Deadpool is brainwashed into killing off all the heroes of the Marvel universe. Very dark humor within. It's interesting to see what Deadpool is thinking is happening in that messed up brain of his while he's creatively killing off the spandex crowd of the Marvel universe. The artist does a great job of mixing up art styles to portray Deadpool's visions.

This one was slightly better than the last. You can see Deadpool's anger, and this one feels more in character than the other. Deadpool is extremely loyal, so I don't see him willingly killing his friends. This is still a kinda one off, not a necessary volume to read, so unless you really like Deadpool, like to read everything Marvel, or picked up the first one, it may not even be on your radar.

I only came across this by accident: I found out Moon Knight was in it lmao. But this was?? Awful??

It was KIND of fun. Deadpool is brainwashed and killing all the heroes but in his mind, he thinks he's going on merry adventures and we see this in the form of different art. Using art like this is my favorite thing and the switching between was fun. The contrast between the adorable cartoon art to switching back to the pile of bodies? Nice. But then the rest of this was not fun.

We don't really see the actual action, almost all of this was just showing the super bloody aftermath. Some of the kills were interesting and creative but most were not. Like please I just want to stand on a bus and scream because HOW. How is this ONE DUDE WITH A SWORD slaughtering EVERYONE, every last hero, so easily? My suspension of disbelief is gone and it was just so fucking lazy. All of the heroes with amazing superpowers, with them working together but no he solo'd everyone so easily??? The entire group of the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians, whoever tf else at once?? Ignoring how some of these people really cannot be killed or can be brought back if killed. Big joke. I cannot express how stupid this was.

I swear to you Moon Knight is the only one to put up an actual fight, or at least one of the only non-instakills we see which is WILD. But I guess they did that for me because I don't care about Deadpool and Moon Knight was truly all I was here for.

The way the villains didn't even have a failsafe for their mInDcOntRoL and how he just... easily goes through and kills them too. It just makes no sense because he is one dude with minimal powers but oh no yeah he'll solo the bad guys too. Go off I guess.

They didn't mention enough how fucking weird it was for Magneto to be working with RED SKULL of all villains but I feel like we should talk more about how fucking weird that is.

I know this shouldn't have made me so pissed off but it was just so DUMB like if you are going to murder all the heroes make it a creditable threat not "oh haha merc killing everyone with no effort lol". Clown shit.

Step aside Wolverine, there's a new mind-controlled teamkiller in town! Except this one isn't going to grow old on a farm while the world's baddies run amok for fifty years. He's going to be a little quicker about getting payback.

As far as supervillain schemes go, brainwashing just one guy into taking out the world's heroes feels a little half baked and kinda lazy. First off, it's already a gamble when the guy they picked has a volatile brain to begin with, what with all the regenerating tissue and overall nuttiness. Then they're really just crossing their fingers that this new pawn of theirs can take down hundreds of heroes, many with with vastly superior skillsets. And to top it off, they don't put a fail safe in place in case their guy goes rogue? This isn't Marvel's villains at their finest.

Also, why you gotta do my boy M.O.D.O.K. like that?

This time around, Deadpool killing the Marvel Universe seems even more contrived than last time. Instead of showcasing us the creative ways in which Deadpool disposes of the likes of Thor and Luke Cage, many times we're just shown the bloody aftermath. Both the villains and heroes are more organized than last time and should be able to dispatch their merc problem with a little brainpower and a strategy that doesn't boil down to "walk up to Deadpool and announce your plans to fight." But since it's a Deadpool Kills title they all just sorta flop around aimlessly and die.

Inferior to the original, but still a fairly enjoyable bloodbath.

3.5 stars. This was another story of Deadpool killing the Marvel Universe, as the title obviously implies, but this was done in a much different way. There was a bit more of a reasoning and purpose behind the deaths in this volume than the previous and I enjoyed that quite a bit. I also really enjoyed the ending of this one more than the previous volume. Both are solid, wild, fun Deadpool stories.

This just felt redundant and unnecessary. It's not even that it was a bad read, I just couldn't pull myself to become invested up to a certain point.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again delivers exactly what it promises: a chaotic, violent, and darkly comedic romp through the Marvel Universe, with Deadpool at his most unpredictable, slaughtering all the rest of the Marvel superheroes. The premise of a reality where Deadpool turns against his fellow heroes and villains is an idea that is intriguing, and the book has its moments of brilliance—particularly in its creative fight sequences and fourth-wall-breaking humor.

The art style complements the tone well, with its blend of vivid action and gruesome details. The various art styles work well too, as the moments in Deadpool’s mind are comedic and light amidst his brutal slaughtering of well-known characters. Fans of Deadpool's irreverent nature and those seeking a dark twist on the Marvel Universe will likely enjoy this, but it may not leave a lasting impression compared to some of Deadpool’s other outings.

However, the story is repetitive at times, as the shock value of Deadpool's rampage overshadows deeper character exploration or plot development. The meta-narrative, while clever, doesn’t always hit its mark, leaving some parts feeling disjointed or overly reliant on in-jokes that either rely too much on understanding past Deadpool exploits or run their course much too quick.

Overall, it’s a fun, if somewhat shallow, read—worth checking out for hardcore Deadpool fans or those curious about an alternate take on Marvel's iconic characters.

As somewhat silly these Deadpool Kills books tend to be, this turned out to be a fairly interesting spin on the concept that gave more purpose to Deadpool's lethal actions versus a contrived plot device villain or whatever. It's not exactly high literature, but it is quite clever how they came up with so many creative ways to kill Marvel characters together with some very interesting Elseworlds-style hallucinations for him that could have been fun spin-offs on their own in some cases.

[Note: This Review is for [author:Cullen Bunn|591619]'s Entire Deadpool Killogy & Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again ]

These books were graphic, bloody fun... and very, very little else. Bunn's storyline might be the most Deadpool Deadpool story there is. It's extremely violent, outrageously meta, and chock-full of the Merc with a Mouth's patented a-little-goes-a-long-way brand of cheeky, childish humor.

There's some really fun ideas at play, but none of them ever really go anywhere interesting, and certainly never go anywhere substantial. At best it's a madcap murder-fest. But at worst it's an underwritten excuse to get all of Marvel's biggest names in the same room, then gleefully dismember them. I don't know that I was necessarily expecting something more from these books, but I still wasn't entirely satisfied with what I was given. The first book is a great set-up, and the second teases many interesting multiversal ideas without every really bringing them anywhere. The third—and best—pits Deadpool against Deadpool in a very well drawn, batshit crazy showdown that—again—goes nowhere but at least does so in style. And the final installment, Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again (which is actually more of a standalone, but whatever) was a straight-up waste of time. I really have no idea why it even exists. ::shrugs:: Oh well...

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again (2014)
Writer – Cullen Bunn
Artist – Dalibor Talajić
Series – Deadpool Killogy #2 ; Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again #1-5
Genre – Superhero, Comedy, Thriller

Synopsis: Deadpool gets brainwashed and goes on a murderous kill path

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again is not a sequel, but the same concept in a more structural sense. The original writer and artist are back for this and might have done it better this time around.
The story this time around is a bit more convincing, and has a villain agenda behind it. Utilising different personas to take down the heroes was also done well. A part regarding Logan was also very well implemented. The artwork is excellent and goes into various styles to depict Deadpool’s brainwashed mind. Characters that shone was Moon Knight and Gwenpool.
However, there is still the fact of how Deadpool is ridiculously over powered. It is still too convenient. Making matters worse is Deadpool’s “vision” during the kill sequences, which conveniently don’t show any method of how he does it. We just have to take it at face value, as the next panel would have him atop several bodies. The ending was also anticlimactic, leaving us with no real resolution.
Overall this is slightly better than the first, but once again doesn’t really brings it’s A-team on a real way to bring down the Marvel superheroes.

RJG Rating – 2/5
Goodreads – 3.54/5

This installment sees Deadpool once more aiming his signature brand of chaos at the Marvel Universe. It doesn’t break new ground, nor does it try to what we get here is classic Deadpool: irreverent, loud, self aware, and occasionally introspective. The story leans heavily into parody, with the antagonists going for broke by pitting Wade against what might be either the worst of the worst or the best of the best, depending on your perspective. It's a familiar formula, but it still works... to a point.

The core of the narrative flirts with identity does Deadpool really know himself? Do we? These questions linger in the background but never quite get their moment. The result is a story that’s perfectly serviceable for a single read but lacks the weight or novelty to stick with you long after.

Visually, the art swings between gritty and grotesque, with moments of graphic excess that may not be for everyone. Marvel fans with deep attachments to characters other than Deadpool might want to approach with caution some depictions are brutal, exaggerated, and played for laughs in a way that might not sit well with everyone.

In short, this is a Deadpool book for Deadpool fans. If you’re looking for something clever, violent, and self-contained, it delivers. Just don’t expect much more than that.

See now, after you read the first one, and it hits the tropes you'd expect but is really just a vehicle to get you from set piece of set piece (a glorious, violent vehicle), you wouldn't expect someone to come along and iterate on the concept and elevate it entirely.

It happened. DKtMUA is superior is every way. Not only is it just as brutal, but it is distinctly funnier, whilst actually having a plot. Strange I know, but being able to follow characters external from the Merc himself tracking him, and watching them (spoiler, but not really cause it's in the title) die is far more impactful for this irreverent slasher.

Why is Deadpool the most powerful entity in the Marvel Universe? Cause he is, dunno what to tell you

Definitely better than the previous one. The over-powered insanity s carried in this one as well but somehow it felt more grounded and not to over-the-top like before. Moon Knight brought a bit of charisma in this and most importantly he actually killed the villains in this one. Although, I would have liked it a bit more where he kills the villains more than seeing him kill the heroes yet again in brutal fashion. It definitely feels different from the previous one barring the brutal killings. Nevertheless, it is still good. Not a 5 star book but surely 4.5, since there is no option for that I am selecting 4 stars.

Better than the first one in terms of story.

Someone is killing heros, the bodycount is rising at an alarming rate. but who is doing it?

Deadpool - under powerful mind control, he's been brainwashed (think Winter Soldier) by the bad guys. Can anyone stop him - or turn his attention of the villians?

Wasn't as keen on the artwork on this one, but the different styles (as Deadpool believes he's going on adventures with different heros - he doesn't realise he's killing them), was quite a nifty idea.

Wasn't as 'fun' as the first. I actually finished this one feeling sad and sorry for Deadpool. It didn't even have a satisfying ending, leaving the reader wondering.

I guess it's great that the writing made me feel so much, it just came from such an unexpected place in such an unexpected way that I felt kind of awful for everyone involved.

I love comicbooks, I will admit to being pretty new to Deadpool books and I know things aren't always happy unicorns with him but this was a look at the more depressing side.
