During the course of my career as a dentist caring for Americas' veterans, it became apparent with time that many of them felt comfortable sharing their unique stories with me. Some even suggested that something should be done to record and share this information with others interested in the legacy of their stories. And so this labor of love was completed in recognition of their sacrifices.
This is a wonderful book that tells the stories of survivors of World War II. The stories are outstanding and serve as an example of the Greatest Generation. Each story is as compelling as the ones before and contains the personal experiences of those that survived and their friends and colleagues that died. I couldn't put the book down.
