Interesting scenes in and around the movie Iron Man 2. Nothing new revealed but kind of a fun way to enhance the watching of the movies and set them in a bigger world.
Kind of boring. Didn’t care about the actual fighting and war stuff. I cared more about Tony’s flashbacks and dealing with being a superhero rather than all the fighting and stuff.
I enjoyed Black Widows part in this. But hers was very short.
I really like the artwork. The Spotlight part interviewing Adi Granov, Matt Fraction, etc is informative for me who have not been to close to the Western comic world.
I felt that this was just averaged in terms of the story, obviously the artwork is pretty good, but this was a bit disappointing for me. I am very glad I got this graphic novel on sale and not for full price just because it was so short and they could have done so much more with the story. I know that this is like a prerequisite to Iron Man 2 the film, but I just felt that they played it very safe and very predictable with this one, it had so much potential but it just was never realized with this (and that is the most frustrating part the potential not being realized) but anyway this is not a bad graphic novel, far from it, it is more on what it could have been.
Another MCU tie-in, this one set in the six months between the ending of the first Iron Man and the beginning of Iron Man 2. In essence, this is the first MCU ‘prelude’ comic, although not necessarily titled ‘Prelude’.
More or less, it explains Stark’s adventures over his first six months after publicly revealing himself to be Iron Man. Fans of the whole ‘Ten Rings’ saga might probably want to read this, as they’re behind some mischief in this comic’s three issues.
the lineart has so many flaws i didnt bother reading past the second issue bc i found it too distracting to read. the colouring looks like it was done by someone whod never coloured digitally before... im disappointed
Missing-link antara film Iron Man 1 dan Iron Man 2.
Surprisingly, this had less to offer than the first one. With such a wealth of stories (current and past) at Marvel's disposal, I expected more comics and less filler. It felt like half of the book was interviews with obscure comic artists, which would perhaps appeal to some, but I quickly skimmed over it and found little of interest.
Pretty slight read. Felt more like an exercise in mechanics of tying storylines together than of something meant to entertain us. I didn't feel happy at the end, more liked I'd read a few chapters of homework for a modern history class.
Again, another book where the art far outstripped the story. Marvel needs to look for some writers with some skill in getting me to give a crap about what Stark is up to, otherwise this is just formulaic crap put out to make money...oh what...that was Stan Lee's plan....
