I don't mind that the hero wasn't celibate, they were not together or married at that time. So for me everythin' was okay. Guess my only complaint was the sex. There's alot in here and I kinda skimmed through it. Don't get me wrong, it was hot AF but it was too much it bore me to death! The plot was there, the hero is bitter because the heroine picked her family over him. Years later, he's back for vengeance! The rest was sex, sex, sex, retribution, sex yada yada!.
So yeah. 3 star for me!

I keep imagining Dwayne Johnson as Rock. Partly because of the title & the cover photo (which I might add - is the best cover photo of JS i've ever seen).
Damn you JS for using my love for Dwayne Johnson to lure me to reading your book! And your Rock was a douche! But I pushed thru and finished the book bec. I didn't want to leave Dwayne Johnson behind. Dammit. I'm a sucker, yes I know.

Ignoring that she did it to save his ass, also the fact that he screwed every female in vicinity, he decides to take revenge by BDSM-forceful breeding-angry fucking-choking-anal-spanking etc etc, while having angry tantrums, as the heroine looks on with gooey eyes filled with submissive love.

Call me stupid or naive or whatever (live with it), but I absolutely hate people who can say "I loved you all of these years even though I slept with all those women" (cue eye-roll) not word for word but you get the drift...

Rock and Ashley were together until her father made threats and she ended their relationship to protect him and his father from harm. Rock assumed she chose her family over him and has been bitter ever since. So for 5 years he worked hard to achieve greatness, only returning when he had the power to snatch her father's company from right out under him. He also plans to reclaim Ashley for him from the man she's now supposed to marry.
I hadn't read a JS book in a long while so somehow I'd forgotten how her books never have an intro phase of getting to know the characters. Meaning her books start in the middle of the drama. This meant I had trouble connecting with the characters and the pacing was crazy fast. This story was pure smut and barely any plot at all. Of course the JS staple was present (12 inch dong). Didn't much like how Rock spoke to Ashley especially during the flashbacks of how they met. Ashley barely had any personality at all. Overall this was a quick read in between series and I was glad when the story ended.

This is book one in the Vengeful Husbands series by Jordan Silver. Rock Pierce is 32 years old and a very successful businessman. Five years ago the unthinkable happened and Rock fell in love with Ashley. She was only eighteen when she met Rock and they both fell hard for each other until her Father ruined everything. It's now five years later and Rock is back in his hometown and ready to enact his revenge and he's starting with Ashley's Father. Some people might not like Rock but I loved him and while I did feel sorry for Ashley I think she should have had a backbone five years ago or at least explained things to Rock.

Can you have too much hotness?
I have to say I love Jordan Silver, I love her extreme alpha males, I love her raunchy dirty talk, I love her raw rough sex.
With that being said I think this book just had way too much sex scenes. Were they hot? Yes. Were they raw and raunchy? Yes. My complaint is too much and too repetitive. If your going to have this much sex in a book at least change it up a bit, maybe some public sex, car sex or ally sex. I don't know, something other than the same old, same old bedroom antics. So because of this I give a 3.5 star rating.

Rock had double standards for Ashley's faithfulness during the years they were separated. Ashley was beyond a limp noodle - she had no personality. I didn't like either MC. There was no relationship development.

This was basically an erotica lol. It’s a OTT ridiculous kinda story with a H whose hung with a 12 inch dick that he use to push into her cervix 😳🤣🤣 honestly I didn’t even mind the not so good writing, or the storyline that im sure what somewhere I’m buried in there under all the dicking down this h got lol 😂 🤣
What I remember: The H is the ex boyfriend of the h who was run outta town by the heroines sad for some reason. He comes back as a rich dude of course and the h comes to him for help with money or something. So of course for his help he wants her. JS book always have that element of dominance/submission but this was more to me especially with the collar and choking. Not mad about that tho.

This was super spicy and dirty - that's basically the plot, which I don't mind. The breeding kink was hot. For those, I'd give it 4⭐️.
My problems were the super awkward terminology choices that were cringe af. (Poop shoot, f*ck meat, 🍆 slime. Slime? 😭) These took me way out of it to be honest. One phrase used a couple of times (worded a bit differently but the same) was "don't say one fuck" instead of "don't say one word." Just weird and didn't make sense in my opinion but okay. Take all that stuff out and it would have been better but maybe some people are into that style of dirty talk/dirty thoughts. Not my jam.

Okay, I remember reading this for the first time right after it was published. I usually love Ms. Silver’s work so I will KU it and if it’s good, I’ll buy it. I must have liked it enough to purchase this one, but I just reread it and it needed more plot. Plus I think this one has a whipping with a belt, which is abuse in my opinion. There is some very minor OW stuff that was so pathetic, it should have been deleted.

This was my first Jordan Silver book and I very much enjoyed it. Started with hot sex and ended with hot sex. Just enough story to keep it interesting and had a knight in shinning armor overlay. I'd read more.

This plot had so much more potential. It wasn't enough. If I were to skim through for the plot and drama I would end up not reading 95% of the book. I like the JS style of alpha/protector which is why I've read most of books but this was a bit much.

I kind of wish this book had more plot. It has a tiny little plot.. and lots and lots of smut. Which isn't a bad thing if that is what your looking for in your reading session. It has a lot of kinky smut. Its good smut also which is a big plus. Just wish it had a little more plot to go with it.
