She was an innocent—so good, so pure, so inexperienced. It’d almost be a shame to break her. I was a monster who didn’t believe in love. She’s the kind of girl who’s so good it hurts. So good that I had to claim her. Make her beg, hear her scream. Again and again—until she can never leave.
I was the worst thing that happened in her life. She’s the kind of person who stayed in the lines—played by the rules.
I was not.
There are things that you just don’t get in between. Abbie made that mistake and now she’s at my mercy.
She thought she knew what she was doing. She thought she could handle me.
Once I had her in close, once I got a good look at her tiny body. Her delicate hands. Her full lips screaming to be kissed.
It’ll take everything for me to not lay my hands on her.
It’ll take everything for me not to break her. To teach her.
I can’t wait to get started. Can’t wait to unload. Over and over again until she won’t stop screaming my name.
Unload is a full-length, standalone romance novel with steamy hot sex, NO CHEATING, strong language, a happily every after ending and NO CLIFFHANGERS. Contains dark and disturbing themes, and over the top sexiness that may be uncomfortable for some readers.
This is the first book I read by Kathryn Thomas and I loved it! King is the gritty, but handsome leader of the Black Cossacks MC and Abbie is a beautiful, spunky girl who has no problem speaking her mind! Mix the two together and you get a great story that's full of romance and suspense and it will keep you on edge until the very end!
I am not feeling this book at all. King to me is like a little kid playing at being a biker and Abbie started out a strong character and quickly converted to a stereotypical will have sex anytime, anywhere and anyhow weak character. I love biker books but the plot was questionable from the start... Hope to finish soon... Have no further words to finish this review except to say it was not my cup of tea.
I really couldn't click with this story, nor the characters.
To be blunt, the MC give off the impression of small fish in a big pond or of little boys in daddy's shoes. For me it doesn't add up.
With regards to the main characters: the main bloke is a bit of a wet blanket and the main girl is ok, but she goes from normal to amateur porn star.
The dynamics between the two are like gender role reversal, but not in a good way. King goes all poetic about Abbie; abbie reads like she's using king for sex.
Writing wise, it's ok. I haven't spotted any glaring grammatical errors.
I feel bad giving it a 1 star review, but ultimately I'm not enjoying this and I wouldn't recommend it sadly.

UNLOAD
I absolutely loved this book. It was exciting and entertaining, filled with action, drama, and romance. Once I started reading this book, I just couldn't put it down till it was finished. The characters were strong and stubborn, but also engaging and funny. I love reading biker stories but I often find multiple things I don't enjoy in them, however in this one I loved everything. This author never disappoints, a really enjoyable read.
This is the first book I've read in this series and by this author and I wasn't disappointed. Well worth reading!
Unload is an action-packed rollercoaster romance that shows; opposites really do attract. King is the leader of the Black Cossack Motorcycle Club, a club that don't always function within the confines of the law. Abbie is a good girl who works in PR and is president of her buildings housing association. He's stubborn and cocky and she's feisty and independent. They are such an unlikely match but they have smoking hot chemistry which results in explosive sex. This story has a HEA and no cliffhanger. I really enjoyed the book, it was dark in places and predictable in others but overall it was engaging and well paced. The characters were likeable and interesting. Having read Unload I would definitely look for more titles from this author.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I was given this ARC for an honest review. King gave the appearance and attitude of a hard nosed, arrogant leader of a biker club but then he met petite, feisty Abbie and his persona had to change if he wanted to keep her. He struggled to appease the gang members and keep Abbie safe withoutt her knowing she was in danger. Juggling honesty without telling the whole truth, lies by omission. The Incas .... a rival, brutal gang hell bent on luring King and his gang into illegal activities. This is their story of rivalry, revenge and love. Really enjoyed the story. Hot steamy read, angst, suspense and romance, ingredients for a goodread.
This is a great MC romance which is one of my favorite genres. I really liked Abbie. She takes on King and the rest of the MC when they start issues in her neighborhood. When she is reluctantly brought into everything, she tries to get out but King is very persuasive. I could see why he was hard to resist. He keeps a lot hidden but is not really how he appears on the surface. There is great chemistry between them.
