This series is so damn fantastic.
STORY :
Continuing where was left off, the heroes are now faced with Corpse soldiers - new Tgurneu's plot. And that plot strikes hard in the hearts of Adlet and Rolonia the most. Rolonia is the only not who does not want to give up on them and so she struggles to find a way to help the Corpse soldiers before its too late.
Among the soldiers, one particular human is left with his sanity. Ironically, it's Adlet's friend from the past - Rainer - who found about the secret of the perfect and most dangerous weapon. And that weapon is endangering the heroes. But, being controlled by the parasite stuck on his neck, he finds ways to leave messages. But will he do it on time?
CHARACTERS :
This book is heavily focused on Rolonia and Rainer. We follow most of this book through their perspectives and i have to say that these two are the refreshment needed. More is revealed about Rolonia, her past, her hopes and struggles.
Some other questions are answered and some other questions remain. But for now, it is enough.
OVERALL :
This series is just so well done - and the story is captivating. I cried at the end of the book and i love it. I love it when stories are emotional and when even side characters get a proper character development. Another fantastic sequel to this fantastic series.

Leído por segunda vez mantengo la puntuación que le di en un principio. Siendo un libro interesante dentro de la saga, tiene como protagonista a un personaje, que si bien me cae bastante bien, resulta algo aburrido y a veces hasta molesto. Hay algunas partes en las que la acción resultaba algo aburrida.
No obstante, se desvelan varios misterios y se nos presenta una trama que, aunque simple, a mí me ha ganado por completo. Siempre he dicho que el punto fuerte de esta saga es el hecho de contar una historia inicialmente sencilla pero de forma que con cada libro se indague aún más en el mundo y en las propias relaciones humanas. Además, siento que algunas tramas poseen un cariz trágico no del todo evidente. De esta forma, al reflexionar acerca del argumento disfrutas de un drama implícito que resulta muy agradable. Dicho de otra forma, el autor, a pesar de escribir para un público adolescente, no trata al lector como a un idiota, y le insta a que recapacite acerca de las consecuencias de ciertos sucesos en la psique de los personajes que se ven envueltos en ellos.
Por otra parte, todo lo referente a los poderes mágicos tanto de las santas como de los demonios siguen siendo apartados sumamente interesantes e imaginativos dentro del libro.
En definitiva, es un buen libro digno de esta saga, pero no merece mis 5 estrellas.

Increasingly the books in this series have begun to have strong beginnings, lengthy and drawn-out middles, and punchy and exciting endings, and it is the endings that really end up dragging the book back up rating-wise in my mind. I would've probably given this one a 3 if not for the reveal at the end as well as the moving moment at the end where Adlet and crew learn the secret. Rolonia is probably the character I sympathize with least, even though this novel was meant to develop her more and get the reader to connect and understand her better. It's probably more to do with types of people than anything else. The action also felt a bit too drawn out compared to the first few books, where there was a greater element of mystery. Overall though my opinion of "Rokka" remains very strong. It's an exciting series that's different from more others I've read that are even comparable plot-wise and never fails to keep me invested in the story.

Volume four was easily the weakest so far in Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers. I enjoyed the developments it made to the characters and the plot, but much of the book dragged on. The same motivations were reiterated too many times without much progress towards any goals, and this made the pacing feel off. The end picked up a lot and was full of those twists and revelations that Rokka is known for, but getting there was a bit boring. The character this book focuses on is my least favorite of the group, and her narrative made me dislike her even more because she felt bland and stereotypical. However, none of this kept me from enjoying this book, and I'm looking forward to the next volumes and the end of this series.

El mejor de la saga sin lugar a dudas. Aunque como conjunto no dejan nada que desear.
Ha sido una lectura muy intrigante y MUY adictiva. Yamagata ha sabido desplegar todos los puntos de esa trama tan elaborada que ha creado. Claramente esto o es todo, siempre hay más.
Le doy 5 estrellas porque no ha habido nada que no me gustara. Espero que la 5a parte no tarde mucho en estar lista!

Easily the weakest entry in the series, but good nevertheless. I was fairly bored throughout most of it, that is until the final chapter or two. What made Rokka so magical, mainly the multitude of mysteries, seemed to be completely absent here.

For most of this I wasn't really feeling it, but the last two chapters hit hard. This time around it wasn't a plot twist, but an emotional punch.

Se han agregado un par de elementos de misterio a la trama ya bastante complicada, el manipulador desde las sombras inicia a moverse, sin embargo hay cosas que no cuadran, la obra sigue siendo intensa e interesante, pero comienza a cansar, veremos la estrategia que usa el autor para seguir manteniendo al lector al borde del asiento.

Rokka is one of those series that just keeps on delivering! We're also given a clue as to who is the 7th and what he/she is supposed to do. Also explained how Nashetania got her crest. A perfect mix of mystery/fantasy/action. Really recommend even for non-Light Novel readers.

This volume looks a bit odd when it begins but it's a good novel: the backstory of Adlet's childhood friend and the ending is just amazing it made me almost cry. But I must admit that the fights aren't that great and the characters' behavior is a little weird

I liked this one. But i felt like they dragged it for long to reach the conclusion. They could have done it faster. A lot of moments were repetitive. I liked rolonia. She seems stereotypical but i connected with her. And as you expect from this series endings. It’s always exciting

Justo cuando crees que no puede haber más plot twist y situaciones peligrosas, de verdad te sorprende. La complejidad de la historia, que en la primera novela parece una historia de héroes salvando al mundo de una fuerza malvada, te muestra precisamente en este volumen que estabas muy equivocado. La narrativa es sencilla y fácil de comprender. Simplemente fascinante.

Braves of the Six Flower 4 is the half way point of our heroes journey to defeat the Evil God, however they find themselves not only being allies with one of their foes, the fiend Dozzu and with him the Princess who tried to kill them in book 1, but they also have to figure out who the 7th Brave is, as well as figure out what Tgurneu is plotting next. As the cover suggests, this book focuses more on the Saint of Blood Rolonia, a young woman who knew Adlet before either of them were Braves and who never wanted this kind of life.
When reading this book, aside from feeling exasperated in regards to Rolonia wanting to save people who were essentially dead, you also felt sympathy towards her too. She had lived a happy life with her family, tending to the fields when the fiends came. After that she had struggled to survive, not because she didn't have a place to live, but because she is so meek and clumsy that it was easy to pick on her. When she was chosen as Saint of Blood, Mora took her under her wing to train her, instead of doing what Rolonia really want to do, which was give up the power that had been gifted to her because she felt unworthy of it. Because Rolonia being meek, she didn't force Mora to let her take back the Sainthood, instead she learned the way of Saint of Blood and thus saved a life back in Book 2.
Of course with Rolonia knowing Adlet in the past, there is a bit of him in here too, namely about his family life, his sister and friend, we also learn a few curious things about him too.
Yet here there are decisions that have to be made in regards to the zombies I suppose we could call them, and who they are in relation to Adlet, indeed we also become more aware of Rolonia's feelings towards Adlet.
With all this being rolled around the book, the mystery of the 7th is still there. There is no real way that Adlet isn't the 7th, and in the end it is him and Hans Humpty that take the role as leader of the group instead of just Adlet himself.
This book starts to pick up the pace more than any of the other's, because we know what is at stake now, we now know all the players on either side and the risks that are being taken to ensure one of the sides wins.

I thought that I had this review in the book for some reason, but it seemingly either slipped my mind or haven’t been a thing I cared doing back then, and no time better than the present to fix that :)

I didn’t love love volume 3, because of Goldov being a more of a boring character to me than the rest in a way with his single mindedness concerning the Princess, which makes forever grateful that this series focuses one of the characters every book and this one was no different. This time we focus on Rolonia and a bit of Adlet’s childhood, I find them way more interesting and especially getting a bigger look at what happened and learn more about a young Adlet.
The mystery remains intricate, well crafted and with every single addition to it just causes even more confusion and presents red herrings everywhere against everyone. This remains the very very best point of the book, I don’t recall anything making me guess just as much as this one and while I am heavily leaning on an unaware Adlet still, the book doesn’t make it easy to just up and choose him.
Of course, we can’t forget the villain, Tgurneu. I hate villains who are more aesthetic than actual villainy hence why when presented with a highly logical and devastating villain like this one, I find myself enjoying their inclusion a lot more than I would’ve expected. He doesn’t stop making things difficult, and it only just increases the stakes of the series in a very interesting way.
Enjoyed it a lot, last one of the online translated series before it was picked up by Yen Press and it was a definite treat to read.
