Kalila wa Dimna (Kalila and Dimna) is a collection of animal fables that centers around the jackals Kalila and Dimna, who are also brothers. The story cycle originated in India more than two thousand years ago and circulated widely in the Near East. It is considered one of the most popular collections of stories ever written. Three of the stories have been adapted in this book; they are tales about resourcefulness, jealousy, and friendship.

About the author

Sabiha Al Khemir was born in Tunisia. She is an author, illustrator and Islamic art historian. Her publications span fiction, cultural essays, art history and book illustration. She has also written and presented television documentaries, and was the founding director of the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha, Qatar.

كليله ودمنه كنت دائما اعتقد ان اصولها عربيه - والان تفاجأت انها تعود الى الهند من اكثر من الفي عام فكليله ودمنه هما اثنان من ابناء ابن أوي - تتناقل على لسانهم الاخبار والحكيات والحكمة والموعظة فحصدت شعبيه عالميه ترجمت لاول مرة بالعربيه فى القرن الثامن الميلادي ولكنها تتقاطع وتتشابك مع الارث الادبي للكثير من الشعوب
حكايتها الجميله التي لا ينفذ سحرها يمكن ان يقراها الجميع اولهم الاطفال فى الاصدار الجديد الخاص بدكتورة صبيحة الخمير ذلك لالتحام لوحاتها مع القصص المكتوبه فشكلت تنوع بصري وادبي كبير
تستحق الخمس نجوم ذلك لانها استطاعت ان تصمد كل ذلك الوقت من الزمن
