Me ha sorprendido MUY positivamente a pesar de ser una historia sin mucha profundidad en los personajes y en general con bastante relleno para el número de páginas. Y el principio que es demasiado confuso y lento, a mi parecer.
Algo que me ha encantado ha sido que metiera el autor un poema SUBLIME que tiene relación con el tema de la guerra y que encaja perfectamente en el contexto de la historia. Además de eso, adoro que la "historia de amor" no sea del todo convencional. Es decir, sí que es básicamente amor instantáneo pero adoro que al final solo fuera otro de los factores secundarios de la historia.
He de admitir que ha sido mucho más brusco de lo que me esperaba, con un par de giros en ese sentido bastante interesantes y arriesgados. Que en mi opinión han sido más que necesarios.
Pero, sin lugar a dudas, lo mejor del libro haya sido la reflexión final de uno de los protagonistas respecto a la guerra. Que se planteara quién era verdaderamente el malo y quién era el bueno me ha parecido escalofriante. Un factor que sin duda no había visto venir y que me ha parecido crucial y muy bien encajado. En definitiva, un libro bastante bueno que ha conseguido llegar a gustarme mucho más de lo que me esperaba al comenzarlo.

Le falta la profundidad que se suele esperar de un libro sobre la guerra. Sin embargo, creo que la intencionalidad es más de relato corto que sirva como acercamiento a los horrores de la guerra para un público más juvenil, en cuyo caso consigue bien su objetivo. El mensaje es claro y se transmite bien, no hay necesidad de perderse en matices morales.
