Isla Lennox is the best interpreter aboard the Alliance ship Argo -- if the captain would ever give her a chance to do her job. When he finally does, Isla's big break turns into chaos and panic as she and all the female crew members are traded to an alien ship in exchange for the Argo's safe passage. The giant Xaravian warriors are intimidating, covered in scales, and... way too attractive. Isla and her friends won't surrender quietly, but it seems like the Xaravians are looking forward to that kind of fight. The moment Vaant sees the beautiful, sassy interpreter, he knows he can't leave her in danger. She thinks he's a pirate and a dangerous rebel -- and that he bought her and her friends. Vaant must prove his honorable intentions, even as her flashing eyes and curvy figure drives him mad with desire. He'll even endanger his ship and go to the edge of the universe to keep her safe. When her former captain frames Vaant for destroying an innocent ship and murdering another crew, Isla must face that the Alliance she served so proudly is not what it seems. Starting a new life as a rebel with Vaant sounds more and more appealing, but first they'll have to fight through half the Alliance fleet, escape a crumbling space station, and find love among the stars.

Sci-fi romance is not a text book on quantum physics but a flight of the author’s imagination - we all accept that. However - and this is my personal gripe – it really annoys me when the author dumbs down or distorts the science part so much that it makes you feel like there is an expectation that starting from page 1 you will leave your brain behind.

My particular gripes with this book:

The alien’s lexicon includes such words and phrases as ‘repertoire’ and ‘spitting nails’

The alien’s diet includes such items as coffee, sandwiches, cabbage, pickles and smelly cheese.

The alien’s communication system consists of radio.

The rescued aliens are constantly referred to as squids – not even to create a name for the species is just lazy.

After having her leg and shoulder injured our h did not have any problems with having her hands secured behind her back as well as going doggy – style during an energetic sex romp (I realise that love can heal a lot, but not actual body damage)

My biggest issue came relatively early in the book with a description of an emergency repairs of the squid (here is that description again) ship, because apparently, the engine room contained and our h inhaled antimatter. Anyone who have even tiniest scientific knowledge or a fan of science fiction knows that in modern physics antimatter is defined as a material composed of the antiparticles (or “partners”) to the corresponding particles of ordinary matter. A collision between any particle and its anti-particle partner is known to lead to their mutual annihilation with a release of energy. In other words, release of antimatter would have blown-up the ship – forget about inhaling it.

The world building is paper- thin and the charaters themselves, particulally Griggs , are one - dimentional

In summary, I have not found cruising on Galaxos love boat that enticing – Newton forbid, but with all the bonging going around antimatter breach is inevitable.

Gotta say rattling scales made me rethink my fervent adoration of Thane from Mass Effect 2. At least Thane didn't have rattling scales. Barbaric rebel space aliens save troublesome female Alliance fleet officers. Decent enough- not anything dazzling but an easy quick read.

DNF at 38%. It’s not terrible but falls into inappropriate behavior territory and I don’t have time for it. If someone believes they have been kidnapped and are a prisoner, is recovering from injuries, and is chewing you out... you do not get to kiss her and still be considered a good guy. This is creepy, inappropriate behavior.

I hate when authors write characters (usually male) who think that, just because they are attracted to someone and think the other might be attracted to them, they can make sexual moves. That’s not how it works. I can be attracted to someone and still distrust them. Give her a chance to get to know you and trust you. This could have been done better.

I love everything that Juno Wells writes. This first book in the Galaxos crew series was no exception. Juno joined with Layla Nash to write the first two of these books. I hope more in the series will be coming. Lots of unanswered questions and romances here.

The story opens with the Alliance Fleet ship Argo being boarded by the warrior crew of the Galaxos. The Xaravians are about 7' tall and big and brawny. The despicable captain of the Argo wants them gone so he can go about his nefarious actions of stealing in stolen goods, illegal trading, blowing up ships and safe stations for travelers. To try to get rid of the Xaravians, he offers them food. Sorry, already have enough. Fuel? No thanks, full there, too. How about a woman? hmm third on your list?
Must not be rated too highly. The captain of the Galaxos asks how many women does he have. He has 6 and will gladly sell them to the Xaravian Warriors, no questions asked. Captain Vaant meets one, when the normal translator has difficulty with the Xrav language. He's a poorly trained translator, so the Argo's captain reluctantly calls Ilsa Lennox to the bridge to translate the multiform Xravian language. Unlike the Argo's captain's favored translator, Ilsa is a top translator, able to speak nearly every alien language. She is constantly upgrading her unused skills and has a huge inventory of swear words and phrases that she has collected.

Vaant takes one look at her and knows that her captain does not value his female staff. Vaant decides to take all 6 of them. He knows that if he doesn't, the captain will just sell them at the first opportunity and there are many horrible places they could find themselves. So, that is how this story starts. Captain Vaant confident that he is saving the women, and the women convinced they were sold into slavery. The fun is just beginning.

Before the final HEA and epilogue, we have space fights, space stations almost blown to bits, lots of adventures and yes, delightful romance and hot sexy action. The women are tough and a good match for these alpha males. Their all creative and fun to read about. ENJOY this delightful adventure!

Narrator Performance: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧

VAANT was the first of Layla Nash’s or Juno Wells’ writing that I’ve read and I definitely plan on reading more. I’m not one to pay too much attention to blurbs so at the beginning of the story when the captain of the Argo “trades” the females I was surprised. Plus, I was excited to come across a situation in a Sci-Fi Romance that I hadn’t encountered before. There’s no doubt that I want to continue this series.

Another thing that I really enjoyed about this story was the female solidarity. Isla and the rest of the females stood up for each other. I think that they complimented each other well. Where one was soft another was hard. Together they formed a well rounded group.

Although I truly enjoyed this book I must admit that there were some issues with the story. I found the world building to be incomplete. At times it was almost nonexistent. I have a lot of unanswered questions about the Xaravians. Also, one of the races of aliens in the book were called squids. That’s such a simplistic and uncreative name of a race of beings. On top of that I found some of the phrasing weird. However I think the thing that bothered me the most about the story was that a secondary character, the cultural specialist, should have had more page time. I think she should have spoken up to the other females in the story to guide them through the situations.

Rachel Music did a fantastic job with the narration. I was thoroughly engrossed by her performance. At first I thought that her pace was a bit fast but I quickly got used to it. I love it when narrators use different voices to bring life to the characters and that’s exactly what she did. Her pace, while on the faster side, was steady and consistent. I can’t wait to experience another of her performances.

This was a nice start to a series. We have a group of tough and strong willed human women who are taken in by a ship full of "pirate" aliens. I found the plot to be fast paced and enjoyed the characters. No OM or OW drama, so that was nice. I look forward to checking out the next book in the series.

2.5 stars. This was an ok book but didn't "wow" me. I liked the characters and I'll be interested to read more about them later. But this book was kinda boring in spots and I skimmed a lot. It seems to suffer from "first book syndrome" where too much time is spent introducing the new world our characters live in and all the conflicts etc. Just lost my interest.

Isla is a translator with the alliance who meets Xaravian Vaant when she is traded as a slave alongside most other female staff by her alliance captain. Slowly she realises that the alliance she believes in is not the great institution she signed up for.

DNF 62%. This book is an ok read but after having just read a quite intense sci-fi read I found this story a bit lacking. The squid people were a bit one-dimensional and the difference between the Xaravians and the humans was not great enough.

I thought the physical differences were good. The spines, the scales, the changing colours and the language but they spoke and thought in a very human way which seemed to undo all their differences.

This added to the instalove just made the story all a bit surface level for me. It could well just be my mood but I wasn’t feeling it and I need to make space on my KU list so I think i’ll pause on this one for now.

An entire storyline built on a misunderstanding that could have been resolved within the first 10 pages.

A bunch of "feisty" females behaving poorly. Ugh...I'll be so happy when this phase of Romance passes; I'm so sick of women being portrayed this way.

Isla is an interpreter on a space ship. When her ship is boarded by a group of warriors, her captian trades her and the other women on the ship for passage through the area.

Vaant and his crew aren't slavers but he takes the women since he doesn't trust the captian and worries about the women's wellbeing. When he gets them on his ship, a series of miscommunication and misunderstands lead to the women thinking they were taken by force.

There were many twists and turns with this book that I didn't see coming but overall, I didn't love it. There was nothing I can really put my finger on but it didn't 'wow' me. The plot seemed a little all over the place but after finishing the book, I know we were seeing what was happening from the characters perspective so we don't know what's going on till they do. Still it just didn't flow smoothly (to me). I guess I wanted more about why things happened. Isla is an interpreter. Most books in this genre have machines/implants/universal languages that would make an interpreter superfluous. Yet time and again, she was needed because she knew random obscure languages. How did she learn them? They say she studied but how did she learn some obscure, backwater language when a seasoned, military trained space traveler didn't know them? It seemed odd to me. Also, I wanted more about Vaant's backstory. How'd he get his ship? Do all his people support the same cause? How'd the Alliance get so much power and backing if it's corrupt? How did Isla's ship only have 5 (or was it 6?) women? How'd they get their positions if they'd always been under-utilized?

The romance was a little off to me. I liked how it built but after about 80% or so Isla is suddenly head over heels for Vaant. I understood Vaant's how feelings built and Isla's up to a point. But she has all these negative views about him and his crew then suddenly it's, I can't leave him, I want to be with him forever. Um, what?

I'm not saying I hated this book. I did enjoy it. I really liked the banter between the main characters. I liked how 'alien' Vannt was (even if I still don't really understand what he looks like). His traits, changing skin, ect were interesting to read about. I liked how Isla is smart and is a valued crew member. I liked the other human women we meet and how they all seemed to have special skills.

On the whole, I'm on the fence with continuing this series. I did like the glimpse we got of the MC's from the next book but I'm not currently in the mood for a series about rebels trying to fight a larger, more powerful organization. I may come back to this one later.

Eh, just okay.

Xaravian Vaant is the rebel captain of the Galaxos, who becomes quickly smitten with Earther Lieutenant Commander interpreter Isla Lennox. After Vaant suspects the Argo's captain of engaging in illegal activities, the fleet Captain Witz bribes Vaant with food, fuel, and finally, the Argo's female officers to keep him quiet. Of course, Vaant accepts the females, which in his mind is chivalrous because the captain will pawn them off to a worse group.

The officers are outraged and in disbelief that Captin Witz sold them into slavery but rather that the Xravian crew kidnapped them. So, the beleaguered officers make a plan to escape, although Isla may not be on board with the other five women as she falls for Vaant. It's no surprise Isla turns out to be Vaant's mate, thus explaining the instant attraction between them.

Vaant suffers from grammatical errors, predictability, and a boring plot. The characters need better definition, especially the Xaravians, and the story seems rushed as the author is busy setting up book two of the series with Vrix and Griggs. As alien paranormal romances go, Vaant is a mediocre freshman effort as the first in the Galaxos Crew series will pass the time on a rainy day.

On my Were Scale of Hotness, 2.5 stars.

Loved the positive twist on an alien abduction story!
This book is amazing, well written and full of great positive characters! The female characters are strong, intelligent and honorable women who get betrayed by a system that doesn't value them. The male aliens in this story are on the same level. Although they come together under duress, they are evenly matched. I loved the relationship that develops between Isla and Vaant, but I also enjoy all of the connections with the secondary characters. The story has a kind of adult alien style Super Friends and the Justice League vibe going that is pretty cool and not something that I have read in any of the other SciFi alien romance books so far. There is violence, there is intimacy, there is double crossing, but through it all, the story remains strong and positive. I put off reading this one for while and now I am sorry that I waited as long as I did and can't wait to read the next one in the series!

This was a good story. Quite funny. Feisty heroine.
I would have liked the alien race to have more of their own terms for things, as an example, at the start when he is thinking of boarding the human ship he thinks of taking his guys with him, I couldn't really see this term being used, it was an ideal opportunity to have a special term for the boarding party.
This is the first book in the series.

Great story, great characters

This was a great story, well written with just enough of everything. All the characters are wonderful, and well developed. The H seems to have a very unique appearance although I still can't form a complete image. The women were smart and strong but still feminine. I look forward to the reading the next book in the series.

It wasn't bad, just cheesy. Lots of eye roll worthy moments. It had potential. The characters were ok, though I like my men a bit more manly. The series of events was good.

I received this book free to read and I and going to give an honest opinion of it as best as I can. I really like this book for many reasons. Of course I like a happy ending of sorts, but along with the intense moments for the women there were also sprinkling of little funny moments as well. The author in her description of the truth about the Alliance kind of reminded me of a lot of big name corporations that we have in the world today. With Isla Lennox , CiCi Griggs and the four other women have their lives completely changed in one day and everything that they had believed about the Alliance, even more so her ship the Argo and the Captain Witz has been turn completely around and backwards. Then Isla has to try and get the other five women to see the truth of their situation. It is sort of a weird twisted Robin Hood kind of thing that they may start as their adventure.

Isla Lennox is sitting Mess Hall of the Argo going over a commuincation that was received by the captain from the Xaravian aboard the Galaxas. She was frustrated because she was the Senior officer and the top level translator of most of alien that were known. The Xaravian has three levels of language, the Captain had called Prescott to the bridge when she knew the man knew nothing if the language. CiCi Griggs better known to everyone as just Griggs was the Head Cheif of Security and yes she is a bad ass woman and I like her. Grimms notices that Isla is upset about something and tell her to spill. It seems the Captain wont let Isla even go to any of the meeting or briefings, he keeps her from doing all of her duties. It is not long after this that both women are called up to the Bridge. In

Vaant the Captain of the Galaxas and his Cheif of Security and best friend Vrix are on the bridge of the Argo speaking with the Captian. Vaant had his suspensions of the Argo and it’s Captain. It was a reported fact by some of the other planets that the Argo along with other Alliance ships were going to these lesser known planets stealing their technology, reverse engineering it the selling it as their own through out the galaxy; there for they would ruin that planets financial income; in some cases they were even destroying smaller ships and decimating planets as they went. Vaant was trying to figure out what they were doing in this sector of space. Captain Witz was thinking that these warriors were pirates and was offering them up things so that they would leave them alone and let them go on their way. Witz offered them food, and fuel, to each Vaant said that he didn’t need the Witz offered up the six women they had on board the ship. The translator, the chief of security, a medical officer, a legal officer, a woman that specializes in the behavior of other alien species, and the 1st officer over engineering. It was then that Vaant knew he had to step in if this man was sleazy enough to give up the women of his crew there is not telling who he would give them to. He knew that at least with him they would be safe so he agreed after Isla and Griggs came in and Isla talked to him in the high level of his language when the other interpreter could only put a few words together in the low level. Plus there was something about her that just grabbed him. When the agreement was struck that is when all hell breaks loose. Neither Vaant or Vitx knew that the women were such fighters. The captain and said something about sedating them and sending for a medical officer especially for Griggs as she was beating the crap out of several of the bridge crew that were trying to restrain her. Isla had a stun gun and kept zapping Vaant every chance she got until the medical officer injected her.

From here on out the story gets funny and a bit intense at time. I love the way that all of the men had underestimated what these women were capable of doing. The author has many more stories to tell and I for one am looking forward to reading them and how these women find love but also do what the dreamed of doing in the first place. What is that you wonder; the want to make a difference in the galaxy, to help the ones that need the help and to track down the one that are stealing and harming others to try to bring them to some sort of justice. There are a lot of adventures if feel coming up in the future.

Though I rated this 3 stars, I would give it an extra half a star because this was the kind of science fiction romance I was wanting. It really satisfied the craving I had for aliens, space adventures, and romance.

Sometimes I think it's hard to find a good science fiction romance with a strong hero and an equally strong heroine. Overall, I believe the two authors did a fairly good job at creating two characters who could go toe to toe in personalities.

I like science fiction romances where the alien is clearly an alien and not something that easily passes as human. That takes all the fun out of it. Luckily with the Xaravians, we get plenty of awesome and interesting alien features. I loved that they changed colors along with their moods, and though the scale rattling took a while to get a good sense of how that would even work, it was another feature that I got a kick out of. I thought the authors did a good job at setting the building blocks for the Xaravian culture and incorporating that into the crew's daily life on the ship, as well.

I also enjoyed the banter between Vaant and Isla. Their romance overall was fun to follow and I liked that we could see how awesome Isla was at her job. It allowed her to be more than just Vaant's mate and established her as a person in her own right. That also showed how capable the other women were in their crafts as well, especially Rowan and Griggs.

My biggest issue with the book stems from how the authors handled switching perspective each chapter. Now, I prefer having the chapters alternate perspectives because I get a better feel for both characters that way. But I often found it confusing when a new chapter started and would wind back the clock a bit only to have the same action from the other character's perspective. To me, this was being redundant and slowed down the storyline. I don't know if each author wrote only the story from either Vaant's or Isla's POV, but I believe the story would have flowed better without the backtracking.

That said, I really enjoyed the book and can't freaking wait for Vrix's and Griggs' story. That one is shaping up to have plenty of fireworks and I am totally down for that. Bring on more badass heroines and color-changing, scale-rattling heroes!

This book was an easy read with nearly zero errors which I loved.

First the Pros:
-Isla and Griggs are both bada$$ and I enjoyed reading them in the story.
-I also really liked how alien curses were "sandworms" and such, not actual profanity. It was cute and gave the story a bit of uniqueness.
-Also the Einstein/Newton exclamations instead of "oh my god"... made it more interesting.
-Saving the Squids and the action at the port

Cons...
-Isla says that she and Vaant spent a long time discussing their backgrounds and personal stories...but WHY didn't the READERS GET THESE STORIES?! This made their mate claims so out of place. We never really saw them building a relationship. It was all back and forth about independence and who was in charge and s3x... which is great, but not when the reader sees this is all their relationship consists of.
-The Alliance betrayal made the human women look exceedingly stupid. You are ALL OFFICERS!!! You can't tell me you all work on the same ship and know the men push you back from the front lines but that doesn't make you the lease bit suspicious. Especially Griggs with her "fight first" mentality! So you are all either stupid, complicit or purposefully blind. None of which are great.

This confused me a bit..-Isla said at one point she was 28 or 29 then at a later time says she's spent half her life working for the Alliance (she admits some of that time was just being in the academy). So she has been training for the academy since she was 14 or 15? That seems pretty young. But if the author had EXPLAINED any thing about how current Earth is we would know if this was typical.

I think this would have been way more interesting if you nixed all the romance out. The romance parts really stalled and in some cases, took over the whole story. The author should have kept the alien kidnapper-but-are-actual-heroes but have the 6 Earth women hitch a ride with them to the next port. Keep the squid rescue and Port upheaval but be centered around the women and their great adventure fighting the Alliance, clearing their name and exploring the universe.
I am not interested enough to continue the series.

A Terrific Book v OVER 18+READING

I have laughed out loud so much reading this book.. I do believe that if I had a lot of this kind of fun stories I might not spend so much time looking for books. You have a group of six highly trained young women on a spaceship who are given to a alien ship captain by their captain against their wishes. Little did they understand that he only excepted to rescue them from what he knew their captain could do to them if it benefited him in some way. The fun starts as soon as the interpreter Isla and security Griggs realized that the aliens were taking them and the battle they but up. The Xaravian Captain Vaant and his security chief Vrix quickly become attached to these two even before they get them back to their ship. All six of the women were sedated by their own captain's orders and carried to the Xaravian ship. At first they begin planning to escape then they hear of a ship attacked needing help and since Isla had to translate what was being said and they allowed the other women to help in their own field of training. Then their is a spaceport attacked and again stop to help and the women help. They soon realize that they have got to do what they trained for more in the few days then in the four years on the ship they had been on. As they discover what has been really going on they must decide what they really want. At the same time as as love story or love war is going on. Well worth reading.

3 stars!

ARE YOU TIRED OF THE T.S.T.L HEROINES? Then this book is for you !

If you love a tough female lead and kickass supporting females then you’ll love this book.

Everyone has a different taste for how they like their Alien romance. I like a little bit of damsel, alpha male , and intelligent female lead. I prefer all those aspects In one. They were tough… and I love it , but I also wanted to see the guys do some fight and defending. The H did save the females lives, but they encountered more danger being with them, then on the alliance

The warriors were descriptive eye candy, but not much else. The only time a male alien fought in this book was when one of them was fighting the human female woman named grigs.

If your m sick of the limp “save me type” tropes then this is for you . It’s very action packed that I can say! But the females are leading all of it.

The Aliens weren’t Alpha enough. And the character Griggs needs to dial it down some.

Not until the very end of the book did she soften for H ( made lead) and the romance started. I was little bummed by that.

Questions : how did his manhood look? It was described as a “knot”. what did the squid people look like? Did some of the squid people get killed at the space port?

Even though I like softer female leads and a big strong tough guy …. I’m Still giving this book 3 stars because it was entertaining and well written!

In everything I thank the authors for sharing their imagination with me.

Headstrong but not hardheaded

Isla is a little grumpy. She's not been allowed to do her job as an interpreter. The guy who speaks fewer languages, and badly at that, has been picked repeatedly, though. When she gets the calll to come to the bridge to interpret for a group of Xaravians she practically runs there. What she finds is not what she expected. She and a female security officer, plus the other 4 women crew members on board, are tranqued, rounded up and handed over to the aliens. What??

Spoilers ahead.
I liked Isla and her best friend, Griggs. For a non tactically trained officer she didn't sit quietly by. She plays to her strengths, bides her time, and makes like challenging for who she believes to be her captors. Vaant is a captain of a group of rebels on a rundown ship. He's in charge, but not a jerk. He listens to his crew, follows his instincts, and isn't afraid to challenge the beliefs of the humans now on his ship. Telling them their commander handed them over as a bargaining chip, and not even as a first choice (he offered food then fuel then them), was not fun. But turning them loose on the people that betrayed them was. These women were awesome. I can't wait to read Grigg's story. A tough security guard vs tough but sweet alien man who is teaching her new ways to fight. This should be fun.

Entertaining, imaginative sci-fi romance

The authors have created a universe of space travel and interaction between alien races with a interspecies love story. A talented earth woman translator becomes involved with the large colorful somewhat reptilian captain of a rebel pirate ship. The relationship doesn't involve kinky sex, since each species appear to be compatible. ( I believe their compatibility should have been explored and explained more, though.) The plot is a twist on the Star Trek ideal of a United Federation of Planets. Instead, the heroine is a member of the Alliance, a vaguely described body that she has been brought up and trained to believe is the force of law and justice in the universe. Then her Argo captain sells her and the 5 other female crew members to the alien Xaravians in exchange for their looking the other way regarding the Argo's illegal activities. She and her best friend start to understand that just maybe the Alliance isn't what they thought. Yet, can they trust the Xaravians?
The story is full of action and romance as the characters must decide whom they can trust and just how to get out of some very sticky situations.
I enjoyed the novel enough to give it 4 stars, but plot weaknesses prevented me from giving it 5.

Isla Lennox was a interpreter on ship but the captain was not letting her do her job. Thus starts the first thing you need to know the Captain was a jerk! When he gets caught up to no good he offers the Galaxos (A ship of Xaravians ) the women of the crew in exchange for silence.Unbeknowest to the captain this ship had been watching him for awhile and knew he was dirty. Vaant the captain of the Galaxos knew if he didnt take the women they would b exchanged to others who might treat them poorly. So thats how the two meet . Isla Lennox is a strong, sassy woman who can hold her own . She reminds me of Leia in Star wars before the rat took over. Vaant is a big, strapping alien with a heart of gold . He helps those who the alliance have wronged in anyway he can. The women in this book kick ass and could honestly have thier own adventures without a male. It's really nice to read a book that has strong female characters, male characters that are not jerks, and science fiction all rolled up in a great story. I would have liked more insight in the Xaravians. Thats why its a four not a 5 . Still it was a great book with a story to tell not just tons of sex which I loathe. So if you like futuristic romance I'm sure you will like this. I read it in about 3 hours I think !!

Awsome alien romance saga

Xaravian's aliens are dragon-like with scales on their bodies that changes with their emotions and sexual lusts. Vaant is a captian of a rebel ship whose mission is to stop Alliance from steal technology from other species. They gave up six women crew members to the Xaravians. Isla is an interpreter of several alien languages. She is fighting to get back to the Alliance, but is forced by circumstances to the realization that Argo and the Alliance are hurting innocence aliens in quest for alien technologies. Will she fall in love with Vaant?

The characters are unque, intriguing, and have personalities for their kickass fighting against injustice. The plot is a fast pace drama with intriguing personalities to involve the reader imagination to realizing the possibility of alien life might be like. I love the characters of the scale-ratting color changing emotional aliens. They are awesome!

Highly recommended. I am definitely gonna get the series.

Instant love

I’ve truly enjoyed books by Layla and Juno before so I was excited to start reading this series that they combined on. I was slightly disappointed because I’m not really a fan of instant love BUT they wrote it well in this story.

Vaant being an alien captain with skin that changes colors like a mood ring was very entertaining. Isla as a human interpreter of alien languages catches his eyes as soon as he sees her. And the Xarav people love a feisty human.
I was a little disappointed that there isn’t much world building and you have to just go with the flow, but it’s not far off from Star Wars with Alliance and Rebels. Overall it was an easy quick read with a slow burn.
