Dead Bodies Everywhere

Rate this book
Nicki Sosebee is getting closer to something. She just doesn’t know what.

Nicki’s sleepy hometown of Winchester, Colorado, is the kind of place that deals with two or three deaths a year, not two or three a month, but a serial killer is brutally murdering young adults in the most gruesome ways. With the help of her friend, investigative blogger Janice Breaker, Nicki feels like they’re on the verge of solving the mystery. Instead, she discovers that the corruption in her town reaches far and wide. As she gets closer to discovering the answer to all the dead bodies in her beloved town, she has to decide if she needs to stick to her guns or if it’s better to walk away and leave the headline for another day…

We’re back in Winchester but for once, life for Nicki isn’t a bed of roses!

I love this series with a passion and could re-read each instalment again and again. Nicki Sosebee is a larger than life character and her free loving attitude towards men may at times have been extreme but her love for Sean anchors her in her times of need, and boy does she have her fair share of them! Despite being on book #11, I find myself still wanting more from this amazing series and with so many questions still left unanswered, I hope that readers don't have to wait long to get to the bottom of them.

5 Corrupt, Electrified Stars for Dead Bodies Everywhere

Oh how I have missed Winchester, Nicki, Sean and Jesse! They are kind of like the grown-up Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys and I can only hope we get half as many volumes as those classics. I just absolutely love this series, everything about it. At the beginning of Book 10, LIES, there was a warning that it would be taking a dark turn from there on, which I can certainly see, but, if anything, the darkness is making it even more compelling. I can't wait to find out the true depths of depravity of the evil CM, and I can't wait to find out Nathan's true nature, and I can't wait to find out where life and love take our Nancy and the Brothers Hardy.

This is not a standalone- well, I guess it could be, but so very much better if you have read each and every book leading up to it, in order.

What to say about this one without spoiling anything....? The corruption of the idyllic small town of Winchester that Nicki has been digging into since the first book is getting more intense. Nicki herself is maturing, a lot, although I am a bit torn on my feelings about that, well, at least the whys. What is the saying I am looking for....something along the lines of just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you? Getting more true with each installment. Nicki isn't the only one maturing, made abundantly clear near the abrupt ending of this chapter of Sosebee's never boring existence.

I can't say enough good things about this series, for an adult audiences, as every edition has some very well written steamy scenes. I still adore Jesse, and glad to see him getting a fair amount of screen time in this book. Many series are getting a bit tedious by book 11 - nothing could be more opposite for the Nicki Sosebee series - they just keep getting better and better. The worst part is waiting for the next one!

Yay - Nicki’s back! My God, I have missed her. Ms. Jamison has one hell of a series here following journalist Nicki Sosebee. This is definitely not a cheesy romance, but more of a romantic suspense that covers so much ground you feel like you can’t get enough. It’s a series full of twist and turns, action and adventure, all mixed with love and passion.
Nicki has been through so much in her time writing for the Winchester Tribune, not only with the goings on in the town, but also with her love life.
I do have to say that my favorite part of this book is when Sean and Nicki come together again. You see a side of Sean I don’t think I’ve seen before. He was so tender, so gentle, and so loving with Nicki – WOW – talk about a major swoon moment. Might just be the most swoon worthy moment I’ve read in a long time. It was so tender it took my breath away and I was in tears of love.
Nicki is on to something huge, she knows she is getting close - and so do they. With what Nicki has uncovered and the warnings she’s received, I can’t to see what’s going to happen next. What will happen to Nicki and those around her when she continues to investigate the murders and corruption in Winchester? I know I am anxiously awaiting the next book!

OMG I was so excited when I heard there would be more Nicki Sosebee books and let me tell you...this one did not disappoint!! I must say though that what you get is a very mature girl reporter...she has loved and lost two great guys and is doing ok on her own but still as dedicated to her investigative work as ever...and this time there is a killer on the loose and the victims are all young people.
There are some very sweet and tender moments with one of Nicki's past loves that made me very happy but the emotions and suspense of this book is what kept me going. Be forewarned though...you will not get all the answers to what's happening in this book...and I can't wait to find out how things will all play out in the next one. Great comeback for one of my favorite mystery series with a lot of passion and at times, kindle-melting steam.

Left with loose ends...

Again we are left in suspense as to the goings on in Nicki's town. While I can surmise that Detective Walker is part of the corruption, I think that would be too obvious. Once more it seems Jesse is on the market and Nicki may not be. I do not like cliffhangers. I hope this mystery can be solved soon and we get to move on to another.

I love Nicki Sosebee books but am finding they are becoming less interesting. That is not to say that spark isn't lurking in the next book. I just didn't find it in this one.

This is the eleventh book in the Nicki Sosebee series and they do need to be read in order.

It’s not easy to keep a series fresh when it goes beyond three or four books, and yet Jade C. Jamison has done it at five, six, … eleven! Her imagination keeps mine moving.

I love the unique sexual attitude of Nicki. It is not one that I would wish to ascribe to my own life, but it is fun to read. What’s sauce for the goose should be sauce for the gander!

The mysteries of Winchester, CO, continue to keep Nicki actively investigating and me on the edge of my seat worrying about her and the innocent citizens of town. The corruption is getting more frightening to read and I find myself holding my breath often.

What will happen next? I can only hope we don’t have long to wait to find out.

Note: while I was given this book as a gifted copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Captivating
While Nicki’s still dealing with the emotional trauma after the demise of her short controlling relationship with Hunter, her life is being consumed with investigating the murders that seem to be piling up in Winchester. Sean is there to make himself available to support her however she needs. This series is so intriguing that I just cannot put it down. The emotional struggles intertwined with mystery and suspense make an outstanding read.

The complexities of Nicki's love life pale in comparison to the perplexities of her journalistic career in this erotic and suspenseful romantic mystery.

It's no surprise that I love this series. This book was so good I'm disappointed that I read it so fast.
I love Nicki and her drive to find out information no matter what it takes. The mystery of what is going on in the town had me from the beginning. I love it. Throw in some Sean and Jesse and that makes the book even better.
