The writer is honest without boasting or self-pitying. The pace was quick as I felt the urgency of the situation throughout the book. Each chapter is like a short story that could stand on its own, but together it unifies into a comprehensive whole. I was full of emotion as the main character struggled and I felt the ending was poigniant.
