Edgar is dead. His life (death) is boring. He is trapped in his old house and unable to move on from its confines. He is all alone and routinely thinks about his wife who passed on several years before his own demise. He doesn't know what to do, and there is no one there for him. After his house is sold to a young couple, he discovers that their three-year-old daughter can see, hear, and speak to him. They form a friendship around a passion that they both share. Still, he misses his beloved wife and wants to move on to find and be with her again, and it's not until a chance occurrence that he discovers how to do just that.
As somebody who is interested in the supernatural, it was interesting to see how the author decided to do his take on unfinished business. Such a little thing causes him to lose then regain all the senses he was missing once he got into the rut of deaths monotony!
