The Married Guy’s Guide to Great Sex really should be read by married and soon to be married as it has some great insights and practical advice for all men on the topic of intimacy in the physical realm. I appreciate the honest and candid advice that is given with a heart of really loving your wife.
Too often there is an hesitancy to seek out guidance on this topic but this book approaches it with a proper understanding that seeks to encourage and direct with principles rather than focus solely on physical matters. For that I am grateful that such a book exists.
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
A good book if you have some issues you want to resolve in the bedroom. Otherwise, a little negative with a list of 21 possible problems men could have. The wife's book, Enjoy, is much better. Just read that together. Even though I disagreed with some of the Penner's view points, this book was still a good conversation starter for my husband and I.
Not a man, but read this in my search for good "sex books" to recommend to fellow conservative Christians.
• Good relationship book for all men; good sex book for men who have experience (sex basics not covered) • Men should follow the wife’s lead in sex and desires in life – Laura Doyle (The Empowered Wife--a 5 star relationship book) would approve, but affirms Biblical headship • Masturbation is normalized (no shame), but not necessarily encouraged
Helpful advice for Christian husbands. Tastefully written, with many helpful recommendations, including for spouses who have struggles or abuse in their past.
