Being mated to an alpha was never part of Leigh’s plans. As much as the man who’s claimed her as his heats up her bed and sets her body on fire, she’s not ready to give up everything for an alpha she hardly knows. Especially not after all the lies and deceit he’s spun to keep his real identity hidden from her.
But when her alpha’s scheming enemies learn of her existence, there’s no one but him left to save her.
Will he sacrifice everything he is to rescue the one he calls his mate?
And if he does… can Leigh surrender her heart to save them both?

Mated is the third and final book in Nora Ash’s dirty, suspense-filled Omegaverse serial. Want your alphas dominating and your romance scorching? This is the story for you.

I am Nora Ash, and I write a plethora of different romance books. Some of them are really dirty, some of them are only kinda-dirty, some are paranormal, some are contemporary… Basically, I have a rampant imagination and no way of controlling it, except from just writing down whichever idea pops into my head at the time.

The one thing my books always have in common, though? A great story and a guaranteed HEA.
If you’re ever in doubt about what you’re about to read, have a look at my book page. It has a flame rating for each series, so you know what you’re getting yourself into!

I’m originally from the cold North (AKA Scandinavia) but these days I live in rainy England with my amazing fiancé and our two pesty cats. When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading, watching Real Housewives of Wherever (reality tv it’s my shameful addiction) or hiking in whatever bit of woodland I can find.

Three fun facts about me

I once ran away with a traveling circus
I’m bilingual. Almost-kinda trilingual, but my Spanish is terri-bad these days.
I’m a decent rider (English style only, though)

Nora Ash you have a filthy mind! *grins* This was just what the doctor ordered. I've read this series out of order, now I'm off to read book 1, Alpha Taken.

So, it's looking like I'm rating this series 5 stars. I'm doing this because I enjoyed it more than the Feral Series, and I rated that series 4 stars. So, 5 stars makes sense for me. This is all personal preference, I have no idea why I'm enjoying this series so much (even more than Feral). Well, I kind of do know. It was really hot. Intense, but not quite as tortuous as Feral got. This is like, pure erotica. Well-written erotica, too. So far this is my favorite Omegaverse serial I've read and I see myself rereading it. This author can write erotica, and she manages to add so much world-building and character development as well as plot in such a short amount of space.

I like the omega/alpha dynamic but the political parties piss me off. There are some hot af scenes and they both fight their nature. Their relationship comes to a satisfactory end but it felt too short, way too short.

Bloody hell! What the actual F?!

Leigh was kidnapped by several men (possibly)hired by the politician. I think they live in such a small city and has "eyes" everywhere. They seem to know that Leigh somehow have "relationship" with Peter Leod. Well, the point is to Peter save her. And he came!

This Alpha series is really dark when it came to almost-rape scene, stalker-ish attitude, and disturbing blackmail. Peter was blackmail by the kidnapper to ruin his own reputation by fake-rape Leigh and the tape will be distributed a whole city to see. This part is really confused me. I thought Peter was quite powerful enough to hire some mercenary to do dirty works like this. Kinda dumb. Instead it was Leigh who agreed to be the willing victim. Surprise, surprise.

Then, the evil politician plot to thrown Peter succeed. I didn't know what Peter will do except he tried to "break up" with Leigh. He's about to send her away from the city. But, noooo. Leigh is no longer a clueless Omega. She braced herself to fight for Peter. Leigh start to exploit the corruption behind the politicians. Overall, the story is quite intriguing from the start. The only thing I didn't like is how Peter could be withdrawn sometimes. I expect my Alpha to be high and mighty. Also the sex in this book wasn't really my jam. Still hot though if you're into fisting. LOL!

This was a very short but AWESOME story! I really wish it was longer so I could have enjoyed it for a little longer than an afternoon. But worth it :)

This is the final entry in Ms. Ash's Omegaverse novella trilogy set in our contemporary world. Since it traces the burgeoning relationship between the MC (a masked avenger H and a reporter h), it's necessary to read the series in order. My review is for all three books.

I found this difficult to rate because A) Though I liked the first two books, I didn't like the third; and B) There was little cohesion in world-building, plot, character, and tone. I will say that if you're looking for a consensual Omegaverse where the H doesn't harm the h, then you may enjoy this. The prose flowed and was relatively error-free; the characters were likable; the h had more agency than is usual in this genre; and the H was hyper-protective of his Omega. Because the erotic scenes were well-described and the narrative takes such a huge suspension of disbelief, I think this is best read as pure erotica -- which is sometimes all you want.

Below are my issues; YMMV:

1) World-Building: This may not matter, but I have no idea what country we were in. There are allusions to Britain (Lord Mayor), the US (the South, unless that also refers to the UK), and perhaps Germany (Mattenburg). In truth, I wish that authors from other countries didn't feel so compelled to "Americanize" their works: I find the blending of British and US terms confusing. If a book is set in the UK, I'd rather read those words.

2) Plot: It's hard to talk about this without giving spoilers, so I've hidden this. Short version: The events portrayed take a huge suspension of disbelief. .

3) Tone: These books alternate between humorous moments and really disturbing scenes, and not, I think, successfully. In this book, for example, the H and H are forced to .

Side Note #1: Given the h's first name, I really hope she doesn't take the H's last name.
Side Note #2: Extolling Alphas as police officers has not aged well.
Side Note #3: I would prefer never to see the following sentence again, anywhere: "Do you want to get raped?”

Individual Ratings:
Taken: 4 stars
Masquerade: 4 stars
Mated: 2 1/2 stars

Overall Rating: 3 1/2 stars. I would have rated this more highly without that scene in the last book. I will read this writer's other works.

I would say it’s a good 3 1/2 stars. It’s a quick read. No where near as dark as books 1-2, but a nice wrap up of the story. It ends pretty abruptly, but I suppose it’s a HEA. Just would’ve liked more story. It’s an interesting book though. However I wish this series built upon the rules of this omega verse. Like I’m not sure what “presenting” means. I assumed it would be discussed later in the series, but it doesn’t. Not sure how or why Peter is a vigilante at night killing local thugs? I thought that would be hashed out, but it wasn’t. Did anyone ever find the bodies of the men who attached the h in book 1? I thought that would’ve been discussed but seems that storyline just dropped. As i mentioned it is a decent story, it just is not complete and lacks tying up the loose ends

This series was a fast enough read I was able to read all three books in one sitting. The plot is good, and the characters are likable. There were a few things I didn't like, but that's more out of personal preference (like not having to read moans in made by random letters in quotations), so not anything truly technically enough for me to detract from the rating.

I'd recommend for a quick read.

Combined Review - 3 Novellas (Alpha) 1)Taken 2) Masquerade 3) Mated
Written by Nora Ash Published 2017

Set in a modern omegavers world a female reporter unexpectedly presents during a crowded political debate triggering public mayhem (all the political candidates on stage being alphas.) Her life is turned upside down and to make matters worse she’s now caught the attention of a mystery alpha whose attentions have become quite obsessed.

The novelllas are a fast entertaining read. Nora Ash writes exclusively omegavers with high spice factor. Though fewer pages these are true to Ash’s style.

I listened to the audiobooks. 1 female narrator was used to convey this single POV books. I was not impressed with the audiobook experience and would recommend you skip, go straight to your favorite way to consume text and just read. The story’s themselves I’d give a 3.5 round up to 4 star ⭐️ rating. Interested to see what Ash beef them up with in the re-write.

The author seems to be revisiting this story and recently expanding them to full novels. See the Alpha Ties series published 2021-2022.

4 STARS

I have to admit, Nora Ash knows how to write those sultry sex scenes. Alpha:Mated was a delicious conclusion to her Alpha series. While I was a little skeptical over the whole video fiasco, I think Peter redeemed himself in my eyes as a true Alpha!
I would have loved to learn more about the Omegaverse world of Mattenburg, but I was still pleased with Peter and Leigh’s intense development of their relationship.
I can’t wait to continue with her Demon’s Mark Series that was an added bonus with the purchase of Alpha: Mated.

Great ending

I'm so not ready for this book to end, but if it has too, then I'm going to say that this was a great way to end it.

Nora Ash is one of the few authors that writes m/f omegaverse, and her books are brutal, and loving, and amazing all at once. I always need more of her work.

Oops, I read the last book before the first two. This is not a stand alone. It's a very fast read. I think all three books could easily make one book.

I didn't like the references to political parties as I read these books for a distractions, not to be reminded and focused on liberal and conservative ways. It needs more. It's ok.

the way peter was so protective of her. the alpha came to rescue his omega mate from kidnappers even though that meant giving up on his political career.

“I swear, if you’ve so much as touched her, I’ll rip your dick off!”

“You better move that fucking thing away from her before I shove it up your ass and pull the trigger.”

“If you think for one second I’ll ever lay a hand on my own mate, let alone brutalize her for the entire city to gawk at, you’re going to be sorely disappointed.” Leod’s voice is oddly calm—gentle even. But there’s no mistaking the burning steel in his eyes as he glares down first one, and then the other kidnapper.

“If you hurt her, I will end you.” The threatening growl is back in Leod’s voice.

“It’s just you and me here, darling. Just me worshiping your body. Okay?” I nod slowly. As long as he looks at me like that, like I’m the only one in the whole world, it’s easier to ignore our audience.

“I want you, Leigh. I want you more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my entire life.”

He hunches above me in a protective pose, shielding my body from the kidnappers as much as he can while we’re still tied.

“Of course I came for you, Leigh. It was never a choice.” His breath brushes over the nape of my neck, where the bruise he left yesterday is still present. “I’ve had no such luxury since I first laid eyes on you.”

“I’ll admit, it was a rather nice cherry on top, but no. My main concern was for your financial stability. Of course, I’d much rather have just forced you to move in with me so I could provide directly for you, but… I might be at my instincts’ mercy when it comes to you, but you seemed like an independent woman.”

“It’s funny—ever since I saw you, I finally get why so many of you are scared of us. You have no idea how badly I ache to possess you—to own you. It’s like this clawing, snarling darkness inside, and it hurts every time you’re not with me. I don’t even really know you, and yet every thought I’ve had since our eyes locked has been about how I can make you mine. Make you submit to me in every way.

“Purr for me.” I bury my face against his chest and breathe in deeply. Tomorrow I can worry about how to have a relationship with a man who’s blatantly stated he wants to own and possess me and keep me away from the world. Tonight I just want to pretend for a little while longer. “Please.” If he finds the request odd, he doesn’t say. Soft lips press against the top of my head, and then that wonderful, deep purr rumbles out from his chest, vibrating through my bones and into my very soul. His alpha purr—the sound created to soothe and comfort me like nothing else in this world. I close my eyes and let myself relax in his embrace.

“No, my sweet. You’ve been through enough. In fact...” He hesitates, and I can see the strain passing over his face before he steels his features and looks at me with that emotionless expression he usually employs when I’ve seen him on TV in the past. Then he withdraws his hand from my face and clasps it in his lap. “This will be the last time we see each other.”

“You have to leave the city. It’s not safe for you here—not when Bremen knows you’re my weakness. And you’re not safe from me, either. If you stay, it’s only a matter of time before I put a claiming mark on you.”

“It’s for the best, Leigh. The only thing I want more than to possess you is to make sure you’re safe. So I have to send you away. I’m not a good man—you know this. I’ll take you, and I’ll break you. Get out now, before it’s too late.”

“You want me to stop, even though taking my fist will give you pleasure so intense only my knot will ever compare. You’re scared, because you don’t trust that I won’t hurt you. And I need you to understand that you will always, always, be safe in my hands. I need you to know, in the very depths of your soul, that I will cherish and protect you always. That nothing and no one will ever get to harm you and live.”

“And even if they did, I wouldn’t let anyone tear us apart. Not now, not ever. You’re the only one I will ever love, Leigh. The only one. If you demand it, I will conquer armies for your affection, and I will kill every man, woman, and child who dares lay a finger on you. My life, my power, is yours. As long as I breathe, I will be yours to command. Yours to love. Yours.”

For entire series...

Loved it! I only wish that it went on a little longer. This was definitely a story where I was sad to see that I was finishing it because I want more. I want to know how Peter and Leigh fare together. Or, will that take away from the happy ending? I'm thinking that Leigh will show more affection to Peter, and Peter will continue to hold back on some of his Alpha tendencies to allow Leigh some freedom. And, something that Peter said--that they really don't know each other--I want to see them get to know each other and have their relationship be more than just biology or genetics or fate or whatever you want to call it.

So glad that the author decided to go ahead and write and publish this because it's fantastic.

Lastly, if anyone else ever picked up on it, but I really have no physical information about Peter or Leigh. I know that Peter is massive and has grey eyes. But is he massive the way that alphas are, or is he bigger than an average alpha? And what color is his hair? How old is he? And what about Leigh? What color is her hair? Is she small, assuming that omegas are small? I understand that these are all unnecessary in the length of novelette that this series is... but this is how much I liked this series. I want more.

I didn't hate this but didn't particularly like it as an ending. The story went in a direction that I didn't expect and while I appreciate the surprise of that, it felt like a disappointment. The alpha seemed more like a beta personally type - I didn't expect him to fall in line so easily and not escape the situation. I'm not sure what i was expecting... actually I know I was expecting an alpha. But I'm not sure if that's just my expectation of omegaverse rather than the promise of the this particular 3-part book.... I just went and looked at the first book blurb and it says He is nightmares made flesh, the living embodiment of everything I fear. Yet in my darkest hour, he is the one who comes for me. So its not just me. The implication was that this was a dark story about an actual alpha.

I also HATED the fisting. Not only is not my thing, but the reason for it felt like an excuse to get it into the story.

If all three shorts had been one whole book it probably would have gotten 4 stars but since the author is happy to insult readers by breaking the story up into ridiculously short pieces, then I am happy to rate each piece as needed. I didn't like this installment and that is considered a 1 on goodreads.

I find eroticas a bit difficult to review because most lack what I most enjoy in books - a strong plot and complex character relations that can draw an emotional response from me. Without those elements, I suppose the only real thing you can look out for is good writing and how well crafted erotic scenes are, and anything in addition would be a bonus.

Having said that, I didn't enjoy this series that much. Addison Cain has set the bar so very high for omegaverse novels, and it's really hard to get on her level. I try not to make comparisons but it is so difficult.

This series is short. The focus was on the erotic elements rather than any true development of plot or character. Nothing made the characters stand out. Nothing allowed you to really form an opinion of them or any type of connection to them. The plot was weak and clearly just worked for the purposes of establishing the alpha/omega relationship between Leigh and her alpha. Without anything really working to grab my attention, I got quite bored of this series. I think it's great for someone wanting a simple, rather mindless erotic read. Beyond that, I would not recommend this (especially if you are a veteran of the genre).

The books are a very short read and feel it would have made more sense to just raise the price a bit and make just the one novel rather than create them as 3 short books . The cliffhangers felt like cruel and unjust punishments! All in all I bing read all three books in one night and loved them immensely. It is super important to read them in order for that fully captivating effect. I fully love the dark omegaverse romance genre, but if its not your thing please heed the author's advice and pass on this one as well as the other two of this series opposed to giving the books a negative review .

This takes off right where #2 ends, with Leigh waking after being kidnapped by 2 of the mayor's goons.
Will Leon come to rescue her? Will She rescue him back? No spoilers you will have to read it to find out.
Have enjoyed this trilogy and hope the author will do more about the Alphas.
The story is fast paced and never drags.
If you enjoy this series I think you would enjoy the Darkness series by the same author.

I really enjoyed reading this series from Nora Ash! Super steamy and was interesting as well! The only thing that irked me *spoiler alert* was why they didn’t come out as a couple together to cut off the mayors plan? I know every story needs some sort of conflict but them separating, especially since Peter recognizes Leigh as his mate, didn’t make sense to me. Either way I definitely recommend this series!

I just kept reading… what’s wrong with me?

I didn’t mean to. But also I was just like wHaT hAppEnS neXT O.o ??

Can I just say the fact that he’s a Liberal in the face of the world yet everyone in politics seems to know he’s bullshitting the entire world is hilarious. Like it doesn’t matter which side of the political parties you’re on, we know all they’re all on the same side (and it’s not ours). They just want you to think they’re not.

This is the third book in the Alpha Series, a hot omegaverse series. You have to listen to the previous books in the series before this one. The story continues where the second book ended. This is a great conclusion to this steamy and fast-paced series. Thurlow Holmes did a great job with the narration.

Overall for the full series I give it a
4 ⭐️
I enjoyed the story as a whole, this was the 3rd and last part of the series and gave it a 3⭐️, mostly because of the fisting 🤛 👊..
the knotting sounded painful enough..but the fist and arm up the tutty doesn’t work well for me(I find that too cringey)
But apart from that the story was good, hot and spicy 🌶️

Leigh and Peter continue to heat up the pages in this one. The villain of the story is more fleshed out in this installment, and Peter is pulling his hair out trying to keep Leigh safe.

It was a good finish to the story.

I may return to this, but I feel no need to. It’s very predictable and abrupt, and all important scenes are skimmed over.

This world has so much potential, and I really loved it. I will want to give another go to Nora Ash some other time :)

Downhill

First this series is truly not worth the insane price. Second the first book is by far the strongest after that it goes downhill and is just so so. The author is also far more in love with the political side story than the story deserves.

This is the conclusion to this short series. I do wish it had been longer, but it's still very good. The alpha and his mate are together in their pursuit to let everyone know how the rich act and convey themselves.
This series is good and spicy. I definitely enjoyed it.
