I picked this teaser up because we were giving it away free at the bookstore I work at. I wasn't intending to read the whole thing, just to read enough to get the gist so I could tell customers a little about it if they asked. It sucked me in though, and I finished it pretty quick. It is simple, and fast-paced. Neat and highly enjoyable.
Sadly, it did not have its desired effect and convince me to go on to buy the real books. Why? Because, for me, the best part of the story was Abbie, and it looks to me as though she's not an integral part of the others. So here's hoping Abbie gets her own, full-length book. Then, Mr Elliott, you will have my full attention.
