What do you get when you mix "Breaking Bad" with "James Bond"? La Mexicana!

This is a fast paced spy/espionage thriller that will keep you guessing until the very last page. The book starts with a horrific torture scene, so you know you are in for a wild ride.

Brian Tyler appears to be a rather meek, nerdy guy who is sent to Mexico by his employer, Optec Oil. But, is Brian really what he seems to be or is he an elite assassin? When he meets a beautiful cleaning lady at his office, he imagines being with her. But, is Rosa also more that she appears?

This book has plenty of action, sex, violence, cursing in both Spanish and English and lots of twists and turns. And, the ending? Time to throw your reader across the room! The book was fast-paced and well-written, but I would only recommend it for those who are true spy thriller fans. Otherwise, you will find your head spinning trying to figure out what is actually happening!

I was given the chance to read this book through a review group and chose to review it.

First time reading a book by this author and this author.............and it was definitely something different. This was a fast-paced, action packed thriller that kept me on my toes. Brian Turner accepts a promotion at Optic Oil........but he is not who he seems to be. In fact no one in this book is who they seem to be. In drugs, power, and war.........it's kill or be killed and trust NO one especially not the U.S. Government. The author did an excellent job of tying everything together and for it to be a short book, the character development was awesome.

La Mexicana

A heart racing thriller of a story. Story was fast paced all the way to the end. Loved it. Buttt it leaves you on a cliffhanger. I despise cliffhangers.

Brian is in Mexico for one reason and one reason at all. To get to and take down Hector before his plans to buy new weapons comes to fruit. And at all costs. Unknown to Brian, some one is out to get him. He wants to know who and why. And futher more why does it all point back to the oil company?

Trust No One

The moment you read the 1st page you knew you were in for a thrill ride. This story made you feel as if you were watching Scandal or a James Bond movie. The characters were not predictable and had you second guessing everything you read. Great story by Navi' Robins!

La Mexicana was a fantastic, thrilling read. I loved every minute of this, but the ending had me yelling No! This is definitely a must read for anyone. The first few pages were hard for me to get into, but once I did, I couldn't put it down.

Hector runs the most powerful drug cartel in Mexico City, and he's as ruthless as they come. He has power and wealth and a huge loyal following.

Brian just got the promotion of a lifetime. He's a shy genius who happens to have a chance encounter with the beautiful woman who cleans his office. He's falling in love with her, but they both have secrets that puts their relationship in jeopardy.
