The Elderhood is in my veins, but she’s the one that has my heart.
I am new to the Elder throne, but I am no amateur. With my brother as my predecessor and our father as his, leading my people is all I know.
And, right now, I must lead them in war.
She is the new Ambassador to Alien Relations. It is her job to work with me and come to a peaceful agreement of coexistence.
Unfortunately, we cannot seem to agree on anything.
She is hard-headed and obstinate, not at all the submissive human I’d expect her to be. Her wit is sharp, her tongue is sharper, and resolve is rigid. This is not a woman to be manipulated.
I love it.
I love her.
When we learn of new deceptions, however, she will learn just how dominant and commanding an A’li-uud I am, and she will have to decide where her loyalties lie.
I, too, have a choice: head or heart?

This one was really a good Alien Romance with full characters that are shattered with many emotions.
Dane just became an Elder due to his brother injury and return to Albaterra with his mate. He will need to consider he believe about humans, love, and feelings.
Roxanne is an Ambassador that needs to somehow try to establish peace between races.
They will Travel to Albaterra. Will she manage to convince Elders to stop the war?

Nice AR story!

This one started out really well. I was liking Roxanne and I was liking Dane. Things were mostly believable and I was mostly enjoying it. But then when we finally return to Albaterra, it just went down hill. I started to hate Roxanne and it all got very ridiculous again.

So Dane is still on Earth wiping out the human population with his warriors when he manages to get himself and a small group of his people captured. His magic sword doesn't allow the humans to take it from him, but for some reason or another, he can't use it. Separated from the others, Dane finds himself chained to a chair in a drab room. When a human woman shows up to talk to him, he's immediately taken with her and the contradictions she shows him.

Roxanne is the newly appointed alien liaison or some such thing and she has been tasked with making sure a peace treaty gets signed between the two of them before it's too late. Her first meeting with Dane does not go as she was expecting so she has him sent back to his cell for a while. During which time she just becomes more hot and bothered by thoughts of him.

Their next meeting goes a bit better with Dane making his demands about him and his people in exchange for bringing the idea of a peace treaty before the Council of Elders. And before you know it they're all bound for Albaterra with a handful of human soldiers and Roxanne.

Things looked promising when we get back, but never lived up to anything. Too many things don't get explained (like Duke's outburst) or make any sense, I wanted to punch Roxanne in her stupid face, these two are professing their love after minimum interactions and a fight, and then all of a sudden we're told the treaty was accepted and Dane's being officially made the Elder. I wonder if this author is afraid of writing an ending or something because these last two in particular have been abrupt and questionable.

I wanted to finish this series. I really did. I have all the books after all. And I tried. I really tried too. But I just can't right now. These women annoy the ever living fuck out of me and I am just NOT getting into the story much at all. Honestly, what I've liked the most has been the fighting scenes. So while it seems the majority of people have really enjoyed this series, I'm tapping out here.

Loved it.

Another great read & another couple coming together.
This is Dane's story, & how his relationship is formed with Roxanne.
She's tough, stands her ground for the right & not afraid to punch as she does. :)
General Morgan is the thorn in both their sides, but it's fun reading as he is dealt with by a woman. Roxanne meets Emily on the home planet & friendships formed. If you have read the first books, you will love this next installment with new characters & excitement. I can't wait to see who is teamed with Lokos, hoping she's equally as feisty in nature, which I feel he needs. :) Thank you, Ashley Hunt, for another very enjoyable read. So looking forward to more.
If you love the sci-fi genre of romance books with a gauranteed HEA, you will love this series. Come join those of us who are enjoying these books. A quick read that flows well with great characters.

A beautiful continuation of a great story.
I'm loving the evolution of this story and the smooth continuation from Rex to Duke and now into Dane's story. The transition to different points of view is seamless and even though each book can be read individually and will stand alone, they don't end in cliffhangers and the threads that bring them together are strong throughout all of the books that I have read so far. I enjoyed the whole kill them all now we'll sort them out later attitude that the Ali'ude have towards humans...until they meet that one that makes them question what they believe in. The theme of prejudice and xenophobic attitudes is prevalent but it is interesting to see how common sense fares against militaristic attitudes. I completely did not want this story to end, but based on the two chapter preview of Luke's story, my voracious hunger for more of this story is slightly appeased.

I admit I'm addicted to this series. Dane accepted the role as Elder after his brother was critically injured on the initial conflict with Earth and returned to Albaterra with his human mate. Dane is left on earth to provide an Elder presence to work with the New Ambassador of Alien Relations, Roxy Rigby. Roxy, new to her job, is trying to work on a peaceful solution for both parties. She is also fighting the advances of General "Slimeball" Morgan who is responsible for the military presence with the aliens. Without giving too much of the plot away, Roxy suggests peaceful colonization for both planets. I love how strong Roxy is. Even though the human presence on Albaterra is really not cool to the Elders, she is bound and determined to save Dane from charges of treason and stop the conflict between the two worlds. Dane is young and a new Elder, but he is also determined to protect his people and the human woman he loves.

Dane is new as an A’li-uud Elder even though his elder brother and father were Elders before him and has responsibility for his warriors on Earth as they at at war with the humans. However when he meets Roxanne the new Ambassador to Alien Relations who is sharp witted, has a resolve of iron, is hard headed and obstinate he feels he has met his match in more ways than one. Can they work together, come to some kind of accord between their races and handle the doubts and deceptions that surround what they are trying to achieve? Can he also handle the fact that she is the woman for him and he loves her?

Lots of action in this story whether that was against humans, the A’li-uud, or within the races themselves. The love story between Dane and Roxanne was fairly quick as it was between Duke and Emily but it was nice to see they had a few issues settling into their relationship. Well written and an enjoyable read. Looking forward to reading the next story about Lokos.

I received a free copy from the author; this is my honest review.
Having read all three stories I think this one is as good as Rex, if not better, so I'm happily giving it a 5-star review.
I loved the tenderness between Dane and Roxanne. Insta-lust, then appreciation and respect, friendship sort of - they don't have much time, and finally love. It's believable and it feels real.
The story is funny and sweet, with some LOL moments. A bit of suspense, but in a good way, like thinking "Oh my, what's going to happen next?".
There's a villain who thinks he's irresistible and smart but he's neither and only he doesn't know it.
There is also a cameo appearance of a few of our previous acquaintances.
Thankfully, the author put the reins on the gory details of combat.
My only grievance is that I would've liked the book to be longer than what it is.

As in the previous books of this series this was a great read. The main characters are Dane an A'li-uud on Earth and Roxanne who is the Ambassador to Alien Relations. Dane had been made an Elder by his brother Duke, before he left to return home. Duke gave Dane the task of leading his people in the destruction of humans. When Dane is detained by humans Roxanne is charged with trying to negotiate a truce. Dane will not agree to a truce without speaking to the Council of Elders back on Albatera. He wants a ship and to collect his fellow A'li-uud on Earth and return home to talk with the Council. Not going to say more as I don't want to spoil the book.
Dane and Roxanne have a good chemistry and the story is well written. Another great read thank you Ashley!

I'm officially a masohist to continue reading this series. The writing have not become better and plots are getting worse parallel to page count.By now I am starting to wonder if author is a teen on crack to cook up something so ridiculous.I am tired of insta-love,of women being idiots led by their vaginas,of idiocity of overall storyline.

The ending itself is worth mentioning though.I guess I have never before encountered so abrupt and unresolving ending. It lets you feeling that you have missed multiple pages.Or maybe author was scribbling this nonsense and then suddenly run out of time ....I don't know the reason, but I know there is no excuse for it.

Still don't recommend it to anyone with working brain cells...

Roxanne dreamed of making her mark at the United Nations

Dreams change, and evolve, in Roxanne's case Aliens attacked Earth and a job at the UN evolved into being an Ambassador to Aliens, representing Earth and humans, and trying to prevent a genocide.

Dane came to Earth a warrior, and the events of the previous story left him with increased responsibilities... he is charged with getting every surviving member of his species back home.

Roxanne's thoughtfulness, about culture and differences when she first meets Dane hooked me. I was rooting for her to achieve her goals, and teach a couple guys a lesson along the way.

Dane

Another fascinating story in this series. I find each book and each character adds a little more to the series. Ms Hunt has written stories that you get lost in because they are so realistic. You wish you were there to be included or was included in what was happening. Great story telling and great characters the makes you hope that these events could be or would be true. I gave 5 stars because I believe this series and this author deserves them and I'm sure that you will too.

While the war continues to be fought on Earth between the A’li-uud warriors and the humans, both sides are suffering losses. Roxanne is the newly appointed Ambassador of Alien Relations, and it's up to her to try to find a way to stop this war. Dane, is the only Elder of the A’li-uud on Earth, fighting alongside his warriors. When he is captured, a peace deal is offered. Can Dane and Roxanne work together while fighting the attraction they feel and save their own people?

Great read

I loved this story. I find alien romances fasinating. I love how Ashley Hunt uses word to make me visualize her story. The only problem i had was i wish there was more. I always hate when a good story ends. But knowing another story from Ashley is on its way is what keeps me reading. It only took me a couple hours to read but it was well worth it. Enjoy it. I did. Can't wait to read more. Great job Ashley!😘👍👍

The battle is at stalemate, both sides are losing to many soldiers. Finally an Elder is captured and negotiations for peace are started. The A'li-uud are heading home, in a shipped made on Earth with human representatives to negotiate with the council. This prove to be more difficult than first thought. It's not necessary to read the previous books, but you'll want too. This book is very enjoyable and hard to put down. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I received this book from the author and I am reviewing it voluntarily.

This is my first book in the series that I have read. It can be read as stand alone and for that I am grateful. I rather enjoyed reading and De'inde and Roxanne's story was very interesting and Alberterra with its purple whispy clouds, turquoise skies, and verdant green vegetation sounds like a mysterious and heaven-like place.

Wow -so I came into this series on this book - will definitely be going back to book one
I liked the way the story played out and I definitely want some back dirt on a few of the characters
Though it was a short read it was easy to connect to the H/h and get lost in their journey
There is a lot more to this story and the world building was galactic (okay so I like puns)
Looking forward to more

This is the story of the Albaterra aliens, except here the alien is actually wanting to return to their planet after doing a pre-emotive strike on earth. He meets a human who helps to negotiate their return and she has to travel there too. They are mates
