I really liked the storyline in this book. Characters were well developed and simply adorable, the writing was good, and I liked getting a glimpse of Piety and Kaleb from the first book as their lives progressed through this one.
Storyline and characters were worth 5 stars to me, but I had to take one off due to the distracting inconsistencies throughout the book: People referred to by the wrong name. Characters in one room suddenly, without moving, in a different room two paragraphs later. Actions as told from two perspectives happening in a different order and with some of the actions different. Characters repeating actions they had just previously done. Event taking place in one room later referenced as taking place in a different room. Claw foot tub later is a sunken tub. Characters in one position, then, again without moving, in a different one.
These errors should have been caught if someone had read through the entire book after it was finished and prior to publishing. It's a shame the book is brought down and seems much less professionally done due to this problem.
I enjoyed reading about Dash and Astra. Both Dash and Astra didn't have a great relationship with their parents. But some how Dash end up with DiDi as a best friend and Astra had Piety. And Dash and Astra discovered when you find your soulmate there is no turning back. I definitely recommend this book.
Bonus Book: Serving Him I enjoyed reading about Aleena and Dominic. I loved Aleena character because she dealt with everyday issues that some people have to deal with coming from a bi-racial family. I also love Dominic character as well because after everything he had been through in his childhood, he was still able to learn how to care for people. I definitely recommend this book.
Excerpts to Craving HIM (first four chapters) - In these first four chapters you get to see Dominic learn how to accept unconditional love from his biological mother even though they are still getting to know each other. Can't wait to read the rest of this book to see what happens.
Another good book in this series. Astra is a great looking woman who comes from a very wealthy family she always feels that her parents although they love her care more for propriety than her and in that she is somewhat insecure. When her best friend moves to California and she is offered a job there she decides to move with them. Dash is a good looking wealthy man who lost his fiancee due to her drug abuse, he has made it his mission to open a clinic for addicts. He met Astra at a fund raising event and was immediately drawn to her and she to him. She soon finds out that her new job is at his clinic, they are just made for each other. The chemistry between these two is red hot even though they try to fight it. Each of them has their own issues can they make it through. This is a good romantic read with lots to hold you interest. Good read.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh Dash, you better be prepared...there is a storm brewing and it's heading your way called Astra. I loved reading book 1 about Piety and Kaleb but now reading about Piety's friend Astra was even better. Following on to Los Angeles, Astra gets a job in a new clinic where she meets her boss Dash (Dashiel). To say there is chemistry is an understatement but Dash is wary. A brilliant hot, sexy story where Dash has to learn to trust again, big time and Astra coping with her own issues. It made me tear up at times. A story I thoroughly loved and couldn't read it quickly enough. Miss them already.
Astra follows Piety and Kaleb to California when she gets a job at a new rehad clinic that is opening soon. Imagine her surprise when her new boss is the sexy man who walked in on her in her bra and panties at a fundraiser. She was sewing up a rip in her costume and Dash kissed her. So now her new job could be a bit uncomfortable. This is a fun story that takes you through the ups and downs of Astra and Dash getting to know each other. It is an easy read. The author did a great job developing the characters and making them so likeable. The book can be read as a stand alone but the characters carry over from book one. I recommend this book for anyone who wants a sweet, sexy read.
This is a second part of the story , where Piety newly pregnant marries her Aussie stripper from book 1 and they plan to move to LA so he can own a surfboard store . Astra goes to LA for a new job as a manager for new clinic for rehab owned by Dash. They have instant chemistry and sex happens. Dash has conflicts with Astra at work and in his life . Must read !
This is Astra’s interesting story, as she moves & starts working at a new job next to her boss, who is still dealing with the loss of his fiancé. The fact that he never mentions her until the end of the book ends up causing some misunderstandings between them, since he thinks that Astra has the same problems that his fiancé had.
I rarely give less than 5 stars, and I loved married to a stripper which is the first of this series. This book isn't bad, it's worth the read. The problem I had with it is it took to long for the story to start moving. Lots of details, that weren't necessary to the two main characters meeting and finally coming together. That being said once they connect its better.
Loved reading Astra's story. However so much of the story revolved around the clinic. I was hoping to see more about the opening and how Dash and Astra worked past his past and worked on their relationship. Story seemed rushed
Another fine offering from M S Parker with the continuing storyline from Married To A Stripper, this time featuring the best friend from the first set of stories. When reading M S Parker's books you know you'll be captivated from start to finish. I just love this author's stories.
Well that was a good read, finally Astra got her happy, it was a bit of a journey especially when Dash thought she had drugs, but It all settled on the end
This series is good! Dash develops strong feelings for Astra as she helps him become a better man. I think everyone should read it and the plot becomes clearer..
Astra & Dash I couldn't get enough of. Dash wasn't looking for love, he lost someone he loved and can't get over the guilt, but seeing and being around Astra made him feel something he hasn't felt in a long time. Astra & Dash are so good together but will Dash's insecurities & lack of trust ruin what could be the best thing that ever happen to him?
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book
What a great conclusion to LA Misbehaved. If I could have given it more then five stars i definitely would have. M.S. Parker is a fantastic author, she has absolutely wonderfully skilled sexiness about her books. As always she never lets you down..and neither do Astra and Dash. Two souls meant to be one.
This is a two for one deal when you get this book, you get book one and two, therefore when you come to the cliff hanger ending in book one you can immediately dive into book two and see where Dash and Astra's story takes us.
Book two picks up right where book one left off, Astra and Dah have slept together, even though she works for him, and there they are six days later not having seen one another again, as Astra kind of kicked Dash out letting him think that this was a one night thing never to happen again.
Astra though wants nothing to more than to be with Dash though and she stops at nothing to let him know how she feels. I love the determination that Astra goes to to get Dash's attention, but not doing it in a way that would demean herself.
How long will Dash be able to hold out with all of Astra's advances????
A book that kept me smiling! Astra is a determined woman who loves helping others. Dash is private man who's opening a rehab facility. It only takes one chance meeting and these two are set on a collision course to work together. Will they self destruct or learn to become special 'friends'? Some comedy, romance and sexy time give this book my thumbs up! M. S. Parker and Cassie Wild never disappoint with their writing! A must read!
I was so excited for Astra's story. LA Misbehaved is a standalone, but I would read Married a Stripper first. There you are introduced to Astra and her craziness. Astra is a strong independent woman. Dash is a borderline hermit. He lives with guilt after a tragedy. Their chemistry is off the charts hot! M.S. Parker is a fantastic writer and storyteller. She gets you sucked in and keeps you until the end. I feel like these characters are my friends and I don't want the story to end. I'm hoping she writes Camry's story next. Loved, loved, loved this book!!
Another great story by M.S Parker. I love reading all of her books, she keeps you wanting more. It continued right where book 1 left off and i loved Dash and Astra. Great read.
This is Astra's story as she follows her friend Piety and her new husband to California for new jobs. Astra meets the brooding businessman who is setting up a clinic to help drug abusers get the help they need to take charge of their addictions. Astra and Dash are quite the pair; avoiding each other but feeling the attraction. "Our mouths came together in a hot, bruising kiss." "It was the first time I ever purposefully hidden that picture - the last one I'd taken of her..." "A misbehaving menace of a minx." A good story with lots of heat, emotion and female characters with spunk and intelligence.
After reading Married to a Stripper by M. S. Parker. We got to know a bit about Astra. Was so pleased when she got her own story. Then we get to meet the handsome Dash. This is not an easy relationship. Dash is full of guilt and insecurities. Astra is finding the guilt of a young girls death always there in the back of her mind. Both with parents who are not very maternal. Will they find a way to deal with their different pasts and find a future together. Another five star read from an amazing author
I read the first book and loved the story of Kaleb & Piety so I was skeptical that the sequel would stand up to the first book. Fortunately, I was wrong. I loved the story of Dash & Astra just as much! I look forward to reading more books by the author!
