Gotrek and Felix tread the dangerous road to Skabrand, expecting a glorious fight with the ogres. However, all is not as it seems in the frozen mountains, and they face a foe that they never could have expected.

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask…
Working as caravan guards for a merchant expedition, Gotrek and Felix set out from the trading post of Pigbarter on the long journey down the Silk Road to Cathay. Felix hopes for some quiet time, while Gotrek wishes to meet some of the vicious ogres said to plague the route. But as the caravan passes into the frozen mountains, the pair must defend their employers from the monstrous creatures that haunt the snow-shrouded slopes: the mythical yhetee!

A short taking place during Gotrek and Felix's twenty years of travels beyond the Empire and the Old World. Deep in the Mountains of Mourn, on the long road to Cathay, the Slayer contends with a legendary beast of the high snows, and rival faiths in the valley below.
