivery nurse on the west coast. Unemployed and fresh out of a long-term relationship, she has moved home to NY to start fresh. Until she gets that start, she is living with her meddling parents.
"To make a long story short, my life outlook was grim-twenty-nine years old, and I had officially moved back home into my parent’s apartment. I was newly single, had no job, and would be spending my nights sleeping between a treadmill and a thigh master."
Meddling mom arranges Melody an interview at an OBGYN office in New York. While Melody isn’t yet sure that’s what she wants to do, she shows for the interview anyway. Very late, and very disheveled.
Dr. Will Cummings is a handsome, single OBGYN. Thinking it might help him score with the ladies, he agrees to be in a docudrama about Doctors. The problem is, after editing, Will looks like a total gyno-perv, earning the nickname “Dr. OBscene”.
"Since the stupid show had aired that first night, every woman I encountered either hit me or hit on me, and nothing in between."
Nurses are applying just to stalk the handsome Doctor, and patients are spreading their legs for him hoping for way more than a pap smear. He is the hottest gossip topic in town. But Melody wasn’t aware of the show, and never heard of him, so she was perfect for the job.
Except the immediate attraction between them couldn’t be denied.
"My traitorous gaze moved down his shoulders to his back and landed on his perfectly firm ass. Sweet baby pigeons in a kayak, my new boss was an Adonis. I wonder what he looks like naked."
Their first meet may have been one of the FUNNIEST and most awkward I have read. I was totally snort-laughing out loud. I loved BOTH of the characters. They had amazing banter and dirty talk. It was HOT, it was SEXY, it was FUNNY, it was SWOONY and he was an awesome DIRTY TALKER. Though Will wasn’t quite as alpha as some of the books I read, I really loved him. He was realistic alpha instead of jerky alpha who is  sexy in books, but not-so-sexy in real life.
Likes:
•I laughed out loud several times.
•Vagina jokes are funny no matter what, they just are.
•I loved Melody despite a stupid moment at the beginning (who forgets a bra?).
•So well written and well paced.
•The sex scenes were just dirty enough to be totally HOT, but they never overpowered the story or humor.
•The patients made me laugh.
•Unique and different.
•Her little "holy crap" substitutes.
Dislikes:
•The conflict at the end that was caused by a lie.
The Narration:
WooHoo! Different narrators! And I loved them BOTH! Alexander Cendese was very sexy and reminded me of Sebastian York but not the same. Stephanie Wyles was young and a little ditzy sounding which was perfect for the part. I couldn’t have wished for better narration! I absolutely think it enhanced the story.
The Down & Dirty:
The Max Monroe duo certainly know how to write everything I love in a book. Sexy, smart, funny, adorable, dirty, well written and perfectly paced, Dr. OB was a joy to listen to. The narration was fresh and new to me, and I can’t wait to pick up more in this series or any more from this dynamic duo!
Rating: 4.5 Stars+, 4.5 Heat, 5 Narration
Not rating as I did not finish this one and this isn't really a review, just my self notes in case I ever decide to pick this one up again.
Sorry but I only made it 20% in and I dislike the tstl h and the H is such a whiney guy! The drama and angst over his docuseries was just meh. The characters have zero chemistry and the "humor" was more humiliating and cringe worthy than laugh out loud.
I hate DNFing but I have a ton of books waiting and this felt like too much a waste to continue.
So... the hero was cute, not necessarily swoonworthy, but cute. The way the show portrayed him kind of ruined my view of him, to be honest. And that conflict at the end... it didn't sit well with me. The fact that he lied, and his explanation for it left a lot to be desired. Not enough to dislike him, but enough to keep me from loving him.
