An office is the last place you’d expect to find me. I don’t do suits. I don’t do meetings. I work with a gun, not a pen. So why am I sitting here again, in my brother’s million dollar office? Because of a girl in a skirt. Why else? Shelby is that one girl who stands out in a crowd. Her legs, perched in those expensive pumps, make me fantasize about pumping her! Her breasts, pressed tight against her perfect silk blouse, are begging to be released. I came here to get a job done. Now the only thing I can think about doing is her. The only problem? I’m not her type. She likes professional, tailored, business men. The kind who wear suits, make big deals, and run companies. Men like my brother. I won’t say I’m polishing up my resumé, but I do have a plan to impress her. I’ll show her I can use a pen, then I’ll show her what it’s like when I shoot my gun! She can make up her own mind which she prefers. This full-length novel includes all 5 volumes of The Society plus special bonus content.

Interesting

This series had tons of drama. Was really dramatic with the characters. Thought some parts sucked but overall the books turned out with a happy ending.

Shelby's So Smart📑, But Yet So Stupid🎃

Shelby💋👗, book smart but naive as to the ways of unscrupulous people, gets mixed up with two extremely handsome Alpha men🐺. One is Tyler🐺🍌🌋💪, a young man from her hometown, from her same high school. He's the black sheep of his family, his older brother, Christian🐺, is actually her boss. Tyler never went to college, he has been making his living in the streets, making deliveries of questionable items. Christian gets him to take an assistant job at his firm to clean up his image. Tyler🐺🍌🌋💓💪 is a good man at heart💓, and he wants Shelby forever.
The other man, Anthony👹, is the son of one if the owners of the business, Mr Abernathy. Anthony's a psychopath👹, only interested in taking Shelby💋👗 from Tyler 🐺🍌🌋, because he can , because she's just a prize🏆 to him. He knows taking her will hurt Tyler. He hates Tyler because his father has been using Tyler to make probably 🚫illegal deliveries of his own. Anthony sees Tyler as somehow usurping him out of his relationship with his father.
Tyler really 💘loves Shelby, but he must keep his after work deliveries a secret from her, and they start interfering with their relationship when he has to cancel dates and finally misses her birthday.
Anthony had sent Tyler on a wild goose chase to make a gun 🔫 delivery , saying his father wanted it done. In the meantime, Anthony puts the moves on Shelby💋👗, so one too many missed dates for Tyler🐺🍌🌋👋, and he's out of Shelby 's life, and Anthony👹 is in.
This book is a compilation of all the 📚books in this series, they are all included! Great reading, needs some editing but it's not annoying.
Tyler🐺🍌🌋👋 is a big bad 🔥boy, he's tatted up, he's jacked💪, he's a spanker👋, and a panty ripper👙, too!
YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍌, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎

This was a good contemporary romantic suspense that is drawn out. It was originally a 5 part serial so it takes a little longer to read. I always appreciate longer books. Tyler was drawn into his brothers world of high business finance. His brother was trying to help get Tyler off the streets as a thief. Shelby is interning in the same office. Tyler has always had a crush on her so he gets himself deeply involved with the corrupt owner of the business. The Society is group of wealthy elite individuals that consider themselves the law and above the law. I do not usually read serials so I was glad the author combined these segments. Shelby seems needy and niave through the majority of the story. My favorite books are those where both main characters have strength and compliment one another. This is particularly why I only have this story 4 stars. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I hope in the future to read more books by Ms. Danes.

I almost never review books. Most of the time I enjoy what I read and find no need to review it. However I feel that when I review it is to warn others to stay away. So this book is all the books in this series. I managed to force myself threw over half of it and that is time I will never get back. I'm not sure what was going on, I feel like this was a crime/mystery novel with a little bit of soft romance. There were no hot and heavy scenes and the characters were under developed. I wasn't able to finish this book, and I don't know if it was the awful story line or the characters....either way I don't recommend This!

This five book box set was quite a read. It had it all mystery, suspense, drama, passion, crime, the FBI and lots of action. Two brothers who were so different. Tyler has always had a crush on Shelby and tries to do things that will impress her. This gets him involved with the Society. Is he able to leave the society and what goes on between him and the FBI. Lots of twists, turns and surprises. A well written fast moving series, but it was a little slow at the beginning. I received a copy of this book from the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

I volunteered to review this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I want to say first, I really enjoy the Authors however I had a hard time getting into the storyline and staying there. I'm not sure why. I just had a hard time following the story plot and it keeping my attention. I wish it wasn't true and feel bad writing it because I do adore the writing style of these Authors and most all other stories

The Society (V 1-5) by Ellie Danes: ***** Good!
This series started out a bit slow for me, but evolved into a nice exciting buildup. I loved the way Shelby handled Anthony -- NOT A PUSHOVER ;-). The character development was good -- I really loved the relationship between Shelby and her sister, and the office gossip Betty was a hoot!

These authors were new to me. I wish I could rate it higher, but I was just not a fan of the characters or the storyline really. Tyler was not so bad, but I didn't like Shelby (or her choices) at all. It is very well-written, though.

Aggravated

I didn't by a 4 series book individually only to find out it was really a 5 series book I could have purchased as one! When it comes to this author and Amazon I'll rethink my future purchases!

The Society is a real cloak and dagger kind of story. There are bad guys and bad guys that make those bad guys look like the good guys. Stuck in the middle is a heroine that does not know she is in danger, she is looking for love.

I love this story, it shows the great lengths someone will go through for love

This is a five part series that has a whole lot of mystery, drama, passion and suspense along with quite a few shady cloak and dagger dealings and will leave you intringued right up until the very last page.
Shelby has scored an amazing internship and her boss Christian decides to hire his brother Tyler to intern just after she starts. Tyler and Shelby form an instant connection and their passion and chemistry runs red hot. However, when Tyler stands her up on her birthday, Shelby gives up on their relationship as she cannot handle his constant disappearing acts.
Tyler has always lived life on the edge, being able to procure items that others can't. His skill set catches the eye of his boss Greg and before Tyler can argue he finds himself as the new errand boy to a very powerful secret society. In trying to impress Shelby he has now put both their lives at risk.
Things become complicated when the FBI enter the fray and no one knows who can be trusted. I loved the mystery and suspense in wanting to know how it would all play out. Great read.

Omg ok... so I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. This is a 5 part series all wrapped in one. The first four were previously released leaving only part 5.. the culmination, if you will. Parts 2-4 did a great job keeping the reader on their toes, on edge. Lots of cloak and dagger. Lots of frustrating mystery. Those parts are what constituted my rating as a 4. If it were just how it started and how it ended, I would have rated it a 3. It was a good build with a very weak ending.

I read part 1 and was totally confused as to what I was reading.

I was sent an ARC, which I am voluntarily reviewing.

Unfortunately there was no blurb to tell me what to expect and no warning that the story was originally published in serial form.

I am not at all tempted to continue as the characters weren't appealing and the plot, such as it was, was confused.

The Society (Volumes 1- 5) by Ellie Danes and Lily Knight is a Bad Boy Romance

Tyler is a criminal and compulsive liar whose only goal in life is to buy a Mustang. Tyler's brother Christian invites him to his office at Abernathy and Banks and offers him an internship which Tyler promptly turns down. Until he sees his high school crush Shelby walk by. Shelby is a new college grad who just started an admin job at Abernathy and Banks. Shelby meets gorgeous new intern Tyler who remembers her from high school and they soon start dating. Wanting to earn some extra money to take Shelby out on nice dates, Tyler agrees to help Abernathy and Banks boss Greg with some tasks for extra money, which turns out to be a test for something bigger. Greg initiates Tyler into The Society, a powerful and influential secret organisation. Greg's son Anthony is jealous of Tyler and sabotages Shelby and Tyler's relationship. After Shelby breaks up with Tyler, Anthony pursues Shelby. Luckily for Tyler, Shelby is willing to take him back. Anthony resorts to his tricks again and manipulates Shelby into dumping Tyler again. Tyler is in over his head, and not only does Tyler have to worry about The Society and Anthony, now he's on the FBI's radar. The FBI offer protection for him and Shelby and to erase his record if he helps them take The Society down. This is Tyler's way out of the Society, so he agrees. When Greg discovers Tyler's a mole, he threatens to have Shelby murdered unless Tyler feeds the FBI false information. Is there no way out for Tyler? Will Tyler and Shelby ever get their HEA?

The Society is exciting, suspenseful, angsty, sweet, and steamy with twists and turns. Ellie Danes and Lily Knight have paired an intriguing story with engaging characters for a book I could not put down. I highly recommend this book.

Loved the complexity of the main characters. Tyler has been pinning over Shelby since high school and when they finally meet she doesn't remember him. I was so heartbroken for him then. Then Tyler gets pulled into 'the society'. It was different then what I've read in a while. Very intriguing. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This is a great read with plenty of action, suspense and romance. Tyler has a lot of secrets but he will have to trust Shelby with some of them if he wants a chance at a relationship with her. You really get caught up in the intrigue and eager to see what happens when the secrets are exposed. The ending delivers everything you want and need.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This five part series contains mystery, drama, passion and suspense while keeping up with some shady cloak and dagger dealings. I was hooked until the last page and even then, wanted to know more.

Coming from a small town, Shelby lands a job at an amazing place with Christian Stone, someone from her former small town. Christian decides to bring on his brother to get him out of the streets and living a better life. Tyler has always noticed and loved Shelby from afar growing up. Now he has a chance to make his crush a reality. However, once they start dating, Tyler assumes Shelby wants fancy stuff and starts down the rabbit hole of dirty dealings for the big boss, Greg, which leads to a position in the Society. Tyler's extra activities take him away from Shelby more times than they can count, but her birthday triggers the downhill slide in their relationship. Shelby decides it is better to focus on her career than a love life and the constant lies Tyler feeds her.
However, as time passes, Tyler wants out of the Society, but doesn't find a way until the FBI follow him and reach out to him.
Who can he trust? Can he escape the Society and the FBI with Shelby on his arm?
Great read!!!

Loved the concept of The Society - a group of men and handpicked women who do what needs to be done to make things happen - career, politics, and more. Tyler is not the type of man you would think would be part of this group, but I loved his cocksure attitude yet self-deprecating attitude. When he meets Shelby it spun him up and gave him a new reason to rethink his career path. This book was thrilling and steamy, and I'm glad the five parts were all together here.. Loved the labyrinth of twists that made this story different. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

A great read by one of my favorite authors, Ellie Dane. This book is well paced, well developed, The storyline is interesting, and the chemistry is off the charts. Tyler and Shelby are compelling characters, although sometimes foolish in their decisions. The book came in 5 parts and honestly, it could of and should of been written as one book. Great read for this weekend and it's FREE with KU
